I'm guessing I'm one of the lucky ones with a good working DAO, still I too have some of the dialogue bugs, though fixed with some modding atm. I look forward to the Awakening fixes. While my only playthrough was generally few in bugs, I hope they fix the DLC items transfering and model issues with Warden's Keep. I also hope that the Dev's take note with item drops coming so late in the game to be rather useless. Getting a nice item with only 20 minutes left to the end is kinda crappy... but I'm really happy they're fixing approvals, and hope making them wardens is also fixed in the process, and LI letters.

Ya, it should be possible to transfer DLC items to Awakening. Again modders have made it possible. Even though it is not really a bug, but a choice from the devs.

Talking about DLC, would be nice if they made it more easy to reinstall on PC. When I have reinstalled the game (ex. to get back to 1.02a) there are always a lot of trouble to get it back. Often it doesn't show up on the DLC list at all. (This is only on PC.)

again some bug(s) are in the eye of the beholder. What some people consider bug(s) will not bother everyone. I read some reviews that told me that the game (FPS game) had clipping or collision errors into it but even tough i experienced them in the game it did not ruin the game for me because everything else worked.

i would not call different armors with the same skin a bug in my opinion while some other people would. I remember that Diablo had many of the same icons for different things. But the stats were what would be the game changer, now in this day and age you can have different skins for the same armor which would be ideal. But i would not call it a bug.

A bug breaks the game in one form or another....that is my definition of it anyways...

Hooray for new patch updates! I'm really happy to see this will fix the issues people have complained about the most. I wonder if this patch is a prelude to accessing Awakening Data in the toolset? I rather hope so, theres quite a lot of stuff I want to mess around with.

Does this include the bug that makes you unable to do the joining ritual for the last person that you pick up before the final attack starts?

How about an estimated release date for the patches? I know you guys have been working on Leilianas song, and while I am giddy as any fanboy with the romance prospects, I would have rather had the patches first.

You said the patch is for PC, Xbox360, and PS3. What about Mac? Some of my friends have the Mac version. Also, they have been asking questions for months on their forum with no answers. Doesn't Bioware care about them?

PC=Personal computer, Mac is a personal computer last time I cheacked.

Ummmm....don't you remember all those "Hi, I'm and Mac", and "Hi, I'm a PC" commercials?

Macs are not PCs.  Two different animals.

Just google "Mac vs PC and see all the articles comparing the two.  None ever refer to the Mac as a PC....cuz it's not.

That's markting crap. PC is a personal computer, always has been. This whole PC vs Mac crap only came up because M$ was not orginal and decided to use a word that means something diffrent.

I agree with you.  I work in the industry...and all it truly is is marketing.  The acronym (PC) can apply however you like.  I run unix, and it too is a PC.

Although a Mac is a 'Computer' that you use in a 'Personal' way, the
technology  in both machines is used differently. That is why Macs are not refered to as PC's.  PC's require an OS (Windows/Linux/etc) to be installed in order to comunicate between hardware and software, a Mac however has it's OS built into the system allowing for higher speeds and stability with equivalent Specs (no os hogging ram etc)

That is why MACS are used by proffesionals in the art/media industry. This is also why software is provided in PC and MAC format. However not all companies are supporting the mac format because it means writing the same software in different formats.

Last time I checked, you actually had to install an OS on a Mac to get it to work. It's been a long time since Macs could run strictly from the firmware.

My appologies, if i'm wrong. The way my mind works 10 years ago seems like 10 minutes.
Maybe the need for an installed OS now is due to virtual OS support for windows etc.

But either way the software (DA or example) is still written using different coding.

Mac = Fail For Gamming. There are media PC's if you want to look at it that way.  Mainly used in Art and other Media related professional fields. PC terminology has been around for years and MS did not invent the Phrase "Personal Computer" IBM did. Macs where designed and renamed by apple and it was Apple that decided to name something different not MS. So please get your facts straight.

PC is Harware no matter how you look at it. Mac is a diffrent type of hardware Optimized for there own OS where PC where not.

Thanks again for another info update! More good stuff this time I see...

I had a question about this:

Victor Wachter wrote...

• Multiple transitions in and out of Fade areas were multiplying the number of visual effects running, slowing down gameplay.
• Resolved a number of memory leaks that were causing crashes and increases load times.

Any confirmation as to whether or not the delayed death bug is part of those fixes? I would expect it to be, but confirmation either way would be nice.

Guys, Victor's already asked that the whole 'Mac is/is not a PC' debate be dropped. Please try to keep on topic and take the debate elsewhere (off topic might be a good forum for it).

As for those requesting a patch release date: BioWare doesn't do that. Their policy has always been "It will be done when it's done". As far as I'm aware they've never given release dates for patches.

A good policy, as is the one where they don't promise something they aren't sure they can deliver.

That can easily be avoided by going after Kristoff in Blackmarsh last.

I too hope for a Shale rock barrage fix. If you are able to say Victor, is that something that is being looked into? I know it isn't as big a problem as some, but it sucks knowing Shale can't be at full potential.

Even if you do that, Sigrun's joining scene is still buggy... She speaks with Velanna's voice and uses exactly the same phrase.

PS Biowarians, please fix the Vigilance sword! This is not a game-breaking bug, but it proves that Awakening is rushed and unpolished. It was supposed to be THE legendary item of the game. As for the famous silverite mines bug, I haven't encountered bugs like others and I have played this area 3-4 times. Not even my custom items or items from various mods disappeared! PC user here btw.

I have not played my game for over two months now, but after checking these fixes... I am going to have to get back in and play once this patch is released. I really like the fact that we are getting updates on the fixes. It is far better than be given a release date... then another date... and then another... and then..... Awakening.
Thanks all, this is a much better means of getting, at least me, excited about a release... and this is only a patch! B)
Edit: Also, I have to agree with L0n3w0lf1971, fixing the Silverite Mine bug would be great... I lost all of my items... I was able to re-equip well enough afterword... but throwing away the things I had worked for was kind of a smack in the face!
