More variety in monsters would be nice.

Also, maybe it would be cool to deal with more than just Darkspawn. Maybe the orlesians or Qunari could join their side so you would have to battle them to... Like in Lord of the Rings where Sauron had Saruman, Black Númenóreans and Men of Harad.

That would be cool....

there are problems with that working
1. the Darkspawn are rather mindless (save the decsiples), the orcs were not.
2. they'd have to give them a reason to even consider working with them, almost nobody would even CONSIDER getting near a darkspawn, let alone work with them, the orcs were capable of negotiation.

however, if they were the Architect's Darkspawn, this wouldn't be impossible.

The main enemy is not necessarily darkspawn - the point is that we shouldn't just fight one enemy - which I agree with. Fighting an allegience of qunari, elves and dwarves - just an example - would be better than just fighting a horde of qunari

more weapon models, more weapons, more armor models, a more advanced specialisation tree and a more hack n slash fighting mechanic instead of a somewhat turn based combat system (even though it might be helpful to some).

Never understood why people thought romance was to fast. Until a day ago when I got Zevran. wanted to bed me on the first night, dude you just tried to kill me a night ago! Character wise I can understand with Zev, but the other characters will bed you after one night still.

So in short longer romances.

Am I the only one that doesn't want any change to the dialogue system? You can't tell me you could sit through something like the female human experienced voice (the one I use for my noble). If you haven't used that voice, use it and go find a dragon. "Unbelievable! A dragon!" *cringes* Besides, what if their voice doesn't appeal to your character?

I wouldn't really change anything, maybe have different meshes for armor, I don't think there's enough variance. And to hopefully keep good quality writing- no rushing.

No you are not. I would hate to have to force a voice on to my character. When i read the dialogue i make a choice and read it again in my head in the voice that sounds natural for that character.

The only other thing i think i would change is adding consequences for actions and possibly a universal codex so it would be eaiser to complete and i wouldnt have to load a game if i wanted to read more about the history of ferelden.

First one I can think of is a greater number of mage spells.

And give us griffon mounts!

Some interesting side quests, a more cinematic story, some more interesting fights and scenarios, there are some things like multiplayer I wouldn't but that might take away from the singleplayer experience so it's a hit or miss there.

I'd also like there to be a lot of content and gametime, even if in the form of DLC's. It'd be cool to have some good conversations and companions too.

Hmm... this is actually an interesting question. Dragon Age Origins did everything at least reasonably well, and I can't think of anything in need of immediate improvement. Ah well, I'll give it a shot.

1) Wizard-like robes, and hoods and pointy hats instead of those ridiculous cowls.
Note: You think I became an Arcane Warrior for gameplay reasons? No. It was a fashion statement, and nothing more.
2) Companion Commentary
Note: Companion chatter in DA:O was hilarious. Why can't my party also comment on and argue about the things that I do? (Read, for instance, David Edding's work; amount of chatter caused by even the most mundane of things was enormous, and yet hilarious)
3) More difficult moral dilemmas
Note: For all the hype, my path through DA:O was relatively clear cut. For instance, cut the circle of magi as an option when trying to save Connor, etc. More things like being forced to pick between life of companion and life of village i.e. choosing between to evils.
4) Less darkspawn, more politics
Note: Darkspawn represent pure evil, but in politics both sides have shadowy motives.
5) Do away with all gifts save plot ones
Note: It never made any sense to me how you could butcher a companion's friend in front of their very eyes, then make things better with a nice bottle of wine. Plot gifts should remain, though.
6) Griffons
Note: I know aerial combat would be difficult as hell to program, but throw us a cutscene in which we ride griffons, I beg of you!
7) Abilities for an Arcane Warrior
Note: All I did as an AW was an awful lot of right clicking
8) More Drama
Note: Saving the Citadel in ME was dramatic. Talking to Sandal before I sacrificed my life was not.
9) Even longer romances
Note: Just small things like casual conversations that don't achieve anything, and good-natured arguments.
11) Shale.
12) A pet that sits in the ranger animal box, instead of taking up a full companion slot.
Note: Definitely not a Mabari. How about a nice wolf instead? Everyone likes wolves.

Wow, turns out that I could think of a lot of things; all of them minor though. Anyway, I know it's kind of arrogant to sit here and make criticisms of someone else's hard work, so think of these more as wistful dreams than anything else.

Deeper rpg elements, better character customization, the same game length if not longer,to not market the game as a rpg only to have it be a way shorter action game like they did with ME2.To build on the great things the first game did well without making the game more casual.

How would it work though? Would you like to see it changed to an open ended world or have them used kind of like plot devices to get from point A to point B?

Only thing I can think off at the minute is fixing the weapons, I'm not normally one for aesthics being a manly man and all that but the weapons in DA:O were all ridiculous looking. They looked like they were designed to be used by bigfoot.

flying works well in Divinity 2 too, and it also has swimming, climbing, and jumping, these are all things i want to see in Bioware games implemented, why the heck go 3D if not use these basic actions when even DDO managed to pull it off?

Being able to wear my helmet in conversations. It pissed me off to no end that my character would take off his helmet, even in the middle of a battlefield! Seriously? Whats the point of that?!

Also capes.

More roleplay, more choises, more freedom, more exploration, more cities, more non-combat plots, more character creation options. Ability to import characters.

Less linearity, less combat, less resrictions.

No DA:A dialogue system, no achievements, no restriction on races and professions.

Seems like I'm going to be dissapointed.

I would like to see more special little things to collect like: the juggernaut armor in the brecillian forest and the armor of the legion in the deep roads, (especially the dead trenches if memory serves). Also they should balance the loot a bit more. For instance an ogre should carry more loot than the average hurlock. This is, however, not the case. And sometimes after semi-bossfights like an exceptionally strong deepstalker, all I would get was a lame darkspawn shield. Talking about semi-bossfights, maybe they could implement more strong than usual creeps. Like a genlock alpha but then take the idea a little further.

Furthermore I would like to see a few stronger enemies instead of numerous weak enemies. This is not a balancing issue, it's just that most talents and spells focus on damaging or disrupting a single target with the exception of a mage having cone of cold and the like. You could ofcourse also implement more Area Of Effect spells, but my personal preference would be to adjust the amount of creeps and how strong they are.

Ofcourse more rpg-elements are always a good thing and some other ways to increase your 'approval rating' with companions.

Now this last one is a very big one, but nevertheless I would like to see it. Make the world bigger. In Dragon Age: Origins you had a map with ofcourse about 10 locations I guess. Now those locations were really big and alot to explore. But I missed the open world sense. When travelling to another location you had these random events that you were hindered by some creeps. Which I found more annoying than engaging, especially because sometimes I would be travelling to a merchant real quick because I ran out of potions, and I would sometimes get attacked by numerous darkspawn.

Nevertheless it was a big world to explore but I missed the open world feeling. Some locations that had nothing to do with anything would be nice, like a few towns with their own problems. The only city you could go to was denerim. (lothering got destroyed) And I found that a shame. Now I shall stop.

Also never, EVER lock someone up in an area. Just now I met Branka in the deep roads and had a hundred lesser health poultices with me. By the time I was at the boss fight. I had only seven poultices left. I am playing on hard difficulty so this meant that I was FORCED to turn down the difficulty because otherwise I would be stuck in the game. It was a really stupid idea to make for that you couldn't leave to get more health poultices. A stain on Dragon Age's awesome reputation.

Yes, this is exactly how I think it should work. An open ended world would be super.

The character system needs some big tuning.

The last status of the system of Origins + Awakening isn't really balanced, and it requires little thinking and planning from players.
