EDIT 2: I know this isn't Garrus, but this was in my dA box this morning, and I find it most impressive.

Holy hanar, that is GORGEOUS.
(it's got too little Garrus, as you say, but gorgeous...the style is breathtaking!)

edit: top!  Have an art-gallery Garrus:

SPEAKING of our esteemed friends at Clan Z and related threads, I sent my application to join said group, and have not recieved word back yet.

You actually already are a member, funnily enough. Don't know how you didn't get a message.

Oh.  Well, THANKS BIOWARE.  *kicks BSN*

It's been REALLY finicky of late, so perhaps that has something to do with the lack of message?  Thanks for looking into it, Michael. <3

It's all good, she credited me and I thanked her for the nod.

Phew! Good to hear. I was starting to regret opening my big mouth.

You know, even without receiving explicit credit, I'd feel flattered if someone did a comic after my fanfic...? But I can see how it could be upsetting too. Dunno.

I wonder where she's going with the dream thing.

I feel flattered as hell.  Especially since she said she did read it and I did influence her.  I'm going to have to tell people who read Loved to go visit her. ;)

But... I've been stolen from before.  Blatantly.  They lifted an entire scene, dialogue and all,  from Loved for a post on Masskink.  I'm a little paranoid now.  I know I don't own the characters or the world, but the blood, tears and sweat are all mine.

Not surprised.  That comic? Stole the entire scene from Loved.

I wouldn't mind, if there wasn't a note somewhere saying, "inspired by."

I'll probably get a zillion emails from her fans telling me I'm a terrible person.  Who the hell steals FANFIC?

Late to the party (sorry, doing some testing for an indie game developer this week), but I'll tell you who likes to steal fanfic: People who don't have any ideas of their own, and/or people who mean well, and don't know how to give credit where it's due.

In fact, I'll come out and say it: Misty is NOT a fan of ErsbethShadowsong (did I spell it right?) because a LOT of dialogue/situational setup is eerily similar to some of our collaborative work. *ahem*

Interesting.  Very interesting.  :bandit:

Sia, it's probably small comfort, but remember that no one steals crap.
It's an unintentional (and utterly misguided) compliment. In a way. :/

Here's one of my only two attempts at art, both using Paint.

Honestly, I've thought the same thing in the past. I've been told that it is horrid.. but it really is almost a backwards compliment.

also, kg, what an adorable picture! :D

The sad part is, I found that by Googling my screen name and a few other keywords (my old HD with the picture fried)...it's out there where anyone could find it, should they be sufficiently desperate. XD

Honestly, one of the very hardest parts of making art is just getting over the mental block of 'I can't/not good enough'. Making art is a declarative thing; you're asserting yourself over blank paper/canvas/pixels. It is always a good thing to do! KG, your arts make me grin.

Less seriously, I just had the randomest turian musing come to mind. Mandibles. We always see them move together as a mirrored pair, right? Always/almost always? D'ya suppose with some concious effort a turian could move his mandibles independently of one another, like one going up and one going down, or one holding still while he waves the other around?

.....yeah.... I do not know what prompted this.

I think maybe they could...sort of like humans raising one eyebrow and not the other.
(and thanks, I was actually trying to be adequate with the Garrus picture, while the other one was just for snicks, hehe)

now i'm thinking about it and its making me a bit dizzy, while making me giggle. lol. i know people that can do that with their ears... could be the same, just really fine muscle movements.

Right? I'm thinking they probably could, too! I... kinda want to see it happen?

I keep reaching new points in this fandom where I'm like, 'OK, MoonEcho. Now you've lost it. You're officially crazy.' This... is the latest in that series of points. XD

Craziness = creativity, if you ask me.
Which...does nothing to explain my lack of creativity. LOL

I imagine the muscles that make turians' mandibles twitch are similar to the ones we use for blinking. So maybe a singular mandible twitch is like a wink; a cheeky, flirtatious move that isn't commonly employed by serious or gruff types, as most turians seem to be. :P

Ooooor, maybe I'm way off base.
