The best part of the Mako (as opposed to the Hammerhead) was that you could get out and fight on foot whenever you wanted. Missions like Geth incursions or the Protheon Skyway were great on foot.

THIS^

Also, putting Mako action into the main plot missions made them feel longer, and the locations feel bigger. Resulting in more overall epicness of the story.

Also you could SAVE game while in Mako.

And also you could zoom in on the beautiful explosions, such as these:

And those explosions looked almost like HE blasts and not like silly "barrel of benzine" mushrooms.

Yeah.
I never really though I would ask to get Mako back.

I have decided that the ward arms have armor that extends out both sides to fully enclose the entire Citadel. I'm glad I decided this because I wouldn't have been able to sleep at night knowing the design of the Citadel that we see in pictures should have never enclosed completely.

Watch the cinematic of Sovereign approaching the Citadel again:  there are indeed retracted segments attached to the ends of the ward arms, and you can see them sliding foward.  That's not quite what's going on with the "base",  though.  As Sovereign is about to dock, you get a glimpse of the ring: it appears to be completely filled in.  I.e., the "base" is flat.  One possibility is that there are flaps at the bottom of the ward arms which flip into position at right angles from the arms, and thereby create a "floor" that seals the ring.  That said, the ward arms do extend some distance past the ring when in the closed position.

OK, that's great.  And images captured from the docking sequence will still show what I described: when closed,  part of each arm is below the ring, the pointed panels at the ends slide forward, and there's an apparent "floor" sealing the base.

You know, nitpicking makes life a lot less enjoyable. Take a deep breath and try just enjoying things instead of over-analyzing them.

I understand constructive criticism is important, but nitpicking that much is just ridiculous.

So, if I were to mention another annoying ME2 thing I'd add to Zulu_DFA's list, would that be "nitpicking" too??? Like the BIG one that bothers me - Morinth's conversation w\\Shep where she says she had to kill a Spectre named Nihlus......REALLY???? Nihlus was killed by Saren on the train platform on Eden Prime in ME1 (1st mission). So, how did a dead turian Spectre get re-killed by Morinth??? It wasn't a little side plot in ME1 either, it was a major factor in Shep becoming a Spectre later (than sooner) and antagonism w\\the stupid "alien only" Council. Just thought I'd get it posted again in this thread as a reminder to folks to rethink "nitpicking".............

She doesn't.  Samara on the other hand mentions she tangled with Nihlus some years back.  He outsmarted her, and lived.

My bad - I meant Samara, not Morinth. Still same thing, Nihlus killed by Saren. AND, my Shep's conversation with Samara is that she killed him, he didn't live. Choose the other options on conversation. (something about pulling his weapon on an innocent and she had no choice)

Played ME2 7 times, it's happened all 7 times. I'm on my 8th time now, when I get to the conversation, I'll make notes this time........

So, actually, Samara does not tell you she killed Nihlus. She tells you she fought him because he killed an unarmed person in front of her, but he managed to escape by taking a hostage.

Like, I said: she doesn't say she killed Nihlus. She says she tried and failed. Your Shep, my Shep, his Shep, her Shep, whatever: doesn't matter. Samara simply never claims that she killed him

I can't take you seriously since you use shredder ammo.

This was a perfect ME1-style playthrough. I used Shredder, Armor-piercing and Incendiary (all Squad) ammo mods and also Area Overload and Attack Drone. In addition to normal Infiltrator "powers".

Ah, god-damn waxing nostalgia.  I recant my previous comment.

Here's Samara's story about Nihlus:

For the impatient: he killed an unarmed civilian on some Asari world, who knows why, and Samara's code demanded she attack. He avoided it, fought back, and then led her on a chase through the wilderness for two weeks.  Finally, he engineered a situation where her only choices were to either keep pursuing him or let an innocent die.  The Justicar code required her to save the innocent, and Nihlus got away while she was occupied with that.  So, since he was obviously not dead at the start of ME1, Samara simply never bothered leaving Asari space to try and find him.

*facepalm* Pleese pay attention to the dialog. As everyone has said, Samara says he got away and left Asari space. He was never killed, until ME.
