Quite a few posters around here have made some extremely helpful video guides for the various classes, teaching you how to play the class or showing interesting tactics for playing the class. Some of those you can find in this list of guides.

But I started thinking about the other videos out there. The ones that are less about being guides and more about comparing very specific concepts of the game or demonstrating something quirky about it. This is why this list exists. It's rather subjective; I've left out some very good videos in favor of ones that I find more entertaining.

Many people on this list have created far more videos than I've listed. Be sure to check out their youtube channels for more! And I'm always open to seeing other videos, so feel free to post more links!

Biotics
- All Biotics, No Weapon by Average Gatsby
     - A run through the suicide mission showing Shepard using nothing but biotics and the support of his squadmates. Shepard fires no shots.
- Seriously, Reave is Overpowered by rumination888
     - Another suicide run showing what happens when you rely a little bit on your friends and a lot on Reave.
- ME1 Adept Video by SlicGW
     - A powerplay video of a one man army taking on the enemy with biotics and a shotgun.

Sentinel
- CQC Sentinel by mosor
     - mosor shows just how close quarters you can be with Assault Armor, a shotgun, and a lot of melee during Thane's recruitment mission
- I like this human! She understands! by mitSienna
     - Be like a krogan. Headbutt like a krogan.

Vanguard
- The Klutzy Vanguard by SuperMedbh
     - SuperMedbh bumbles through with a Vanguard with less grace than you're used to seeing in a video. But a klutzy run wouldn't normally guarantee a spot on my video list. Using Gogol Bordello as your soundtrack does.
- Die like a Vanguard by Nexolek
     - You can't kill the Vanguard. The Vanguard will live on. No wait. Ever felt intimidated by all those Insanity videos showing just how elite all these other players were at playing the game? Well, Nexolek is here to show you they die, too.

Glitches (or How It's Not Supposed to Work)
- The Cain and the Derelict Reaper Core by magimix2000
     - Use the Cain after the husks start their attack on you during the Derelict Reaper Core segment and watch as they continue their attack on Shepard leading into the cinematic.
- The Wall Climbing Glitch by rigaudio
     - Ugly Shepard takes us on a tour of the wall climbing glitch, showing us how we can bypass the first geth fight on Haestrom altogether.
- Vanguard versus the Colossus by Nuffarian
     - The classic Vanguard Charge versus the Colossus on Haestrom
- Holy Sh!t, it's Shepard! by ShadowMar128
     - One of the first ME2 videos I ever saw. This Blue Suns merc is absolutely terrified at seeing Commander Shepard.

Squadmates... what a kick in the quad sometimes
- Who needs squadmates anyway? by cruc1al
     - Running through ME2 with only your own skill to keep you alive.
- Grunt Withstands the Power of the CAIN by magimix2000
     - While trying to capture the husk glitch with the Derelict Reaper Core, magimi2000 discovers just how much abuse Grunt can take.
- HE. IS. KROGAN! by kronner1
     - Nevermind Shepard, watch as Krogan charges a Scion and wins.

I can't even begin to tell you how often I sit at youtube and watch gameplay vids, I think it's starting to rival how much time I put into the game. Although I've seen most of these, always nice to have them in one spot, thanks :)

Tlazoatl (sp? I haven't seen him around in a while) has a Versatile Infiltration playlist on youtube that I believe is worth a mention

Ah, the wonders of having a difficult name to spell. Image IPB

I looked over the videos after I finished them, and decided that though my tactics were quite good, leaving all the dialogue and cutscenes in was probably a mistake in hindsight.
And also, for some reason, about half a second gets cut out between videos (no, it's not youtube's fault, I'm watching the master copies).

So though I had intended to make a thread about them after I was finished, being a little iffy about the technical issues made me less inclined to do so.

Been trying to record a zero death run of Batman: Arkham Asylum, only ... I haven't yet been able to do a run without dying ... Image IPB ... 13 attempts and counting.

I had gotten the impression the videos were like other video guides showing an overall strategy of how to play an Infiltrator. In which case, if Tlazolfhqwhgads gets the videos to how he likes it, I can add that to the strategy guide.

For this video list, I'm looking for videos that are more specific in their focus. Like a video showing damage with and without tactical cloak. Or something off-the-wall.

I have a bunch, if you want. Like how the Katana doesn't suck vs. armor. Or how to kick your own ass. My sig has more. Go nuts :)

You know those Purgatory videos are going to make the list simply for Gogol Bordello.

ETA: So far have added the katana video and the second Die Like a Vanguard video.

Hah! Nice. Actually the annotations for the second Purgatory one are sort of guideish. Might be helpful for someone starting NG+. Or something...

It's been some hundreds of hours of video processing. I'm done with those videos.
I did have a few overarching goals when making the videos though.

1) Shuriken machine pistol.
I happen to think it's better than both the Tempest and the Locust, given equal upgrades. At least with cryo ammo. The higher damage per shot translates into (or maybe it just coincidentally has) a better freeze chance, spending less time out of cover, and has competitive DPS up close (assuming you can click the button fast enough).
Sure, I also use the pistol and sniper rifle when it's appropriate, such as vs. krogans or what not, but my main weapon was the Shuriken.

2) Keeping squadmates alive and using combos.
As much as possible, to make use of squadmates by setting up retreat points and timing of powers. I mean the AI is silly enough that it's probably easier to let the squadmates fall, then murder your foes by cloaking and shooting one at a time as they stand still.
Just as a couple of examples of squadmate use, I tried to kill as many targets as I reasonably could using Jack's pull on Korlus (Grunt recruitment), or just showing how effective maxed out "sub-optimal" powers can be as using Incinerate, Garrus' Overload, and Zaeed's Inferno Grenade on Horizon.
Actually, it just randomly turned out that way 'cos at the time I just figured it would be cool to have 3 people with a mantis.
In both cases, I think the squadmates only fell over once .. Mordin in the final battle on Korlus, and Zaeed vs. Harby.

3) It's about the class, not heavy weapons.
Which is why, though I do make regular use of consumables when playing normally, I did not use medigel or heavy weapon ammo at all (ok, maybe I used a single grenade on the tutorial level, I forget).

4) People learn less from highlight videos.
Sure, doing a fight 30 times, then putting a video up on youtube that one time where you successfully pwn 6 guys at once with charge and a shotgun is awesome, but not representative of normal play.
To that end, I use tactics that are relatively low risk and repeatable, and record entire missions from start to finish.
I think I made one exception with Kasumi: Stealing Memory. Was unfamiliar with the mission, so to cut down recording time, I saved just before going into the vault.

So, the fights turned out more or less the way I was happy with.
It's just the video processing part that tripped me up.
Most likely because I'm using software that is several years old, 'cos I really can't justify buying new video processing software for a hobby.

Went with a squadmate category which so far just contains Grunt's awesomeness.

Indeed they are, which brings this up:

Oh so very true. I made my videos strictly for fun. Just because. I should have included a disclaimer or something.

"This video has been created solely for the purpose of entertainment. Any attempt to replicate the actions seen will very likely result in grievous bodily harm and/or death. Learning prohibited. Do not attempt."

In normal gameplay I keep things going at a very fast pace, but not quite what I show in the vids. As I have also shown, going balls-to-the-wall equates to death. Lots of it. At least I learned to embrace it :)

It is funny that the "Data Hound" achievement guide got most hits on youtube and that you out of all my vanguard videos picked the Hammerhead combat one. The hammerhead videos are the ones I recorded through my regular playthrough while the vanguard ones I actually worked on to get just perfect (using a few reloads to get, say Hoizon part 2 video to include all I wanted, avoiding cover as much as I could and charging as much as I could) are on the bottom.

Well, you know, the list is subjective. I'd probably add a video showing me shoot down every single camera in Overlord if I could make videos. There's no achievement involved with it, but it'd make me laugh. I find the Hammerhead video interesting simply because it's a much maligned combat (*ahem*) vehicle.

Yes, I understand.

As for video making, it is very simple with fraps (1 button to enable recording and 1 button to stop it) for a pc user. For one using the x-box, I imagine it wouldn't be that simple.

I understand that the Hammerhead in the x-box version is harder to handle because of no mouse. In the pc version  I found it easy and fun as you could dodge almost every single projectile that you can see comming towards you long before it hits, charge the toughest enemies straight on (suits my vanguard style) and maneuver around the geth faster then they turn. I never really understood the fuss on the forums, hence the video.  (I have no experience with the x-box gameplay, mind you.)

Nick posted this video of someone basically kicking ass with biotics and shotguns. I transferred some of the videos from this list over to my list of strategy guides.

ETA: Oh yeah, and unless I bother recording my game from an XBox, someone else is going to have to do that Cameras of Overlord guide. ;)
