I'll be sitting there getting extremely interested in the serious conversation I'm having with another party member and then all of the sudden all I can hear is *WOOF WOOF WOOF* like every ten seconds. Someone shut this hound up! *Cries*

Arg, next time I go through as a character that's a jerk, I'm soooo killing that stupid Warhound or at least attempting to not recruit it.

I rarely take the dog with me, as it adds nothing to any conversations. It is however a nice camp addition and once in a while I find a bone for it and toss it to the dog. Also if you check its loyalty it is ALWAYS 100% loving you so there is really no need to take it anywhere and it will still like you....

But...it...won't...shut...up.
Is there a wilderbeast by my camp I'm not aware of? I'll kill it if it'll shut my dog up!

Also, In my 2nd play through, i'll be taking him with me to at least talk to him once in each area. I hear he brings you all sorts of goodies if you talk to him and ask him if he sees anything

Actually I feel sorry for the dog, named him Claw, when I have to leave him behind in camp, and he does make me feel guilty..so I have to at least go over and pet him. But build his strengths up and tactics he is a good addition to your party and VERY loyal. He brings me presents sometimes which is kind of fun. Next time you see him digging..go and talk to him, sometimes you get a free gift to give to one of your party members to up their approval rating. I quite like the dog..and usually he barks ...if you are out exploring because there is something you should be paying attention to..like danger.

If he's barking in camp go talk to him. Every time I've done this another character comes over and interacts with him and me. When that's done he usually quiets down.

Bioware really screws him over in the end though. After killing the Archdemon I wanted nothing more than to pet my dog, but alas he is not present at the end ceremony. First Wookies...now dogs.

I rarely ever hear him barking in camp. Unless I'm standing next to him.
He's never made a sound during any of my in camp conversations.
I think your game's buggy.
And he has a ton of conversations when wandering about... with EVERYONE.
And during actual conversations you initiate, he will growl at anyone who's evil or lying to you.

I think it's because I'm not taking him on enough walks... just being vocal about his disapproval. =/
