Hello,

Probably been covered before however I cant find any resolution as of yet.

Regarding Mass Effect 2

Game runs smoothly my only issue is that the model textures have some sort of issue where black "tears" all over them, particularly on the faces.

I Have ran the config utility and tried all manor of combinations regarding settings for light and resulation, have tried disabling vsync but all of this is to no avail.

I have not experianced issues such as this with Dragon Age nor ME1 so I am at a loss.

I am running non steam/ physical disk ver of the game.

My Sysytem spec is as follows:

CPU - Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU    Q9550  @ 2.83GHz
Sound - SB X-Fi Audio [BC00]
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 512MB
Op System - Microsoft Windows XP Professional

All drivers are up to date.

Could this be anything to do with my moniter (doubtful) if not can somebody please help?

Are you using the newest 257 drivers from nvidia? They are known to cause such problems in Mass Effect 2, the only solution at the time is a rollback.

The nVIDIA Geforce 7950 is a REAL video card from a real 3D game savvy company.  It should work, although it is now old, and comparatively slow by today's standards.

Intel builds business equipment for business use, and doesn't care about game players.  They don't know how to make a game-capable video device, and don't much care that they don't know.  Your machine isn't supposed to play games.

MINIMUM Graphics
Video Card = 256 MB (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support). Supported GPU Chips: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or greater; ATI Radeon X1600 Pro or greater. Please note that NVIDIA GeForce (add the 210 here), 7100, 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, 9200, and 9300; ATI Radeon X1300, HD 2400, 3100, 3200, HD 3450, HD 3470, HD 4200, and HD 4350 are below minimum system requirements. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required. Intel  and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.

RECOMMENDED
ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT, or better, recommended
NOTES: For the best results, make sure you have the latest drivers for your video and audio cards. Laptop or mobile versions of the above supported video cards have not had extensive testing and may have driver or other performance issues. As such, they are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.  Intel  and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.

Damn, my videocard is dying and i can't play any videogames right now or my videocard suffers a meltdown, and i still think the videocard works better than Intel videochips.
