Those who participate in strategy discussions lean overwhelming toward Hardcore/Insanity difficulty. But not everyone is going to play that way, and I was wondering if anyone would modify their class build based on the difficulty setting.

For instance, I pretty much ignore Shockwave and Pull as a Vanguard, but Shockwave actually becomes incredibly powerful when used on Veteran difficulty and below.

While my Hardcore/Insanity build might look like this:
Incendiary - Level 4
Cryo - Level 4
Charge - Level 4
Shockwave - Level 1
Pull - 0
Assault Mastery - Level 4
Slam - Level 4

The Veteran and Below build would look like this:
Incendiary - Level 2
Cryo - Level 4
Charge - Level 4
Shockwave - Level 4
Pull - Level 1
Assault Mastery - Level 4
Flashbang Grenade - Level 3

Anyone have a class build that they would significantly alter if the difficulty level was different?

I play as a snipedier, and I guess my only difference is I'd probably not bother with disruptor ammo since I can 1-shot most shield enemies without it on low difficulties, and instead grab concussive shot just to pewpew explosion stuff.

Playing around with the ME2 Talent Calculator, I figured out that my Infiltrator and Engineer builds would stay the same. Sentinel would be different.

Hardcore/Insanity
Throw - Level 2
Warp - Level 4
Tech Armor - Level 4
Overload - Level 4
Cryo Blast - Level 1
Defender - Level 4
Warp Ammo - Level 3

Veteran and Below
Throw - Level 4
Warp - Level 4
Tech Armor - Level 4
Overload - Level 1
Cryo Blast - 0
Defender - Level 4
Warp Ammo - Level 4

For an Adept:

Hardcore/Insanity
Warp - Level 4
Throw - Level 1
Singularity - Level 4
Pull - Level 2
Shockwave - Level 3
Biotic Mastery - Level 4
Warp Ammo - Level 4

Veteran and Below
Warp - Level 4
Throw - Level 4
Singularity - Level 4
Pull - Level 1
Shockwave - 0
Biotic Mastery - Level 4
Neural Shock - Level 4

You're right. Warp Ammo is supposed to be Level 3.

There are plenty of classes where my builds would turn on their head. I don't really love Cryo ammo but on lower difficulties it's too good not to love. Same applies for Cryo Blast, Dominate, Neural Shock, Shredder Ammo, etc ....

Basically on the powers that really wreck unprotected targets [which there are many on lower difficulties] I think I'd pump those up and leave others on their own.

I think on lower difficulties, Shredder Ammo might go from being much maligned to actually being well loved.

Armor-Piercing/Tungsten is still the better choice even on lower difficulties.  Would you rather deal 50%/70% boosted damage to armor, organic health, and synthetic health; or deal 60%/80% boosted damage to just organic health only?
