As it sounds, my companions never get more than 250 shields even after buying the upgrades, only by the time I have just bought it, once I enter/leave the Normandy, POFF, the bonus is gone

Any solution? I don't like at all micromanaging so much them so they don't get instantly gibbed on insanity. It happens both on xbox360/pc

Just save and reload. This (9 out of 10 times) usually corrects your allies' damage protection. I know, stupid glitch. I think it is some temporary memory issue, like the extra ammo armor pieces sometimes messing up.
