the only dex fix mentioned was daggers, no word
on bows, so possibly this as well[/list]

It is only the crossbows that are bugged not ordinary bows.

Actually the only problem left other than the silverite mine bug, than I can think of, is all the Vigilance and Sentinel set visual bug. Even stealing is going to be fixed when the patch comes out. Anything else I left out? Oh damnit yes there's also the naked bug at the beginning of the game I heard from a few others. Actually never heard of that one before until today.

It's not a bug, it was a choice made by Bioware not to add the dlc items and was announced a few weeks before the expansion was released. A few bugs I can think of still are:
  • the endings being buggy, "someone" being king when they shouldn't be, which carries over to awakenings
  • Jowan's Intention quest not showing up
  • Not getting the reward for shaperate quests (weapon)
  • the only dex fix mentioned was daggers, no word on bows, so possibly this as well

[*]the silverite mines bug...

Speaking of bugs and PC gaming...more often then not, end users are indeed at fault for game crashes simply because they don't know enough about their PC's to keep drivers properly updated.

That does not excuse the gameplay bugs like the Silverlight Mine equipment bug or various quest triggers not happening. It is hard to weed through the BS bug reports like "My game crashes so it must be DAO" vs. more in depth answers along with a DXDIAG summary.

Actually, there's value in reporting that you're not experiencing bugs, if you also report your system specs. The problem lies in implying that people that ARE experiencing problems are somehow at fault. There are definitely issues with the game, but reporting that you're not having crashes with certain system specs can also be of value.

I have trouble believing that anyone is playing through the game and not experiencing at least some of these reported bugs though.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but it doesn't always have to be user error in this case.  Sure the problem can be triggered by MODs, installed codecs, TSR processes running on the computer, etc., but it can also be an issue with system specs (hardware) if the game is refusing to work properly with them.

And I have a friend that says she gets none of these bugs in 1.03, so she's one of the few that isn't getting them.  She has said that she uses no MODs, but I explained that DLC are technically official MODs; she agreed to using MODs at that point, but nothing unofficial (her system specs can be found here).  I am told that both her & her husband have the same computer specs, although I haven't had a chance to ask him if he's getting any of these bugs yet.  If I am able to, I'll try to get them to post on the forums with further information.

Do you work for Bioware? If not, you should; at least as an "emissary" between customers and Bioware's best cheek!

Eurypterid has stated before that he does not work for BW; he's just a Moderator on the forums.  Even so, he should still be respected as a BW employee as he still has the authority to remove your posting privs.  This comment was not directed at you Behlgan, but anybody who finds that flaming is a good way to get stuff done around here.

Can I just ask a question to everyone who posts that their game is bug free?

If you have no bugs in your game...

Why are you posting here at all, since you obviously don't need the patch?

The build up and hype for this patch is bigger than the expansion pack. Seriously, with all these fixes it's gonna be almost like playing a sequel.

Haha yeah. Quote for truth Image IPB

And even if you don't experience bugs, its still a good idea to get every patch to keep your game up-to-date.

@Siegfried.m: he means that if you read the very first post in this thread (the changelog) it has a list of the added fixes since the last update at the top. stealing is the first one listed.

There are many outstanding bugs, of varying levels of severity. One patch is unlikely to address them all; we can only hope that the "major" ones get addressed.

The dog and steal were the same problem so it should work now.

And healing bugs?? you mean the +% heal??

On pc it was fixed with the 1.02 patch I think, but we never saw that on consoles. Adding dex does absolutely nothing to bows right now, bow damage is supposed to be modified by str and dex, but only str adds anything right now.

Will the sword we make in Awakening still look like the meteorite sword if warden's peak dlc is enabled?

Also, what about the black armor missing pieces for rogues in awakening?

Might be a double post, but the black armour for rogues is missing pieces (which I know you're aware of) in awakening, I'd love for my rogue to be able to wear the entire set, or at least have the option to.

Yes as Bubian said it would be nice to have all the pieces of armor. The black rogues armor is like the elven amour in DA:O, just not all there.

Apparently "+% healing received" uses the spellpower of the wearer to modify the healing. This makes it somewhat useless for warriors (and rogues), the ones most likely to be interested in it.

In Awakening, there are a number of bugs related to Yuriah that may or may not be interconnected.

Having rescued the frightened merchant during Assault on the Vigil, Yuriah’s stock updated to the first tier immediately, but has remained stuck there since. He did not upgrade after bringing in Armaas, nor did he after bringing in Lilith (I did it in that order). I had assigned the guard to protect the farmlands instead of the city/trade routes, if that is relevant at all. Even after Trade Must Flow is marked as complete, his stock remains stuck on the first upgrade, blocking access to a lot of stuff (My main gripe being the rune tracings).

Additionally, Lilith stands in between Herren and Wade and repeats her “thanks for bringing me here” dialogue each time. Upon completion, she vanishes, but changing locations and going back to the Vigil’s exterior makes her reappear in the exact same spot. Talking with her triggers the same dialogue again, with the same results, and so on and so forth.
