Is Duncan gay?

First off, Duncan wears simple earing in his right ear.
Also, way he talks is very calm and rational, he does not show any stronger
emotions in his voice, like anger, even in the moments you would expect to.
Also, he is surprisingly polite, even after being insulted by city elf scum.
He never ever mentioned woman in his speeches. In any way.
He has not gave a single compliment to the female, not even simplest one,
but he could almost sing about mans fight skills.
And since Dragon Age contains homosexuality, do you think Duncan can be part of it?

He is simply a good, well mannered man/soldier...with a heavy burden and Mission. The time for idle pleasantries is long past. Now it is time to fight, fight a battle that is becoming more dire with every passing hour.
He is the consummate warrior.
Ability, honor, grace and respect all shield him as well as any armor or shield.
One can have all these traits (and more) and not be a homosexual

No. Your argument becomes invalid right after that sentence.

Oh yeah he does wear it.
In various Western cultures, piercing the left vs. the right ear alone has sometimes been popularly perceived to be associated with a particular sexual orientation. In the late 60s it was said that "left is right, and right is wrong,"[2] alluding to social prejudices surrounding sexual orientation. The left ear was reserved for piercing by straight men and a pierced right ear meant that one was gay

He sings many praises of the PC regardless of their sex.

I know for a fact he's not gay as I'm a straight man and I act a lot like him. I'm quiet, focused, serious, and maybe a little too concerned with my duties.
Anybody got a problem with that? >
Didn't think so ... >.>

Of course this begs to ask where are all the brown/black folk...but don't let me get sidetracked...
It hurts me to say this (type this) out loud and I know this may be upsetting to some but Alistair isn't real either.
So there you have it: No gay toons, no straight toons, no Bi toons...No,sorry-wishing/fearing they are/aren't doesn't count...
So the next time you think/fear Duncan is giving you those "gooey eyes"-That really is the real reason for your post right?
Just close you eyes and tap your heels together three times. And think to yourself, there's no place like home....
Works for me...

I see your ability to be prejudice is finely tuned. I shall take my leave.

Just to make this is clear to everyone: Duncan isn't real...He (it?) happens to be a cartoon (1's and 0s really) that appears in a world that also isn't real. The sun, those darkspawn, all the (white) people-Not real.

And now I feel a bit silly for my last post cause I have to agree with this one, somewhat.

He *does* express some irritation in his voice depending on the dialogue choices you make. Mage Origin for instance, speaking to him in the library.
Not to mention that a dude being calm and collected in the modern era doesn't equal homosexuality.

Plus there is the fact that we know from Dragon Age canon of only one sexual encounter involving Duncan and that was with a female.
I do not think there is anything more that needs to be said on the matter.
