hey guys, i've gotten every single expansion for ME2 so far, and i haven't had a single problem installing any of them. I had a big problem installing ME2 initially, but turns out my cd drive sucks. got that taken care of. now comes to overlord.
when i double click the icon, i the "ME2 %" window, and as soon as it hits 100%, i get this screen:

now, i did a fair amount of research on it, and i've tried several work arounds, none of them work. i've tried redownloaing it (again... and again... and again), but every time i get the same thing.

as i said, i didn't have this problem with ANY of the other add-on's.

also, while looking around in the properties, i also noticed something ELSE weird about the overlord add-on:

none of the other ME2 add ons are like that either.

am i the only one this is happening to? or am i just overlooking the easy fix?

thanks

Having this problem as well. Tried downloading the .exe again about seven times, kept getting the same error. Tried running the command line switch like it says in the bottom of that window and I get a failed installation. This is the only thread I've seen on the problem, but I know it has to be slightly more widespread than the two of us.

I've been getting a corrupted download for it several times a day since I bought it last Friday. I've tried darn near everything, even calling Time Warner. You know it's bad when you're willing to talk to your ISP's customer "service".

I had this same problem. After downloading the file five times, I finally got lucky and was able to install without error. Never had that issue with any of the other DLC I've installed. Was it the file? My connection? No idea - guess Bioware just wanted to make me work for my latest ME2 fix.

heh, good to see its NOT just me, now if only we could get a fix.

maybe something as simple as whomever is hosting the overlord file to reupload it?

Don't know. I've tried different browsers and download managers. Tempted to start scouring torrent sites.

Actually, I did try downloading the file via torrent (I felt justified, seeing as I had paid for it) and still got the same error. It wasn`t until my fifth download attempt from the ``your registered games promotions`` page that I finally downloaded a copy that allowed me to install. I`ve never seen a problem like this before. I`d also note that there hasn`t been any official word or even developer posts aimed at helping those with this issue. Are they just supposed to keep downloading until they get lucky, like I did, or is there some other solution

Yes...this is happening to me too. We should create a new fan club on the social site dedicated to it.

To the OP, have you tried clicking the unblock button in the properties window? I clicked the button and then renamed the file. This seemed to work, but only after it does the second file integrity check.

By the way, my OS is VISTA 64-bit and it is really peculiar about what it will let you do thanks to that overactive UAC. Still, I had it turned off...so I don't really know what happened here.

Not sure I follow, or rather, that he does, but I'll try it from the game. Although as I recall that just brings up the webpage.

I've been having the exact same error with the Kasumi download. I've downloaded it 10 -15 times, no change.

My Overlord executable didn't have a signature either (or a red ME2 icon for that matter) but installed correctly anyway. I'm using Windows XP pro.

I'm having the same problem... I ran a file comparison between several failed attempts and it seems that there is a difference... A few bytes are different...

so is there no solution for this problem then? other than "try, try again?"

EDIT: O.M.G.!!!! i FINALLY got it to work. compairing the downloads, theres NOTHING different about this file and any of the others i've downloaded. no size difference, nothing. the ONLY thing i did different is, instead of just clicking on the download now link, i right clicked it and 'saved link as' with firefox.... :o
