d'awwww. No Garrus on the council. Turian councilor is awesome! He can't be replaced. Besides, Garrus would be miserable as a councilor. Look at Anderson. He hated it. Men of action need action, not paperwork.

Those high res shots are awesome. I'm still convinced that his eye colour is green although most fanfic/fanart says blue. Teal maybe or aqua perhaps.

leonia, don't we have Garrus's eyecolor on here? hasn't it been posted many times? its somewhere between blue and green. yes, everyone says its blue.

Yeah, I've looked at the texture heaps of times and my brain still says "green". Certainly not the same green as Nihlus, Valern, or Chellick but it's not exactly blue like Saren or Pallin. That's always bothered me a little.

Oh I know the colour: jade.

Yes, minor details like that are important to me.

 So, in my search to find the above screencap... I found this. and it made me facepalm.   It's someones rendition of 'who should play people in the ME world.'  and .... look what they did to Garrus.

I'm shaking my head at most of their choices, but Vin Diesel as Saren? Barf.

And if Garrus is completely CGI, why the heck change his voice? Anyone other than Brandon Keener would be blasphemy.

Well... I don't find turians in general particularly attractive except aesthetically. (Which isn't the same as sexually.) I find Garrus attractive because of his personality and his voice. I can forgive a lot about a person's looks if the personality is awesome.

It is not, however, bestiality.

I assume if they were doing motion capture that Keener would be..keen.. to play Garrus if at all possible. He seems to be as much of a fanboy as the rest of us.

He probably doesn't get a lot of opportunities to play the action hero.  He doesn't fit the Hollywood type.  (Which type is actually the opporsite of what Special Forces actually wants for their soldiers.)

Somehow, Garrus seems so weird in red and black armor (don't remember the name of that model). It always bothers me when I find an armor with superior stats and it looks ridiculous. Never mind the fact that you don't want to wear bright colors that scream target practise during combat, but I want my squaddies' armor to match their complexion.  And personality.

I think that's the light Colossus armor. I use the medium one for him:

Red is so not his colour. I much prefer putting him in the Predator M (which is green camo) than in Colossus (which I think is pictured there, red and black) even if Colossus has better damage protection. Can't cramp his style.

It's my biggest turn off from the loyalty armour (red inside the collar) and the alternate appearance armour (while I love the colours and the lights, the red accents kill it for me). He should stick to black, blues, and occasionally green (in moderation).

Yes! Those red accents spoil otherwise perfect look. Especially the red eyepiece. Although Garrus ends up wearing it anyway in my playthroughs, because I don't want him to run around in broken armor. That's not sensible. Or safe.

I think that's akin to putting an unhardened Alistair on the throne. I'd feel so guilty and I imagine he'd make me drag him kicking and screaming.

If poor Velarn ended up being replaced (which I hope not. Come on, he's the only one with any personality aside from the human councilor), I'd vote for either another unknown turian politician or, if it HAD to be a turian we know, the only person I could think of is Lork Qui'in. He understands underhandedness and bureaucratic bull.

RE: Garrus' eye color. It's a marbled mix of yellows, greens, blues and grays. So beautiful. If I had to call it one color, I'd call it aqua/teal rather than blue or green. Though in reality it's so speckled it's hard to call it one color. I like to go with 'cool tone spectrum'.
