I figured out how to alter things for vanilla armor pieces easily enough, but I haven't a clue what to do with items in Awakening.  The pallette automatically opens with a variety of vanilla weapons and armors, but I haven't a clue how to access the Awakening stuff.

Basically, I want to alter the robe Spellminder from the Tevinter-style robe to the Chasind-style robe.  I figured out how to alter the armor texture types with the vanilla stuff, so I probably don't need help with that.  I just need to find out how to access the Awakening armors and stuff.

So... what do I do?    Is there a certain file I need to open?

Okay, I found the UTIs and found the value to edit the hard way... but it's not saving. It prompts to save, but does nothing. And when I close the toolset after it not saving like it says it is, Windows reports that the toolset has crashed.

Yes there seems to be aproblem with the toolset when ediiting awakening utis for some reason. Maybe it's a slightly different uti format. You could create your own item with the same ressource name as the one you are trying to override.
