She locks you in the area with al these traps and I've made it through so far but am running out of health potions and accidentally went over the save I was keeping prior to getting locked in (plus it would be a fair bit to replay if I did).
I have Morrigan, Leilana, Oghren and my Warrior.
I'm stuck at the floating head thing with the four spirit dwarves.... I'm guessing you have to blast the faces with the spirit anvils .. once turns the eyes from glowing white to back but I presume you have to do them again since I've done all 4 and nothing happens and the thing keeps shotting black stuff at us.
And is there any way to control which anvils are äctivated... sometimes they all do, sometimes only one. It's really frustrating because I get close but usually run out of health potions and with no way out I'm almost tempted to delete the character.

I used the one in front every time.
Also, remember that there are five auto-saves. You might want load one of those.

it took me a while to beat that, i kept all my party back out of the blood shot range, and went for the first one each time like Maria did. also the...uhh... next part... i had to set on easy. i was with the same party, and i made morrigan cc/dmg. you dont want to know how many pots iv drank...

5 auto saves? Not on Xbox 360.. just the 1, and it auto saved as I enter the area!
And the one in front isn't always active so you can use it .... usually it's just one anvil that is active at a time though sometimes it's more than one.
Am I glitched?

Got past and are up to where you were talking about ... may have to dial back the difficulty too as my health potions are pretty much what's in the chests from leaving the previous area. Got to the bit where she's the last one and she suddenly duplicates herself and i'm like "you have got to be kidding me?"

I'm usually well stocked on health potions but as stated in my original post I accidentally went over the save I was keeping prior to being locked into this area... I have no way to change my party or resupply any longer till I resolve this area. This is about the last thing I have to do before going to landsmeet in Denerim with Eamon so would be really a pain to have to restart.
Other option would be to dial back to Normal and see if that makes a difference.... or even Easy if need be!

I've played the Anvil of the Void on Hard up until the Branka part. The hell with that. I had a hard enough time with the spirit stonefaces myself and employed the hold team, attack one spirit and activate one anvil strategy.
But getting to Branka was impossible on Hard especially since you can't change team members and are stuck with what you got. I've got so annoyed by Branka that I gave up and put it on casual/easy. It's nearly impossible on hard. She's strong, powerful attacks, Golem henches, duplicates later on, and then avalanches as if she wasn't difficult enough. I was swearing at the game designers in my head.
Even though switching to casual helped me move along, I found it cheap as though you can just beat this game easily without the frustrations and challenges.
