Whenever I am done creating my character, I receive this error message.

Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x4b840040 at address 0xffff08a0.

I have attempted to reinstall DA:O 3 times, with and without the download content, and have tried playing on different difficulties to see if that was the problem. None of that worked, and when even repairing my permissions has not worked. I found another post that said to delete profile.dap, but that did not seem to work either.

I am running DA:O on a 2 year old Macbook, and I have quadruple checked every requirement, but cannot locate the video card. I am unsure as to whether this could be a problem due to not having the correct video card or not, but if anyone else has found a solution to this problem, I would appreciate some help.

It appears that your game is having trouble reading from memory.

How much room is on your hard drive?

How much RAM does your MacBook have?

Also go to the Utilities folder in the Applications folder and open Disk Utility. Repair Permissions, then Verify your Hard Drive and see if you get any errors.

The find the video card:

Apple Menu>About this Mac>More Info...>Hardware>Graphics/Displays.

Intel GMA X3100:

Chipset Model: GMA X3100

Type: GPU

I have 30 gigs left of the hard drive, 2 gigs of ram, and I have already repaired permissions, and repaired my drive.

Sorry but I think you are out of luck getting dragon age to run. According to the system requirements for dragon age on gametree's website they state: ATI X1600 or NVIDIA 7300 or higher. This game will NOT run on the Intel GMA (950 or X3100) class of integrated video cards.
