@Bolboreta: I really like that! There won't be Reapers forever (as I'm sure Shep will obliterate them in ME3), but I do see those two spending their lives in service of the general galactic good like that. It's just who they are!

@Bolboreta: An interesting idea. In a way the Citadel has its own fleet though, since it uses the military of Council races.

@Aris, yes, I suppose that, but I would like something more organized, an actual Galactic Fleet. Shepard could be Admiral one day, she totally knows how to work with aliens Garrus is very good at leading too, so he deserves a good rank

id like to see Shep and Garrus still working together after ME3. as equals (spectres or something new like that interspecies space fleet). They have a very good working relationship and i know thats pretty unique (most couple working together either become very strong or break fast from what i saw).

Babies could come one day. Maybe keeping a child she and Garrus saved on a mission when they feel like retirering. I really cant say. Id have to make up more of their adventures to decide what shell feel like doing in 10 years. By then i wont be deciding what my Shep does anymore, its too far off.

ME3 being the last part of a triology, the writers really have the freedom to be more specific and offer many epilogues, since they dont have to enact any of them. With that they should have their hands free to give us clear romantic and friendship arcs.

As much as i dont want my Shep who romanced Garrus to end up with a 'maybe', i would be pissed by endings for those who just friended him going like 'they jsut went their separate way'. This isnt DA2. Some of those characters will have been with Shep for 3 games.

I also hope whatever comes after ME3 doesn't rewrite any of our endings like DA2 did with DA:O. If Shepard disappears into a void for the sake of convenience, I will be very annoyed.

Right. What I mean is, I don't want any new games with new heroes to mention how Shepard sailed off through a secret relay, leaving their LI behind, just so the love interests can have meaningless cameos and they don't have to explain why Shepard isn't there to save the day instead of Newbie PC.

They did it to Revan in KOTOR2. And they did it to the Warden in DA2. I'm already dreading DA3 for that very reason. I'm not going to be pleased to find out that my Hawke has walked off into the mists and Fenris hasn't seen her in years. <_<

Yeah, call me a sucker for happy endings but think our Shepards deserve the optional happy ever after with our alien sweethearts.

But for the next ME game I hope and think that the story of Shepard and the reapers is over. Time to play as the alien race of choice (turian in other words) hopefully.

Unfortunately, I'm not confident we'll ever get that choice. I think we're doomed to play boring human PCs forever. Unless of course they made a ME MMO.

According to what I see here, 9 am Pacific Daylight Time, so about 3.5 hours from now.

Also: Lucky.  I've got hard deadlines coming up for reviews of Lego Pirates and LA Noire, so guess what I'll be doing until the feeds fire up?  <_<

Could be worse! You could just sit there with nothing to do for hours and hours, waiting patiently.. oh the agony.

Actually, I think I'm going to use this block of free time to work on some RP I'm doing with my TOR guild.. with both new TOR and ME3 info coming in today, it feels appropriate.

Frankly, the best way they could end it is the same way they ended Stargate SG-1, with just the hint of further advantures. Something like Shepard and her LI standing in the cockpit behind Joker (if Joker's the LI ~finger's crossed~ it's just her and him), and giving the orders, "First star on the right, straight on till morning."

And NOTHING FURTHER.

Im all for a clear setting update, just dont tell me what my Shep will be up to. The only exception to that is having the choice of the organization ill be working with (Spectres, Alliance, Cerberus, new one, retired, freelance etc) and knowing what my LI is up to (Spectre would suit Garrus pretty well in my head. Even Tali if she matures a bit in the third game. But for the likes of Jack or Thane, just a picture of them in a cockpit doesnt say much. I mean they arent part of the military and it would be weird if all LIs started suddenly acting like so)

But all we need is just an indication they're still WITH Shepard.  Anything further is for fic. And the cockpit is just an example.  They could watch the sunset on Illium, for all I care.  The point is the hint of future adventures.  NOT what KOTOR 1 & 2 did to Revan and the Exile.

As to how Shepard shaped the galaxy she saved, well.... Bioware will probably be forced to ignore a great deal of her actions.

 I havent played KOTOR, just DA.  What i was hinting at is in DAO you get to ask your companions what their plans are for the future and you can comment on them, say youll join them or invite them to stay with you for more adventures. There are also epilogue cards which i dont love but the idea of an epilogue to show the state of the galaxy would be nice. In DA2 all you get is 'your companions stayed with you for a while and eventually went their separate way except for <insert name of LI here>'. And im not shortening it, thats all they actually say about your companions. One sentence.
