The Benezia fight is SO easy! You immediately run to where the Rachni Queen's tank blocks line of sight between Shepard and Benezia. Then you kill all the geth and Asari Commandos until Benezia's status bar is exhausted. Attacking Benezia herself is pointless. It's just the way the scenario is constructed. There are three waves of new enemies, and after you defeat them all you trigger the closing cutscene. Easy breezy. Seriously, this is the whinefest to end all whinefests.

I was just having so much fun with this game until they did this dumb ****.

I love tactics & strategy, not adhering to some anti tactic involving me having to kill a bosses minions first just to kill the boss. If I wanted that I'd be playing that stupid WOW game.

shes a 1000 year old assari matriach the most powerful biotic in citadel space, and you expect it to be the same as fighting every other biotic. SUPRISE!! shes got some tricks up her sleeve that you havent seen. its obviously some sort of shield shes sustaining by drawing power from her minions.

you really need to calm down. its something you see in a few different games.. kill minions/turrets/power crystals/heads before you can take down the boss

It doesn't say anywhere that Matriarch's rely on their allies for power... I think Benezia's power was fading every time she froze Shepard and his/her teammates. Matriarch's are the strongest biotics in the galaxy... They are not invincible, but Bioware probably put her in God mode so the player would have to use strategy in the fight. You are not supposed to attack her when her "power" bar is full/medium/empty.
you're probably better off just hoarding (or w/e you call it) on WoW..

I really don't mind that.  There should of been a tip or some kind of codex I could of found in game that told me that.  I should of been able to talk to an npc that says ....

"Beware matrarch benenzia biotic powers, she draws strength from nearby allies"....

THAT is all I needed to know to adjust my tactics accordingly. BUT THE GAME KEPT ME IN THE DARK.   The game didn't even try to help or hint at preparing me for the fight with her.

I DIDN"T KNOW ANY NPCS IN THE GAME WOULD RECEIVE GOD MODE.

I"M SUPPOSED TO BE THE FIRST MOTHER ****ING HUMAN SPECTRE AM I REALLY THAT MUCH OF 
A PIECE OF **** COMPARED TO A 1000 YEAR OLD MATRIARCH?  I SURVIVED AKUZE.. asdfklasjdflkasjdflkasjdflk wTF

My first bioware game was dragon age. No where in dragon age was their an npc with god mode turned on.

I beat dragon age on normal difficulty without EVER dieing. Every first encounter was a victory with proper understanding of codex and speaking with every npc gaining knowledge on my opponents.

But mass effect throws you into a situation where you're fighting against AN NPC WITH MOTHER ****ING GOD MODE TURNED ON OI"M SO ****ING ANGRY.

WHERE THE **** IS MY GOD MODE?

HOW CAN I GET GOD MODE?  I AM THE FIRST HUMAN SPECTRE, I SURVIVED AKUZE, WHERE IS MY GOD MODE?

I just want a fair fight, nothing more.

No npc should get god mode, and if they do the game should tell me before hand in some very very subtle way that involves exploration.

Had I talked to an npc at the citadel tower that warned me that matriarch benenzia draws power from her minions, then I would of killed her minions first.

But there was nothing like that.

I killed the first two minions she sent against me but then the matrarch called in for more reinforcements.  Basically taht is a red flag FOR KILLING THE MOTHER ****ING LEADER BEFORE SHE CONTUINES
 TO CALL IN MORE REFINROCEMENTS>

MY CHARACTER IS SUCH A PIECE OF **** INFERIOR SPECTRE THAT IS UTTER **** COMPARED TO AN

I want her god mode off.. I'll do anything to get her god mode off. I'd love to kill that stupid **** with her god mode off.

Basically I want to completely ignore all her minions and kill her first.

I want that option, I don't want to be forced into a one way fight.

1. Open up notepad, enter in "MassEFT^&Ben.fight13.G-mod <false>" (without the brackets) then save anywhere

2. Play Mass Effect, to the point where you are about to fight, exit the game again

3. Open up notepad one more time then chance <false> to <true>

4.Play ME again, when Benezia starts attacking you DO NOT fight back otherwise this will redo the previous 3 points.

5. Kill Benezia's croneys until she loses some of her power bar. She will spawn more allies, this is normal. Kill them too, again, she'll spawn more. Do this until she has no power bar left. That's when the games INI files will auto execute with the new command and her god mode will turn off.

6. Kill Benezia.

how to disable benezias god mode:



1: Turn your gun to aim at asari commandos and varying geth (So many snipers in this part.... so many snipers....)



2: Kill the Asari commandos and Geth.



3: Repeat 1&2 untill the power meter is empty.



Seriously its that simple.
