Hello there people you may have noticed that I've been posting a lot about a Batarian squad mate. The reason why I think it'd be cool to have one is because I think Batarians are cool. Now I know that most of you will hate it but once you read the entire story of him you'll like him.
Now before you ask I am serious when I say that if enough people like this and edit it to the way everyone can like it I will send it into Bioware or tell them to look at it because a ton of forum members like it, especially moderators, and it's not just some random forum member, me. So here it goes I'm starting of with his small background to when he's 10, and then when Torek is 15. Here we go. This is just a background and dossier like the one the elusive man sends Shepard but it's after Shepard recruits him because like Legion he's surprise recruitable. Torek is not your typical Batarian Shepard sure he had normal beginnings. Born to the most famous Batarian slaver Balak brother to his now second in command Belek. The difference starts with his upbringing I'm uploading his dossier to your codex it's a lengthy read. Oh yeah and it may be a stroke of luck that you got him on your team with his skills.
Shepard goes to his codex. Torek's father was a violent abusive man. He'd beat Torek and then make his first son Belek beat him all in front of his mother who was also beaten. Torek's mother was a compassionate female Batarian, found by two old, retired Asari justicars who couldn't have children. She was raised to love all people including humans, because the Batarian's hate for humans is not genetic but in the teachings of the parents. Her given name was Nala and when she met Balak he charmed her and kept his life a secret from her until their first son Belek was born, a year later she tried to divorce him but that ended with Balak beating her and then rapeing her resulting in son #2 Torek. Torek was a runt who was beaten by not only his father, but his brother and the whole town. Torek's only friend was a young orphaned Vorcha named Chelkan.
Chelkan was abandoned for being weak and he grew up on his own because no other grown Vorcha would take him in until he met Torek. From the start Torek and Chelkan were inseparable, they were always together watching each-other's backs until one day Belek and his gang ambushed them and the fight ended with Chelkan getting a broken jaw and Torek's top right eye down to his bottom left eye getting cut. That was the last straw for Nala, Torek's mother in case you forgot, she started taking Torek and Chelkan on little " BUSINESS" TRIPS[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/bandit.png[/smilie]. These trips would be Nala taking them to places like the citadel and omega for a small lesson in the culture of other races.
Well one day when Torek was 15 Balak had gotten suspicious and decide to take Belek and follow the duo, luckily Chelkan was sick. They waited until nightfall and then they struck breaking down the door to the hotel room Nala, and Torek were in. Balak then started to beat Torek and then had Belek take over all in front of Nala. After they were done with Torek, helpless to do anything but watch, they both shot and killed Nala. They took Torek back home where he stayed learning slave trade, and the ways of a mercenary, remembering that night and preparing for the day of his revenge.
