Here's a link to an IGN preview of ME3. Look closely and you'll notice the words "Krogan Princess" come up. Princess, as in female.
Since they're going to do female Krogans, I think the chances of female Turians appearing in ME3 are looking pretty damn good right now.

But that krogan is the envoy to the female camp. Most people assume it's a male. Anyway, we're getting a full on princess in ME3 so, the chances of female aliens of all species just went up considerably.

I'll take your word for it.  I'm a console plebe.

As long as they don't pull the same joke for turians and salarians.  A salarian female should be bigger and tougher than the male.  Going with the whole amphibian thing. 

And given that turians are just funny looking, warlike humans, the differences in male and female should be as pronounced as humans.  IMHO.

i am fairly certain that .. if turians are more like raptors (the bird, not the dinosaur or apocalypse) then the females should be slightly smaller and a bit darker than the males, but thats reallyabout it. i hope that they look similar. seems especially in the culture that they live in, with the equality that they have... they'd be similar.

also... i'mma assume they're smaller due to the 'reach vs flexibility' comment.

He was supposed to be a surprise in Mass Effect 2, I think. That's why he didn't get any attention in the trailers, etc.  But now he is confirmed as a permanent squaddie in ME3, so that means he will probably more obvious in the trailers, etc.

I hope if female turians are shown they'll look like how they do from the comics. They look exactly the same except females lack the regal looking head fringe, which makes sense if they're supposed to be similar to avians. Boys are prettier than the girls.

That ME3 screenshot made my eyes water with anticipation. I'm losing it.

In other news, Interregnum was updated a few days ago, now at staggering 195 000 words. I just hope it gets finished; judging from the state of the plot, it's not even half way there.

For those who don't know, it's a mega-ambitious work about Archangel and his team. I think there will be an arc for each of the "confirmed kills" from Garrus' LotSB dossiers.

There are some great ideas in there, there's humor (at times, it goes a bit over the top), there are good dialogs and detailed (at times, too detailed) action scenes.

Some parts are a bit boring, but there are also gems of character insight scattered about. And, amazingly, no sexual tension! The team is all men. A bold move; leaves the text somewhat dry, but I respect the decision. There's enough Garrus shipping on FFN to last us an asari lifetime.

All in all, a good read.
