If not, Sten or Shale. Whichever would seem to make the most sense.

No chance of him turning into a completely different person. He'll always be a little drunken bundle of psychotic rage. Plus he's one of the few companions who goes along with whatever you say.

Do you think the Dalish would be okay with Leliana there? She is a human and you are involved with her which is a big no-no for them. It might not be such a pleasant visit...
Well its not like any of them are going to try to attack the guy who:
A) Got them a freaking homeland
C) Is armed with two legendary swords, and has the greatest armour in Ferelden
D) Is a personal friend to both reigning monarchs, and has favours owed by Arl Eamon, Bann Tegan, and the majority of the Landsmeet.
E) Has an Antivian Crow, and a Mabari on hands at all times
F) Killed Three Dragons, or 2.5 considering the Archdemon.
G) Is a Grey Warden
While they may be grouchy about it, Maheron (my Dalish) is trying to show them that humans and elves can get along. If they dont like it they can, just not look.

Besides the Dalish are going to settle so that means a movement towards agricultural civ. over a hunter gatherer civ. Meaning trade will come at the borders, meaning the dalish will have to grow up and accept that hey there are actually people with round ears called HUMANS we have to deal with.

You want to teach them tolerance by attacking them for being rude?Giggles_Manically wrote...
If they did that then I would politely introduce their butts and faces to my Cadash Stompers. And more than likely then manberries to Grond's teeth for doing that. Maheron is a nice guy but dont insult :Leliana, Dog, or elves around him.

Sorry that was worded a little iffy. My PC's hope would be that if people could see a human and elf living equally togther then they could use it as an example. Mahreon thinks that isolation is stupid and the Dalish have to accept reality. He would not however hesitate to clobber the first person who insulted Leliana. If they insulted him and would laugh in their face and walk away. He does have a button or two you dont want to press.

Then you're going to be attacking most of the clan given how passive-agressive they can be and their clear shem-hate.
Not exactly if i get looks, I will give them the warden death glare, if it comes to words I will use my charm to force trick them. If it comes to demands that I leave her, or leave the area then it may get bad. This is not what I would do, but Maheron is my more complex RPed charachter I did. If it honestly got really bad he would move rather than actually kill people, and it would sadden him if it came to that. Killing that girl in the forest who couldnt let go of her hate.made him sick for a couple of days.

If he's busy with other Warden or kingly duties, then I'd have to pick Zevran because he'd be an awesome sidekick or Shale because she makes me giggle.

Why did you kill her? She was really easy to talk down. Just remind her of Zathrian. And if you're planning on living there...yeah, I cannot see that going very well for Leliana as no one is really going to want her there except for you. Maybe I'm just being cynical, though, but after all the anti-Shem sentiment in the DE origin I think they would tolerate her but that's it.Giggles_Manically wrote...

Wrex.
Don't you know that Wrex is too awesome to be in ANY GAME? Due to his sheer awesomeness they had to reduce him to a bit part in the sequel. It's anyone's guess how they managed to even contain him in the first game.
I've heard that if you spend too much time with Wrex on the screen the game disc will actually catch on FIRE!

I'd say Alistair because I like how essential he was to the DAO story and I related to him the most because he was a fellow Grey Warden. I like Zevran and Leliana, but my canon character is quite serious about the threat of the Blight and neither of those two have any desire to be a Grey Warden. (Nathaniel knocked my socks off when he sincerely asked to join.)
It's the same thing as wanting Garrus on your team because he's been there with you from the start and just gets it. He gets the mission, he gets the whole spectre thing, and he's got your back. Alistair meets that criteria for my DAO game and that's the reason why I'd pick him first. Morrigan would be my second choice for her role in the Blight and the dark ritual.
All of this.

If you did the dark ritual there are a lot of unanswered questions regarding her plans and these have great story potential.

I didnt intentionally kill her, I just picked the wrong option saying that they had peacefully left. Besides being the hero of ferelden has its perks so I think being the most famous of elves will outweigh prejudice aimed at you. People who would get angry would be shoted down by all the others over joyed at getting a new home. There may be some eyebrows raised but I feel that most people would be too happy in their new home to notice overmuch.
