Why is the thresher maw one shotting me on casual difficulty. WHY?!  I was even on elevated ground and it still killed me from behind. It didn't even come up behind me.

Why is the thresher maw able to one shot me on casual difficulty?

Does anyone have a cheat or a trainer that prevents a thresher maw from one shotting you?

I"M Convinced that bioware has no clue how to make a good combat system but they are the MASTER storytellers.

I was trying to play through the whole game without dying on casual. THEN A THRESHER MAW ONE SHOTS ME EVEN WHEN I WAS ON THE ELEVATED ANGLED TERRAIN WTF I"M SO ANGRY.. alskdjflaskdjflkasdjf

No. I was in the vehicle I was even on the elevated terrain and somehow it hit me from behind even though it wasn't even close to me.  

I"m sooo angry at bioware. 

Guys please, is there ANYWAY i canturn on invulnerability mode while driving that vehicle so I don't have to deal with this flawed broken system.

Well actually Thresher Maws are one of the dumbest enemies, just stay still and use the Mako's rocket hop to dodge the acid split, and you can stuff it with bullets and feed it some rockets 'till it dies.

That's too difficult I tried that. I put the difficulty on casual for a reason. It still ends up hitting me a lot.

Keep moving and your vehicle is invulnerable.

Keep moving and your vehicle is invulnerable.

No it's not, the thresher maw is a random npc.  It will come up at you at random. Not much skill involved if you want to drive around and keep moving.

It's not random, if you see smooth terrain, then it's a thresher maw. Also burned vehicles and pile of corpses aren't commonly associated with an oasis full of lushes.

Calm down stay mobile and shoot it a few times and it should die.  Turning your back to it is bad news.

I don't care about being challenged in this game. I just want to play the story out.  But I don't want to die either.

Hence why I set the difficulty to casual.

No. Maws live in ares where you see tiny hills in a big terrain. Here is what I do. I stand still and time it right. I jump when it shoots and it misses then I shoot at it with my missle.

Good job, but i'm not interested in doing stuff like that.

Basically as long as you keep at medium range (around 200 virtual feet) you will be far enough away to avoid the "melee" soundblast that will 1 shot you. You should also have enough time to drive horizontally in the vehicle to avoid the venom spits. You do not have to be going full speed in the Mako to do this. If it submerges, stay where you are. if you're at the right distance it won't reemerge underneath you. It can only reemerge at set distances from it's previous location. If all else fails, get out of your vehicle and fight it on foot while strafing at a distance, you should be able to avoid the venom spits (though your teammates may not). Fighting outside the vehicle will also grant your more experience points.

I'm sure you can find videos of people playing Mass Effect on YouTube. You might want to try that because obviously playing it yourself isn't working out for you.

THIS IS RETARDED.

I just got hit 4 times by the thresher maw and it didn't even kill me.

This game is so inconsistant. This has got to be the dumbest type of combat i've ever seen.

Sometimes it one shots me but other times it doesn't?  *sigh*

I'm so close to just uninstalling this game.
