Hello all,

Once again, it's to time report some of the latest bug fixes that will be included in the upcoming 1.04 patch for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

• Fixed pick-pocketing. Characters were successfully stealing, but not receiving any items.
• It is no longer possible for the player to get blocked during gameplay by pursuing both candidates' quests in the Orzammar plot line.
• (Awakening Only) During the Assault on Amaranthine, a bug would occasionally make some enemies invincible, which impeded game progress. This no longer happens.
• (Awakening Only) Masterpiece and paragon silverite runes are now weapon runes instead of armor runes.
• (Awakening Only) The masterpiece slow rune is now available for purchase from merchant stores.

Previously reported:

• Instant +100 approval bugs for Awakening companions have been resolved.
• Anders, Sigrun and Velanna's personal quests will properly activate.
• Fixed an issue that would prevent an imported character from detecting traps.
• Red script will no longer appear in the place of tattoos.
• Power of Blood talent will be usable in Awakening.
• Game saves on Xbox 360 were being corrupted if you sold too many items to the same merchant. Saves will no longer be corrupted if you do this.
• Daggers will now properly assign the dexterity-based damage bonus
• Updated audio drivers to fix a number of audio related crashes.
• Switching between Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Awakening were resetting options to default settings.
• Multiple transitions in and out of Fade areas were multiplying the number of visual effects running, slowing down gameplay.
• Resolved a number of memory leaks that were causing crashes and increases load times.
• (Awakening only) Players may now receive notes of appreciation from former love interests.

Keep watching for additional details. At this time, we do not have a release date for the patch. Once that is set, we will update you on that.

What about origins fixes? We still have a crap load on the console versions. Also you guys are fixing the sentinel armor in awakening right?

Thanks for update

Lots of work going into this patch and weekly communication are great.

However the Awakening retail patch still screwed up my game!

Please look into this:

Issues that we would like the patch to address (PS3)

* Awakening retail patch creates an issue with other patches: For me it means a broken game playable only in slow motion (impossible to attack or do any tactics), 2 minute full pauses and freezing. For other people "Loading saved data" becomes the only screen they see. Other people are still experiencing crashes

* PS3 overall framerate is painful: This thread has been asking for a fix since launch. Right now we play in slow motion (really) and game semi-freezes mid battle making it unplayable

* Locked Saved Games: Please unlock the saves, with data corrupting bugs and the like we obviously need backups. Sacred 2, WKC and RE5 all unlocked via patch so this is possible.

As of now, me and many other ps3 players are stuck with a game we would like to but cannot play, which means I also can't buy any dlc. All because I supported Bioware and bought Awakening even though it didn't strike me as a good deal or a great idea.

Please work on it!

Still hoping for fix to import Warden's Keep and Collector's edition items into Awakening so you don't import in naked and weaponless...

^ That's intended. Don't know why they did it that way. But they specifically said those items won't import. Very doubtful they'll "fix" something that's technically not broken.

Could you also change the appearance of Blackblade helm to something better looking like a black version of Excecutioner's helm?
Because a cool looking armor like Blackblade Armor just doesn't look good with the original Blackblade helm it makes the character look like a Penguin

but if not i'll settle for the Blackblade gloves and Blackblade boots :D

They could fix it, but it's probably not as big a priority as some of the outstanding bugs.

Because it would make players happy, not to mention that the way they could use is how they are doing the items for the DLCs like Darkspawn Chronicles, which would be much easier than having to reissue the entire DLCs for a few item changes. :P

Awesome pocket picking was fixed!! Unfortunately I finished my official play-through with my good character so there is no way in hell I am gonna redo my storyline. I am lucky enough to have finished it the way I wanted it despite the schedule I got in real life. But this fix will certainly help in Awakening!! .....I hope....

People who bought the Collector's edition paid a premium.    Why screw your best customers by not letting them use the Collector Edition items or the Blood Dragon Armor if they choose?

That's my opinion also. I don't understand why expensive items (real life money-wise) would be denied from continued use. :crying:

You can tell it's Friday.. New thread with patch updates :D

@qwerty: Thanks for the backup in the previous thread, but I don't need it.. Best way to deal with trolls is not to feed them. Let them starve to death or move on to another thread and someone else to pester :D

I appreciate these fixes. You guys are doing a great job with this update... barring a few minor issues that still remain (like Chanter's Board quests giving lesser rewards the more that are turned in at once), I'm not sure there's much more to fix.

No ETA given yet; many players are speculating that it will be out around the same time as the upcoming DLC (July 6).
