Actually, to be honest, I thought nearly all the squaddie intros in ME2 were quite well-done. Dramatic, and all that.
But Garrus and Thane >>>> the others. With the emphasis on Garrus and the unmasking.

No....i dont have issues. I rightfully embrace my turian obsession.

@outmane: Ah yes. Garrus is "snarky" with those we doesnt like. for example - He snapped at Miranda when she wanted to lead the fireteam. [if jack isnt around.]

I see kai and Garrus being friends to a mutual point. They seemed to get along in me1 quite well. Though Im interested to see how they act towards each other in me3. I had Garrus with me on horizon, so he got front row seat to his rash and harsh words towards Shep. I bet Kai will interact with garrus than vice versa. Even possibly question on how Shep was during me2 since Garrus was with her.  If Garrus was romanced [and shep not with kaiden in me1] then Kaiden might actually say that what he did was wrong and that he accepts them together? Pretty much state the fact he wasnt there for her while he was no matter what. Or garrus might say that. Idk. I always pegged Kaiden to be open-minded so i dont see him objecting to Shep in a relationship with a turian. Though IF shep is in a Kai-Garrus love triangle, let the tensions and accusations fly! I want to see Garrus stand up to Kaiden and defend his relationship with Shepard. He isnt the type to let bygones be bygones. Like u said - Garrus knows how to push buttons. ESPECIALLY if his buttons are being pushed.

and Yesh- Thanes entrance left me in awe. He just dropped down and BAM-everyone dead and hes praying with the sunset from out the window.
Legion is also a fav.

OMG I LOVE LEGION. i want a Legion romance. Seriously. Am I sick for that? lol.

and yes. the unmasking. I nearly died. Even though I knew it was him. SO HOT. and NO you are so NOT the only one looking south. I totally noticed that. and stared at it. and ... am. yes.

I was on the Motivational board and there were some rude people on there a couple weeks ago who were all grossed out by people who are turned on by turians/other aliens. i wanted to punch them. *growls* i embrace my xenophelia. all of my friends know and well, just kinda pat me on the head.

Out of the ppl in the game - Sure - Garrus wasnt there from the "start" [though close enough] or during the normandy being destroyed [not like joker] but hes there's when it counts. And not because he HAS to be, but because he WANTS to be. & that in itself speaks volumes above all else in my book.

Are you serious.....its not bestiality! These are actual beings. Proper word would be "racist". And even then its STILL WRONG! If someone made out with a varren....or a pyjak. Fine - bestiality it is. But we're talking turians.....quarians....drell etc. They are civilized beings, not straight up amazonian primal beasts! I swear, I actually have a friend who thinks this way unfortunately. He would rather date Ashley, or Miranda JUST because they are human. Thats it. Oh and theyre "hot". I tested him. Told him 2 options!

A) A woman who likes literature, dislikes aliens, tomboyish soldier, speaks her mind freely, back u up in the beginning. BUT leaves u at a time you REALLY need her - practically calls u a traitor, and brakes your heart. Tries to make it up to you.....in an email. Not in person.
A woman who is a tech savy, shy, intelligent engineer. Would leave her own civilization to help you in your cause, team up with u even though your working with a cooperation that she disdains, all because she trusts u and would even go as far as to risk dying to spend one night with you.

Its not that its about a video game romance - it just shows what some people are really like. And its sad to think some people are like that, being close-minded to something that doesnt have to be.

If anything, it would actually be "specisist." or yeah. xenophelia. They are sentiant humanoid beings. *shrug* people are idiots. Thats why i hate most of them.

and yeah, if I were to meet Garrus in real life, and if he were exactly as he was in game? i'd fall for him in a heartbeat. turian or no.

and to be fair? the email that Ash and KaiKai send you ... isn't even really a "make it up to you" sort of email. its almost like an I'm sorry I was an ass but I'm still right sort of email. totally not worth it.

I know he is. and i'm sad about this. but what can ya do. people are entilted to their opinions, i just wish they would do it more quietly and less offensively and just let me live my life how i want. if i choose to find an alien race attractive then so be it. *shrug* .

Embrace it! WOO! And I have friends who accept this from me from me as well. I have Garrus as my cellphones background and theyre perfectly fine with it! Of my friends, only guys have played mass effect, but they all love Garrus for their femshep files. and tali for their maleshep! Makes me proud. Particularly one of my best friends is about the start getting into the Mass effect series [heh...i corrupted him ]  and although he doesnt know much about the characters, he already likes Garrus because he knows how popular he is. He sees him as a badass without even really knowing him...YET. He was in the bioware skype group and teased us bout garrus, in the good wayXD Saying he'd get me a bday cake with garrus on it :3 another friend sometimes looks at my cellphone and says garrus is awesome. I have good taste.

Btw: to anyone who dislikes interspecies relationships......Beware - garrus has his own persuasion skills.....

Hi, Garrus thread! It's been a while.

I feel so lucky, my friends are completely cool with my Turian infatuation, even the ones who haven't played ME. Sure they tease me from time to time but it's out of love. They're supportive of all my interests.

Are there any fics out there where Thane (being all perceptive) gets Garrus to admit that he has feelings for Shepard and then encourages/convinces him to do something about it?

Hahahaha. Garrus become the next Turian Councilor.

Of course I would support him, but not the idea. I really can't see him on the Council. I bet he would hate it there, and (as we spoke a few pages back) I don't see Garrus to be good a paper work and stuff. Plus, I think he hates/dislikes politics also...

Oh no, the Turian councillor is awesome, he must keep his seat! If he got the boot, then the entire Council would need to go the same way, since they all participate in the "no Reapers" facade. And I also doubt Garrus would ever want to become a politician.

Ah only 2 days of exams left . (currently revising biology with my inner monologue sounding like mordin...)

Anyways I squeed when garrus took off his helmet in ME2 even though I didn't who he was. (i played me2 first D: ) I even thought I'd done something wrong when he got hit in the face with the missile.

And the turian councillor cant lose his job D: hes the only reason I save the council...
But I doubt garrus would ever want that job too much paper work and such.
