I just hope DA2 won't be voiced...I hate having limited dialogue options. V__V

Dude, can you see that little pic in my sig? That an stylized Brazilian flag! Woohoo.. going for the sixth title. HEXA! And still, I was moved by the effort and commitment of Team USA. And we were given a free trailer, not a smart phone cam video like the ones captured in E3 that YouTube has for some days like you mentioned. What's to complain about it?
The trailer is an advertisement....a marketing tool designed to generate sales.....it's not something I view as "given" to us because in the end the costs needed to produce it....however small or large....were considered and included when the selling price of the DLC was set....it's part of what we purchase when we buy the DLC. It is a tool to inform and persuade the customers and the fact it was kept from the public for over a week makes little sense and seems suspicious.
Well I'll give you this, it does seem odd that the announcement and trailer didn't come at the same time. Instead we had some guy sneaking a vid inside the booth and putting it on You-tube. Sneaking a vid inside an "invitation only" booth.
That dlc was "not" general knowledge at E3, I know..I was there every day, and if it was shown, it was shown "behind closed doors" to a select few "special people" ..investors maybe? Who knows why gaming companies do certain things.
At any rate, this isn't some sort of massive betrayal, it seems to be more like..someone messed up and forgot to put the corresponding trailer up for the announcement of the new dlc.
Not something that I will lose sleep over for certain.
And may I state "better late than never"? *grins*

Really, the only thing about the Trailer I didn't like is the fact that Leli is shown as a Dagger wielding Rogue, where-as in my game's she always kept at Range knocking fools down one Arrow at a time in manner that would shame Legolas. I'll just chalk it up to her being young and not yet having mastered the Bow.
One last thing worth mentioning is that Leliana's dialogue will be fully voiced with selections being more Akin to Mass Effect, i.e. a general "He/She is lying" followed by complete dialogue when the option is selected. As we know, the only reason Dragon Age wasn't fully voiced was because all of BioWare's VO departments where tied up with Mass Effect and The Old Republic; but now that both titles are out or soon to be released with ME3 still in preproduction hopefully they'll be able to have our Warden be fully Voiced in the future as opposed to just little quick comments like, "Let me get you a ladder so you can get off my back," It's a long shot, I know, but I'm still hoping for it none the less. Overall, I can not wait to pick this DLC up.

NOW we get the trailer? There have been poor youtube videos of it for over a week since you first announced this DLC so the trailer was 100% done a loooooooooooong time ago. Why exactly was it kept from the fans all this time? The most appropriate words that come to mind are: what the hell?
There are some crazy people that will complain if they win in a lottery! "That's it? Only 20 million? What the hell?" or when the US wins an awesome match with a goal in the injury time, like yesterday's match... "That's it? Only one goal? What the hell?"
So essentially everyone outside the US and people in the US that prefer another team are just "crazy people" who complain over anything? People like you give Americans a bad rep for being narrow minded and inconsiderate. Plus this content and is in no way relevant to your lotery example as I'm not given anything......I, like all the others who get this content.....will pay for it.

The Trailer paints a fairly exciting picture of what's in Store for those who pick up this DLC. What I love the most about this, aside from the Star Protaganist being Leliana, is that this is the First DLC to drop since Awakening that's really gotten me somewhat Giddy. The Feast Day joke DLC was a waste and I'll never touch it, and the Darkspawn Chronicles is just immersion and story breaking for me, again it's DLC I will never touch. However, "Leliana Song" just seems amazing. The Voice work is strong in what little we heard; we get a real sense of just how well Marjolaine played "The Game" and that even though you almost instantly Hate her in Origins she did indeed have a level of seduction down. Also, Kempa's VA is far more solid than it was in Origins, you can hear how comfortable she's become filling Leliana's boots. Oh, and cudos to the new Cinematic style in the game's graphics. Even though this Trailer obviously came off the PC version the upgrade to the game's visual is none the less noticable. I hope it translates just as well to the Console.

There are certain aspects that kind of bother me, for instance..seeing the map pan over top of Orlais and onto the land of Fereldan. Big obvious clue here that ...hoping to visit Orlais isn't going to happen, well not in a tiny dlc at any rate.
STILL want to visit some of these other places on the map. Bioware are you listening? (heh) Orlais, Par Vollen, Kal Sharok, Arlathan, Weisshaupt, The Free Marches, Antiva, ...etc etc.
In regards to playing AS Leil instead of as her companion or what have you. IF this would have taken place in Orlais, and IF we were going to see her story from the inside out...how she was captured and betrayed, how she operated as a bard, her flight to Fereldan and the Chantry...then Bioware would have been on the right track with continuity, the lore ..and whatever else.
But again we get yet another standalone dlc that does NOT impact the story or continue it for those of us fans who are still waiting patiently for this to happen.
Why do I get a sense that these dlcs are the last of it, and once they're done, thats it for our Wardens? Tell me it ain't so..
I realize that perhaps my statements make me come off as some sort of "ingrate"...nevertheless, I'm here for the story...ALL OF IT.

I am curious, Who wrote the story?
There are several writers involved with Dragon Age, David Gaider, Sheryl Chee..don't remember the other names.
Mr Gaider wrote the books affiliated with the game's story..(which I still haven't bought btw lol ..I will eventually)

I don't know. I was under the impression that ME has only two main characters to be voiced. A Male Shepard and a Female Shepard, no matter how much we customize them.
Dragon Age has at least 12 different main characters with different stories and dialogues. Human Noble male & Female, Human Mage male & Female, Dwarf Noble Male & Female, Dwarf Common Male & Female, Dalish Elf Male & Female, City Elf Male & Female.
I'd add Elf Male & Female but that could still use the same Voice Set as Humans. Point is. How big would it be to voice all those main characters? Would they get it right too? Would their Elf Male Archer sound anything like the Sindarin speaking Elf Archer that I've rp'ed for many years? Which I happened to recreate into the Dragon Age universe, taking a leap of faith from my beloved Middle Earth? hehehe
There was no way for Bioware to deliver a fully voiced DA main character set for all of them, unless we waited longer for the game and paid a lot more.
But I agree with you on one thing. I've already bought my points and I can't wait to have Leliana all over my screen and videos again!

Where do I sign? This would be the greatest thing that they could do for Dragon Age. Bioware got us hooked into Thedas? Let us explore it!!! =)

The reason I ask is because I'm pretty sure Sheryl Chee wrote Leliana, but I didn't see her name or Davids name in the Darkspawn Chronicles DLC. I'm wondering if it will be jusy Sheryl, Sherryl and Dave, or neither writing this new DLC.

I think he was talking about who wrote the story for the DLC. And to that I would assume Lukas, since he is a writer and was the one who did the interview. I doubt they had more then one writer fully dedicated to this.

Really...
Didn't you realize that we have ALREADY finished to play as our Warden ?? And it's been so long since this thing happened
And I am not surprised at all... I knew it from the moment I din't find a Final Save at the end of Awakening and Melo told us there was no need of a Final Save 'cause future DLCs won't need it..

That said, I'm hoping this will me somewhat... fuller, than the non-Awakening packs we've seen so far, as the premise seems quite ambitious - I'd hate it to be crippled by feeling rushed (story-wise, not programming wise).
Actually, I'm quite happy with these stand-alone DLCs at the moment, I've just had three playthroughs of the main game, and I don't quite identify with any of the characters as "my" Warden. Until I manage to get such a run completed, I doubt I'd be that ecstatic over something involving him(/her). But after that, I guess I'd be chomping for more... We'll see
