I want some better "greyed out" quests. I mean they really let me down with the Redcliffe quest, Sacred Ashes, and Dalish Camp quest. They put the whole golden hero without flaws in those three. I would rather they made all decisions ultimately be like Orzhammar king quest, now that was the most "greyed out" quest I have seen in the game. I would also like it if they put some better picks/movies in the epilogue.

Much less Hack'N'Slash, combat have become a chore they are also generic and repetitive also you need a much more decent overview of the map, let us zoom out much more and be able to move the camera wherever we want it.

.....also.....BG INVENTORY!!! I WANT MY CONSTRAINED WEIGHT AND CELL CONSTRAINED INVENTORY BACK!

I think the Qunari should be a playable race.

If you decide to be a human you shouldn't have to be a noble.

Finally the more consequences for your actions idea is a good one. In one of the origin stories i ran up in a castle killed everyone in it and slaughtered the son of a noble and got away with it. Then when i got to ostagar I killed a prisoner and got away with it. After That I killed another nobles son all that happened was i got yelled at by an indirect family member. I'm just sayin all of that happened and the wost i got was a tongue lashing that ended with him saying he shouldn't second guess my decisions. If only it worked like that in real life.

I definitely agree with the consequences thing. Major choices should alter the world around you, and affect how other quests play out, without any cop outs.

I would also like to see the ethical choices become more complicated, so that I have a real reason to do the otherwise obviously evil thing, aside from simply wanting to see what the other option is. I'm not saying more of the harrowmont vs bhelen stuff, because that's just a lateral move between two crappy options. More like the anvil of the void, where there is a clear choice between the "right" thing to do and the "pragmatic" thing to do. Keep options for being a jerk or for having realistic motivations like revenge and greed, but don't make those the main options.

There need to be more mages and archers. DAO has 6 melee companions and only 3 ranged. Having more starting options when a character joins the party would help with this as well.

A 5th slot for pets, since they are cool, but shouldn't take up a the space of a more interesting and talkative party member.

A faster two handed weapon, such as a spear, halberd or naginata.

More specialization points, which can unlike a second tier of talents. So you could be a jack of all trades or hyper-specialized.

More item sets, and to be able to actually see what they do.

Commissioning custom equipment, with features of my choice. Kind of like the dragon scale armor, but with more options.

Make the chantry more interesting. They're just a little too generic for my tastes. The back story is ok, but it's really limited to codex entries, and what they actually believe and stand for is almost absent. I can apparently play as a character that hates them, but not for any in game reason. It just feels like a place holder that says "insert organized religion here" and that's a waste of a lot of potential for depth, story and character development.

And last but not least, I'd like to actually meet my characters from other origin stories I have played through. In DAO you see it from the perspective of what happens if duncan hadn't been there. In DA 2 I'd like to see the references to the other origins change if I've already played through them, including having a cameo from the previous character. It's a "what if I hadn't become a grey warden" instead of a "what if I died horribly and accomplished nothing"

1) Please, please fix the cluttered inventory thing. It is really very difficult to find anything now. I would like to see weapons and armor being split into say a tab for bows and a tab for swords and the same for armor (if it can be done tech wise).

2)
Please try to make less Origin classes this time. 3 (maybe 4) would ne enough, I would say. The reason behind this request is this: I'm not sure I want to play for 8-10 hours (again!) just to get the game going after completing Ostagar - just to see how the Human Noble Origin plays out.

3) Please make the Origins shorter. Players shouldn't have to wait 8-10 hours to begin the real game e.g. Lothering or Redcliffe (after Ostagar). At most maybe 1½-2 or maybe 2½ hours.

4) Please cut out the banter between the party members or reduce it - a lot. I know some people migt like it - but hearing the same linies being spoken the 5th time (or the 10th time) isn't really that great, I find. Please keep the talking our comrades (npcs in the party) at camp. This is a wonderful idea, novel, unique and very creative - and makes sense in the gameworld, especially since it is after a hard day's work at the campfire one would relax and talk to the people in our party.

5) Please fix the leveling system. We're leveling way to fast - for comparasion's sake I'll add that in in BG1, I was only level 2 or 3, I think when I've played the same amount of hours that I played of this game e.g. about 8-10 hours.

6)
The story in this game seems to be abselutely amazing; the lore is very deep as well as intruguing and interesting. The characters, especially Sten and Morrigan are indeed well-made and very well written.

7 and 8)

Please find a way to make the main character e.g. our character speak i.e. to have full voice-acting in the game for all the main characters including the player character. I know, of course, that in order for this to happen, something else need to go. Maybe it will be the game's length that is cut in half e.g. not 120 hours total, but 60 at the most. Maybe it will be some quests that can't be done, because of this. I'm asking this because after playing the Mass effect 2 demo I find it very un-modern (if that's a word? to NOT have the main character (the pc) talk e.g. voice-acted at all.

Sorry, but I disagree with almost all of your points. The various Origins add to replay value by giving us a significantly different experience/points of view for various areas, the dwarf noble is a good example of this. All of the areas can be replayed, with completely different viewpoints/insights into people's lives. After the Dalish/dwarven/magi origin, you understand those people better - although it could just be me. making those origins shorter would just compromise that - so why should we want that? Also, the origins were some of the best quests in the game - think City Elf or Human Noble

As for shortening a "lead-off" quest such as Ostagar, I don't really care all that much, as it did get boring after a few playthroughs. However, the plot needs to be introduced, and if DA2 is a "save the world" game like DAO, then there needs to be a good explanation as to why I am going to save the world.

For the banter, I would like for it to be either expanded, or switched so that we only hear each banter once per run, as it does get annoying if you use the same party. If there was significantly more bantering, then this would not be quite as big of an issue.

As to leveling, as long as the level amounts are kept under control, I want new spells/abilities to play with. I like to have options, whether they be single-target/multi-target damage spell/CC/heal - as well as various buffs, debuffs and misc. spells.

Personally, I like Dragon Age's conversation system much better than Mass Effect's, although PC voice vs. silent is debatable. Just realize that multiple VA's do cost a lot of money. Finally, I don't understand why you are asking for half the content.

1.) Keep no VA for the main character. I would rather not have my dialogue options stifled for the sake of hearing someone read me what I already see on the screen.

2.) "Random encounters" - These are fine, however recycling the same sandbox terrain over, and over kind of breaks the immersion.

3.) More companion vs. companion interaction. Companions in my party should be able to interact with one another on some level without my interference. Companions should be able to become LI, friends, and enemies with one another based on certain events that happen throughout the game.

4.) More consequences. That merchant I stole from shouldn't just vanish after I complete the sidequest. There should be NPCs you see and interact with later based on your decisions.

The one thing that I would like to see changed in DA:2 is the weapon sets, if I wanted to keep a weapon in my main hand and change my off hand between a shield or weapon I shouldn't sacrifice my main hand weapon for somthing else or vice versa.

This is exactly how swapping out weapon sets worked in NWN.  I have no idea why BioWare chose to abandon such a useful and flexibile system as that.

I'd like to see a more customisable inventory system.  Abandoning the list format would be ideal.

I'd also like a free-roaming camera, more variety in gameplay (the same tactics shouldn't always work, and some puzzles would be nice), and less voice-over.  Full voice-over adds almost nothing to the game; it's a waste of design resources.

And, finally, I want a pause button in the UI (like BG had).  If the entire rest of the game is mouse-driven, why not the pause control?

Def. the biggest thing for me is a bigger party (at least 6, I would think). 4 is too few, and it makes things kind of boring when I basically have to choose the same characters each time based on their needed abilities.

I thought the small party was going to be a problem, but the ability to travel through an area without a Rogue and return later to open all the chests made it work fine.

I would like to see a greater variety of companions, though. During DA's development, I asked for the ability to make a full party of all one race or class (not race and class, race or class). So, there would need to be enough companions to allow for an all-dwarf party, or an all-mage party, but not necessarily an all-elf-rogue party.

Alas, the only homogenous parties available in DA were the all-human and all-warrior parties, and those just aren't that interesting.

Yeah, I could do that, but I don't want to have to rememeber where every single unopened chest was, and then go back later just to open them, and possibly find that there was nothing that good in them anyway.

Since the game is designed to basically require you have a rogue and a mage in your party at all times, they need to provide more options for the rest of the characters, or else get rid of the warrior class altogther since really there's nothing special or useful about it at all.

I would even be willing to accept lower-quality graphics and a shorter game if it meant more party characters and better gameplay.

1. The NPC's are characters were great but as party members not so much. I find, for example, it hard to keep Leliana on the bench because Zev is so bad at picking locks and takes a ton of effort to bring up to speed - I mean just tossing one rank in there isn't enough since his cunning starts out so bad. Al is the only shield guy and despite a raft of good shields there's never anyone to really use them. We either need more NPC's or a way to respec them to fit what we want to do.

2. Better foe AI. Nothing has changed since BG really. The old draw and kill method would still work. You can be in a huge open room and still chew up the darkspawn bit by bit. It might change the scale of the encounters but right now it feels like these things are designed to be fought piecemeal.

3. You can't buy Excalibur. Seriously, too many of the best magical items in the game (daggers, armors, staves, rings, belts) can be bought not earned. "Mundane" things should be for sale not the good stuff. It'd be worth more to me to dungeon dive the Wonders of Thedas than the Deep Roads.

4. Skills not skill trees. I don't use "flaming/frost/telekinetic weapons" spells but I have to pick them to move up every skill tree. Maybe I'm right and maybe I'm wrong but that is the way I play. I don't use many sustained skills either. I hate wasting my precious skill points on skills I know I won't use and I'm only added to get to the next one. Leave level or better yet attribute minimums in there but otherwise given me a menu and let me pick.

5. More tactics slots. I like to run my guy and let the AI handle my allies and it works.....to a point. I can't let the AI run mages because they don't have enough slots to be smart. The limited # of slots also don't allow for a lot of tactical variety with the fighters either. I don't see why this is a skill or even level based, the tactics are there to simulate a player's decision and I can make more than 4 decisions for a character so should the tactics. I don't know what the max is but let me have it.

If rogue is the only class that can pick locks (which I don't really mind) make both rogue NPCs good at it! By the time I get Zev Leliana is pretty good at lockpicking but he doesn't have a single point in it. So if I choose to have him around this time because I played the previous game with Leliana I shouldn't be forced to comb through the dungeons later with Lel, just so she can pick locks when I already had a rogue with me the first time.

I also agree about the items. I can't remember a really cool item I got from a boss. Some good items were part of quests which I liked, but when I defeated a dragonling for the first time I thought I was gonna get some good items and was disappointed when they were pretty mediocre.

I'd like DA2 to be as moddable as DAO is.

Some of the problems people mention with DAO were easily fixed with mods (like No-Follower Auto-Level).

But DA2 definitely needs better documentation. DAO's documentation was terrible. There was no way to know how the combat worked without digging through the scripts yourself - that's awful.

More Sidequests
PC voice
When you receive a new object, make the name appear on screen instead of the general message.
Armor tints
More difficulty choices.
Fix somehow the spell auras that stick to the characters. It is a bit ugly when two of them overlap.
Voices in Spanish!

Anyway, if I see the same impovement they made in MassEffect 2 in the next Dragon Age ,I will be happy, specially with the graphics.

Cheers

I would like to see the choices we made in Origins and Awakening drastically affect how the story turns out in 2. Like who we romanced, what we decided to do, who we decided to kill and spare, etc, etc. More armor and weapons and some more specialization's. Also I would like to visit other lands and be able to travel all over Thedas.

Oh and a thing like Mass Effect were you chose the topic of what your character's saying and you hear him say it aloud.

Customization on all levels, tall/short, fat/slim, muscle/scrawny, better skin tints and hairstyles, ability to customize weapons and armor instead of looking like a patch quilt. Things like that

I agree if there are going to be romances there has to be more to them then wham bam thank you maam and nothing else to them .

I don't know why everyone insists on only two ring slots, but it's old and out dated. I'm not saying make 10, but 2 is just stupid. You should be able to easily swap out rings, make active and non active slots and the ability to toggle them.

weapon and armor crafting, and the ability to choose the look of them.

Daggers that look like daggers and not short swords

an integrated toolset that works like in NWN, none of this seperate download bs.that doesn't work for a good portion of people

A story with multiple paths, not one that no matter what you do you end up in the same spot.

I'd really like and Origins style way to start the game based on your epilogue.

Like if your King you start at Court and do stuff

Or your looking for Morrigan, traveling with Leliana, etc...
