I thought that Grunt had a sick, yet at the same time hilarious sense of humor. There were parts that he made me laugh in like the Purgatory mission and several others. Due to Grunts' age and personality, I felt a bit as if there was a father/son relationship going on, not too different from the master/student relationship with Garrus in ME1 & 2.  I wonder how things will be for Grunt in ME3.  He's a genophage-free super-krogan and I helped him defeat the thresher-maw so he should get more respect on Tuchanka.  Also, give him more time and experience and he could one day inherit leadership of Clan Urdnot from Wrex, peacefully I hope.   Whether or not Wrex returns as a squadmate in ME3, I still want to give Grunt the fight of a Krogan lifetime, so that he can share his stories in the future.

URDNOT GRUNT FTW!

He's not, though. If you ask EDI about it before opening the tank, she states that he has the genetic markers of the genophage that are present in every krogan.

Sorry if I misunderstood that fact.  I assumed he didn't have the genophage because he was a PURE Krogan.  Thanks for the correction.  Grunt's awesome!

He says he has kin before the suicide mission, if he is loyal, does that seem right.

I imagine that when you're part of a clan, they are your kin even if not by blood.

So, Grunt fans, i have to ask a question.

Now i know grunt has some sort of destiny, but i have no friggen idea what it is. As far as i can tell, all he has are really good genes. How is that going to "save" the krogan?

The point is, I think, that Okeer could make a sicknasty krogan warrior despite the genophage. That is, that Krogan could improve even with the genophage.

I think Okeer was going for warlord material versus simple grunts, making Grunt's name a big "IN YOUR FACE, DAD!"

My understanding was that Okeer was in essence skipping the process of evolutionary fitness by creating the perfect krogan from scratch. Then there might not be more krogan, but each one would be perfectly fit so they would be a small but strong race.

One would wonder what made the other krogan in the labs inferior stock, as they seemed like your typical grown krogran to me. It's never really stated why Okeer dumped them. How did he know Grunt would be stronger than the rest?

Of course, maybe Okeer just couldn't resist that smile.

Well, he does say, when he talks to Wrex, that he's distilled from the lineages of such-and-such, what's-his-face and maple-Susy, etc.

So... I think,

1). Grunt is pure Krogan in that he can technically say he's descended from the greatest Krogan warlords, a de facto badass. Perhaps the rejects did not contain the right warlord cocktail that Okeer wanted---a pure Krogan is like, 25% Kredock, 45% Moro, 30% Shiagur. Or Perhaps the rejects just didn't pick up the traits from each that Okeer wanted. Like, my brother is more like my dad than me -- Grunt has more of the desired traits from each than the other tank bred.

I think that theory makes sense--that would make his creation more trial than error, if Okeer didn't have any control over which genes came out of the mix of the warlords, and he was basically just "mating" the warlords.

2). Grunt is genetically/physiologically superior to other Krogans. I don't know if it's really established whether grunt is physically larger, stronger, faster, etc than your typical Krogan. I always assumed that was the case, or that he would grow into that condition.

Again, I assumed Grunt is the physiologically peak of Krogan biology, i.e. Okeer figured out just how big, or muscle-y, etc a Krogan could be without adverse affects, and the 1,000s or rejects didn't quite hit Okeer's specifications.

Anyway, Grunt's ma dawg.

It's specifically said Grunt has 'Perfectly formed secondary and tertiary organs where applicable' by EDI which seems to imply that many krogan don't. Okeer mentions that all the genophage does is filter those who can survive it and nothing else, so I assume Grunt is sorta like you say Uszi; what a Krogan can peak at.

It's like he's trying to strike up some pose in that image. You know... for the ladies...

"Hello, ladies, look at your man. Now back to me. Now back at your man. Now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me. But if he stopped using asari body wash and switched to Blood Rage, he could act as pure krogan as me. Look down, now back up. Where are you? You're on Tuchanka with the krantt your man could fight like. What's in your hand? I have it! It's a claymore with tickets to that Right of Passage you love. Look again. The tickets are now thresher maws! Anything is possible when your man feels the Blood Rage. I'm on a varren."

That is one of the better Grunt charging Scion videos I've seen, as you get a good view from behind Grunt versus being caught up in a swarm of husks and you see Grunt come charging from your peripheral.

I wonder what a krogan biotic charge would be like. Instant death, I imagine. Maybe that's why the developers couldn't make Grunt a biotic.

Wrex is a hybrid of Vanguard / Soldier, let's hope the devs will bring him back to the team and similar Vanguard powers like Charge in ME3.

lol nice use of words.

actually he had another better pose, more manly for the ladies or... nvm, but it's NSFW

I do support squadmateship / master-student? with Grunt (and it's better this way) but sometimes I just cannot stop having the "cyber-lust thinge" with him and Wrex. I mean, why protagonist krogans are so hawt

Thanks!

Oh yes, biotic Krogan charge would be epic ! Forget the Cain.

Does the codex says how a Krogan becomes a biotic  ? is it something that manifests with age ?
