I'm all for a female dwarf LI. I thought they were the most attractive females in Dragon Age.Slidell505 wrote...

i'd really like to see and hear 'the warden' when he/she has their dialogue clicked actually speak, i mean when setting up yr character you are given voice options?
Because of the ingame speech....
If you want your character to speak, i think they should make the dialog system more like Mass Effect. Maybe you could have the option, react angry, and your character wil respond like that. But i wouldn't like to hear my character repeat the entire scentences i have just read....

Also, I would take off the "relationship meter" . You should be able to know how your relationship to a certain character is by the dialogue and not by a number, it would make it much more interesting and engaging IMO.
A bit more gear costumization and more gear choice ( therefor more varied loot ).
VOICE to our character!

DAO is not a dating sim. These characters are fictional.
True but it was the best part and made it very interesting

I wouldn't really change anything, maybe have different meshes for armor, I don't think there's enough variance. And to hopefully keep good quality writing- no rushing.

- More variety in types of materials. Like Obsidian(which Duncan's dagger should of been).
- More variety in weapon and armour styles. Not just re-colours.
- Create armour and weapons for my character and my party.
- Ores and metals are scattered around the world to be collect. Perhaps a mini-game on forging those metals into shoulder pieces, torso peices, blades, hilts, bowstave, etc.....
- First have the Player choose their path. Rogue path(Bard/Assasin or Ranger. Quinari Excluded). Mage path(Apostate or a Magi circle member. Dwarf and Qunari excluded). Fighter path(Templar (Human only) or Warrior). Then their race. Elven, Human, Dwarf, Quinari. Then Gender.
- Less party members, but an emphasis on character development and richer backgrounds. More inner party banter during combat/exploring.
- I suggest five non optional(but killable), and two optional party members.
- Keep the same amount of side quest from DA: O. But have a few be very long side quest. Almost like sub-plots to the story.
- Keep the same creator, but add a lot more choices to the mix. Learn from the modding community.

I'm another one for cloaks. No, seriously, I hated taking Morrigan to Frostback Mountains or some snowy place in her chilly 'robes'. Seeing the Sacred Ashes trailer made me want it even more...maybe an option to toggle cloaks, and in frosty places like Haven, if you don't have them on there's a small penalty to attack or willpower or something along those lines. Because really now, I can't see Morrigan or Leliana in her thin leather armour being as efficient in combat in the snow as they are elsewhere, in the same clothes.
And uh, one gripe after the rather large political event in the game where you can do something that in turn can do something rather large to a prominent member of your party, and then getting back to camp and nobody mentioning it was a bit of a downer...I expected Wynne to yell at me, at the very least.
But yeah, small things like that are really all I have to add. I'm pretty much happy with the larger elements of the game like combat/dialogue/leveling up etc., and hope there aren't any large changes there.

Anyways, for dragon age 2 i would love to give my character a voice of his own rather than just pressing numbers. Of course I would looooooooove to have the old characters back, especially Morrigan. I dont like how she ended things with the Warden. She is the most interesting character in the game and ironically, judging by her nature, the most likable IMO.

Also agree. I think the DA:O characters should return for the sequel, so we can get to know more about them and 'finish things' as it were.

Chimera companion. ****IN' FIRE BREATHING LION WITH A SNAKE FOR A TAIL AND A ****IN' GOAT COMING OUT OF IT'S CHEST **** YEAH!
Elf/dwarf romance for both male and female
Cloaks
Graphics update
Flowing hair/clothes.
Better combat animations
Hip sheaths instead of back ones.
Hobbits. I demand a hobbit origin, I'd play that. If that was the entire game I'd buy it. Just a one hour origin. Assuming it was done in the way JRR Tolkien intended.
its funny you mention a hobbit, cause i had a dream where Hobbits were playable in this.
**** got weird after that, but it was still a hobbit.
personally, i want Qunari as a playable races, as well as.
SPOILERS
Werewolves, as the ones in Originsn weren't the only pack known.
END SPOILERS
also, more customization, more hair and skin colors and tones, also MANY more party members.
and for the last idea, i want a MASSIVE battle in the end, but i want to actually see hundreds, or even thousands of troops killing each other on a battle field, not just in a cutscene either.

Also, maybe it would be cool to deal with more than just Darkspawn. Maybe the orlesians or Qunari could join their side so you would have to battle them to... Like in Lord of the Rings where Sauron had Saruman, Black Númenóreans and Men of Harad.
That would be cool....

The AI needs to be made more difficult to deal with on harder difficulties, ie, shorter cooldowns, it will try to hinder your own chars by simply targetting the mage, or using crowd control methods in an attempt to really mess you up. I know its a hell of alot more difficult to do, but it would make the game much better on higher difficulties instead of simply upping the damage / health.
The dull dungeon crawls need to be reworked aswell. Make it interesting, use puzzles, use characters and their history, use more interesting quests, something, just dont make them another "slog" through.
Better balancing is also a must. Some skills and stats were simply better than others, by a massive leap. They made characters far too strong. Some items were simply far too powerful, or simply pointless to have. Having a tank which can pretty much dodge everything and is also spell immune just took all the fun out of the game.
Guess we'll all be waiting to see the results though. Im up for it being abit more actionpacked, but not to ME2's extent, sure, it was a great game, but it barely had any RPGish elements at all, may aswell of just labelled it a 3rd person shooter.

1. the Darkspawn are rather mindless (save the decsiples), the orcs were not.
2. they'd have to give them a reason to even consider working with them, almost nobody would even CONSIDER getting near a darkspawn, let alone work with them, the orcs were capable of negotiation.
however, if they were the Architect's Darkspawn, this wouldn't be impossible.
