Well, befor playing ME2 i thought, lets replay the original. As I kinda expected, I had some problems (I think i had problems the first time too...) i resolved the all, all but one. After very little time, the game freezes and I get red dots (idk how to refer to them in english, artifacts?) on my screen -> Powerbutton. Can't even get to the Capitain.

Edit: I had a problem with the sound, some people were talking to quiet or the voice was strange. The solution was to turn down the hardware-acceleration for sound (again, not completely sure how to call it in english ) is there a better way? If not... it's fixed, or atleast I hope it is...

Edit: newest driver, gt 8800 and Win XP... well I think that's all

If you have artifacts your hardware might be failing. Could you post a screenshot?

Well, that's not that easy , everytime I get artifacts, I have to restart the PC, so I can't make a screenshot. But it's all over the screen not just some parts. And I don't think it's hardware because (atleast as far as I know) shouldn't this error also show up in different games. (I recently played Oblivion & Dead Space)

but well here we go:

physical and the vendor... uff wog.ch maybe but can't remember, is not that important probabely.
