I hope in the fix of "play button unclickable" and in the "The game cannot launch because of a misconfiguration".

I read all forum and make all patch, c++, ecc but nothing :(

I only wait a holy patch.

I've been waiting for the Awakening patch fix. All these extra features are nice, but they need to get the fixes out now.

Agreed features are nice but fixing crash and game bugs are the most important, and should come first before anything else.

Ok, I'll bite. How exactly is the current list of posted fixes "extra features?" I see essentially a breakdown of about 50% game breakers, 35% mechanics/skills, and maybe ~10% "features" like the love letters.

I'd say their focus is so far in the right place.

True if they actually deliver the crash and memory leak fixes this time. Those issues have been plaguing DAO since the 1.01a patch, and just got worse after Awakenings was added. I just hope they made the game stable finally for Windows 7 and 64 bit OS's, and fixed persormance issues with I7 cpu's and such. Nothing is more frustrating than have major slowed load times and multiple crash bugs because of your OS, or having some of latest computer hardware.

Might be a double post, but the black armour for rogues is missing pieces (which I know you're aware of) in awakening, I'd love for my rogue to be able to wear the entire set, or at least have the option to.

@Bubian are you talking about the Backblade armour set for rogues, if you are well the High Dragon outside the mothers lair should drop it but it is bugged, I think there are Mods for it though.

Understood. I feel the same way about the dex bug on consoles....

Glad it's on the list but do you really, truly, honestly promise it'll get fixed this time? Pretty please.....!!!!!

Seriously, we're several months past the release of awakenings and I'm absolutely debaffled that a patch hasn't been released yet. At the same time, Bioware continues to roll out paid-for DLCs to nickel and dime us instead of using their whole resources to gives us a patch that coule let us enjoy what we already paid for.

And of course "we have no date for a release", same old same old. Looks like no lessons have been learned in the past few months. So much for the promises of clear and timely communication.
If Bioware doesn't up their game and re-learn some professionalism, even small companies like CD Projekt are going to eat them alive in the near future.

We're even more months past the release of Origins, and there are still plenty of outstanding issues with the base game. I understand (and share) your frustration, but it's been pretty well established that getting new content out the door is a higher priority than fixing old content. At least there is a substantive patch currently in development, with weekly status updates no less.

Well, at least the new gamers of DA:O are going to experience a more polished version of the game. It sucks for customers like me though who bought both Origins and Awakening exactly at their release dates. Let's hope that Dragon Age 2 will not require 20 patches to be playable and months to create them.

In Awakening, there are a number of bugs related to Yuriah that may or may not be interconnected.

Having rescued the frightened merchant during Assault on the Vigil, Yuriah’s stock updated to the first tier immediately, but has remained stuck there since. He did not upgrade after bringing in Armaas, nor did he after bringing in Lilith (I did it in that order). I had assigned the guard to protect the farmlands instead of the city/trade routes, if that is relevant at all. Even after Trade Must Flow is marked as complete, his stock remains stuck on the first upgrade, blocking access to a lot of stuff (My main gripe being the rune tracings).

Additionally, Lilith stands in between Herren and Wade and repeats her “thanks for bringing me here” dialogue each time. Upon completion, she vanishes, but changing locations and going back to the Vigil’s exterior makes her reappear in the exact same spot. Talking with her triggers the same dialogue again, with the same results, and so on and so forth.

I think they keep finding out about stuff as they make announcements of what they fixed. I think everyone here who reported a bug or malfunction should be offered a job as a tester.

Just so you know: PS3 firmware 3.40 broke Dragon Age again. It causes game freezes just like 3.30 before 1.02 patch.

Indeed.. I made 3 playthroughs of Awakening, one for each of my Wardens, when the game was still full of bugs...
Now all I can do when they'll release the patch is just to trash all the saved game and start all over again...

Loading times are still can be extremely long... This should have been the first thing they fix in 1.01. Other things don't count if you can't play.

At this point, talking about hoe bad BIO has handled the situation is not gonna bring anything new to the table. Pretty much everyone complained at least one about how long it has taken them todo this patch, i am pretty sure they are aware of it.

Asking for an ETA will again get you nowhere, if your fingers are twitching for action you can play mass effect 2 in the meantime. It is gonna be done when it is gonna be done and the the 10000 th time, i'd rather them take the time to get the job done right this time than doing a poor job and rush the patch out just to shut up a bunch of people just to have to repatch all over again because it was not polished enough again...

do you seriously want a rushed out patch and have to wait another 3 months after that or maybe wait a month and have a good patch that resolve most of the issues once and for all...think about that.

The patch is across the board for pc, ps3,xbox360 for those who do not read this thread from the start.

People should emphasize their discussion on what is broken rather than talk about silly things or have debates on macs vs pcs...If you complain enough about specific things, these might get fixed....like pick pocketing....that is what you need to complain about if you are gonna complain about something or give more info on the problems you run into...

nuff said for now...

I have a bug I'd like seen on this patch: Disapearing DLC. Its annoying and game breaking to have to jump through hoops in order to download/install/use the dlcs we are entitled to.
Just a few fixes that *do not* work for me:
1. DAUpadater Diagnostic Beta--reason: a main component for the Diagnostic Beta is not compatible with *any* Vista os.
2. Doing a DAZip download from this site--reason: my computer changes the format for the file to ZIP and will not allow me to change it before or after the download.
The cause for my problems with the DLC was upgrading to patch 1.03 Beforehand my dlcs would show up when I bought them. Now, even though I have the digital deluxe version, and have purchased every dlc up till today with the exception of the feastday gifts and pranks, not a single dlc is showing up as availiable to donwload, or in my download progress, or in my available content.

Also 1.03 seems to have caused me to be unable to play the Noble Human Origin. Its definately not related to mods or my use of the toolset, as I uninstalled *everything*, reinstalled up to 1.02, plus all the mods I had in before, and could play the Noble Human Origin. Upon upgrading to 1.03, I can no longer access my save in Castle Cousland nor start a new game with that background. The error message I get says: "Unable to Load Area."

Vista OS service pack 3
Nividia GeForce 9400 GT graphics card
Fully updated Nividia Driver

I do wonder if they will try to make the patch release date the same as the next dlc. Considering that for consoles dex is bugged, and stealing is as well for all platforms, having a dlc for a rogue character might not work that great.

On the other hand rushing the patch would be bad, just look at awakenings, which was obviously rushed. I stopped buying new content after RtO, been waiting for a real patch before I dust this game off again.

Seems like they're f*cked either way in regards to the patch release, if they release it too soon without proper testing just to get it out in time for the dlc and it has issues then the backlash will be quite severe I think after all this hype it's getting. If they wait, we'll most likely get a better patch, but at the cost of a later release, which will of course upset people buying the new dlc.

As much as I'd like to see this patch come out today, I'd rather they do a proper job and fix as much as possible, and properly test it across all platforms. I understand it is frustrating, but a few extra weeks of the game sitting on the shelf won't make much difference in the end. I've done my share of EA/Bioware bashing, but everyone deserves a second chance, and since I've been a fan since the BG series I figure I can give them a second chance, hopefully they make the best of it.

I agree with Bruno on this one, I would rather they make sure that the 1.04 patch works correctly and does not bust anything else because it was rushed.

I do hope that they will get the Elven Boots and Jowens Quest back in 1.04 before the release though.
