So fans of Grunt may or may not have seen this thread about the
unused Mordin vs. Grunt confrontation dialogue. And if you glance at that thread, you'll see people discussing how they wish the content had remained in the game. On one hand, I agree that having more squad conflicts would add to the difficulty factor in Shepard trying to organize his elite squad, but on the other, I can see why the content was cut.
Grunt makes it clear that Okeer's hatreds were Okeer's and had no bearing on Grunt's own views about the world -- views that Grunt admits are in their infancy. Now, Okeer didn't seem to care about the genophage like most krogans, but I think Grunt's indifference to what Okeer deems important transfers over to his indifference to what other krogans feel is important.
Grunt wouldn't care about the genophage. He is tank-born, his existence sidestepping the issue of the genophage by skipping the whole reproduction process. His schooling is simply that of images, displayed to him in a vacuum, without any outside voices to influence him. Every other krogan was raised knowing about the genophage, what it does to them, why it was done to them. A lifetime of opinions thrown at them about the manner.
When Grunt does finally express an opinion, it's one that is directly influenced by the Blood Rage within his system. An image of violence upon a turian stirs something within Grunt's Blood Rage. I doubt philosophical discussion about the genophage would do the same.
So yeah, that's why I don't think Grunt would really bother confronting Mordin on the matter.
