Hey Victor do you know anything about the "Grandmaster Lightning Rune" being fixed in Awakening? The wiki says it can be bought after the "Trade Must Flow" quest is done but I can't seem to find it anywhere.Victor Wachter wrote...
Let's not let the thread degenerate into the goofy argument we're having above. We have to allow equal airtime for other goofy arguments. For the purposes of pretty much everything I ever post, PC is synonymous with a Windows system. Pretty much the way the rest of the world uses the term
With regard to Mac updates: We haven't forgotten about the Mac. But development for it goes down a very different pathway, and unfortunately is not parallel to PC and console development. We aren't done supporting the Mac, but for the time being I also don't have any news for it.

But before releasing it, I hope you will fix the silly dialogue errors at the later parts of Origins... SPOILERS-> The worst errors are 1) that everyone believe Alistar is king when he is not, 2) that dead people are referred to as alive, and 3) when Alistar is breaking up with the player after landsmeet even when they are friends only.
These and more dialogue errors (please fix as many as possible, as the dialoge is so important in this game) are described in Qwinns fixpack: http://social.biowar...m/project/2563/
I also hope it will be possible to get the ancient elven boots, and that Shale no longer wil look broken in the final scene at landsmeet if you save and then return to the scene.
Awakening I don't know anything about as 1.03 has made me delay playing it.

I've done 11 runs through Awakening and I just craft my own Grandmaster Lightning Rune each time. One of your companions has high enough rune crafting to do that for you, just a bit of a pain running in and out of the Keep to get him to do it for you.

So are bows going to be fixed along with daggers? Been trying to find this out for a while, all that's there on the list if fixes is daggers.
I'd also like to know if this dexterity + bows bug will be
fixed, as bows are the main weapon for my elf dude - glade to see pick pocketing
and daggers fixed, keep on bug squashing BW! :-)

I would like to add my voice to those saying fix the Blackblade armor set (the drop rate and proper display of tunic on female rogue) and the Sentinel armor. Also if it is not too much to ask, please put the Ceremonial gloves in the game for the console people, and the elven boots in the cupboard for the PC people.

I can't wait for the patch, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it actually fixes severe issues like this.

Hopefully either the memory leak or the sound driver fix will fix this problem. A problem that occurs for some people no matter their specs, gfx settings or if they got dlcs or addons installed or not. Every other fix is minor to me at the moment. A confirmation that this is fixed in 1.04 would be nice.

Too bad Bioware isn't following Valve's way of doing things. They are developing Mac and PC games in lockstep, meaning neither game will lag behind the other. They are going to program and release PC, console, and Mac simultaneously.

And most of the PC users that I've seen complaining are well above recommended specs.

Ok, lets check again:
Intel Core i7 860 Quad-Core
8 GB DDR3 SDRAM
2 x 1 TB - standard - Serial ATA-300 - 7200 opm
D±RW / DVD-RAM / BD-ROM - Serial ATA
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 1.8 GB
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition
This should be able to play the game well. Instead it crashes, laggs and have low fps even on the lowest settings. Dragon Age is the only game I'm not able to play perfect.
It must also be noted that the game WAS working perfect before the terrible 1.03 patch. Ok, the loadingscreens was getting longer as I played, but they were never longer than 1 minutte, and the gameplay was smooth all the time.
And anyway: A lot of the bugs are not related to performance. Like the dialogue and quest bugs. SPOILER: Even on the most powerfull computers, Morrigan will talk about Alistar as king when he is not. SPOILER END.
Really looking forward for this patch, so this great game can be played again:)

So all that's missing at this point is the sword & armor wrong skin glitch in awakening
In Awakening probably (dont know, as I haven't played it), but I really hope they will fix the dialogue bugs in Origins.
Again: Dialogue is so important in this game, so its very sad with all the errors in the latter parts. It shouldn't be that hard to fix as modders have done it. I hope they don't skip it because of the mods, as most players probably don't know about the possibility, and the possibility only is on the PC version. + I am also a bit sceptic on letting random people on internet change the writing in the game. You never know if they take the liberty to change more than bugs and make it their story in some parts.
There are also other bugs in origins (as noted earlier and described in qwinns fixpack), that I hope they will fix. But if they add dialoguefix to the list of fixes in the patch, then I will say that all the most critical errors are fixed.

You said the patch is for PC, Xbox360, and PS3. What about Mac? Some of my friends have the Mac version. Also, they have been asking questions for months on their forum with no answers. Doesn't Bioware care about them?
PC=Personal computer, Mac is a personal computer last time I cheacked.
Ummmm....don't you remember all those "Hi, I'm and Mac", and "Hi, I'm a PC" commercials?
Macs are not PCs. Two different animals.
Just google "Mac vs PC and see all the articles comparing the two. None ever refer to the Mac as a PC....cuz it's not.
That's markting crap. PC is a personal computer, always has been. This whole PC vs Mac crap only came up because M$ was not orginal and decided to use a word that means something diffrent.
I agree with you. I work in the industry...and all it truly is is marketing. The acronym (PC) can apply however you like. I run unix, and it too is a PC.
