I have the problem with the game just showing a black screen for a short moment before crashing and windows showing the "ME2 has encountered a problem...." message.
I have read through the forum and have tried a variety of things with no success.
Some info:
I have the dvd version of ME2.
I have installed it and patched to 1.02
I'm running WinXP 32 SP3.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 Dual Core
MB: A8n32-SLI-Deluxe Nforce 4
GFX: Dual GeForce 8800 GT (current driver ver. 257.21)
Sound: Realtek AC97
RAM: 2GB
I have installed DirectX, C++ redistributable, new drivers for audio, video (tried both latest and older ones for that), made sure both cores are recognised by system AND game.
No result whatsoever.
I am really desperate by now, as I have not been able to play a single second of the game.
Could some knoledgeable person please lend a hand?
