I just got Mass Effect 1 for PC off EA and I downloaded the game fine and everything.  When I launch it and the main menu comes up, and I hit play, an error message comes up with the Configuration Utility menu and it closes the program.  I ran a systems check and it said my computer can run the game.  I would give the specs of my computer but I don't have them on hand/know them.  Can anyone help me or know whats wrong?

have you dl the patch? I had same problem until I installed patch
