I scout with my rogue stealthed then when I encounter something..get him position then brig up the tank and the rest to aggro ..bring rogue around for BS /crits..makes for fast combats

Survival can handle most of your scouting needs without forcing meticulous micro-managing. And by the second play-through, you'll probably know where most of the deadlier ambushes and traps are.

Stealth is excellent. Most of my characters are rogues, and I bring Zevran along, so I can position both my char, and him right up on the two heaviest damage dealers, let them simul-stab, engage Dirty Fighting, and in a few more critical hits, they're both down and the other two party members are in mopping up the stragglers.
