Not sure if you're missing my point....  the aliens can give consent and even reciprocate, animals can't.

Neither are aliens.  Equating humans to aliens in your comparison turns every romantic act to bestiality.  Aliens are not animals, neither are we, for the purposes of this definition.  Sapience precludes it.

Why are you arguing this, anyway?

I think we can consider aliens as persons. That definition differentiates between persons and animals, so it obviously means non-person animals

Hmmm Garrus.....in politics?.......That doesnt compute with my brain XD If he cant stand just being in security, what makes you think he can stand being on the actual council!? I support the idea totally. But i REALLLLLLYYYY dont see it happening. Garrus hates politics. I quote "Dam politicians...". Really? I somewhat thought the same since the 3 options for fireteam are Garrus, Jacob and Miranda. If Garrus objects when Jack isnt around, then i would think Jacob would if Garrus isnt around. [Which is blasphemy because who in their right mind would allow Garrus to get killed. Seriously ;P]

If Jacob is gone.....my next guess is Tali? Since she doesnt trust cerberus.

I'm sure Jacob does trust her, but he also knows her well enough to know her limitations.  A suicide mission makes him brave enough to speak up about that if no one else is going to.

The first time I lost 1/2 of the team, included my LI. But I saved Garrus and take him 'till the Human Reaper.

Nobody died on my first PT either.

I sent Legion into the vents because he seemed the best equipped to handle the heat, and I knew I'd care the least if he died.
I made Garrus team leader both times because I believe in him and wanted him to succeed!
I had Samara do the barrier because she's a matriarch.
I made Jacob do the escort because he seemed like the perfect balance of reliable and expendable.

I'm lucky that it worked out that those were all 'right' choices, since my reasoning wasn't always based on logic.

Seriously though, I thought it was pretty obvious who most of the choices were. I was confused when I came on the boards and everyone talked about how hard it was and wondered why Zaeed of all people wasn't a choice for team leader. Zaeed?! ::shakes head::
