@Collider: Yeah, it might be difficult, but I wish there would be lines for it. In my canon playthrough Shep ended up catching Jack, which I liked because I kept wanting to get her to like me. :< I'd love it if she mentioned it in ME3.

hey my canon has Garrus and Jack too ^_^
My canonShep isnt big on cerberus and since Samara was all taped out after holding the shield, i chose Jack as my biotic squaddie. It was my first playthrough and i didnt know what the last fight would be like or that there was some catching involved. I was very pleased by the result.

Garrus will only pull Shep onto the normandy if Thane or Jack is the other squaddie.
I had Garrus & Miranda with me in the final match. I had garrus for both fireteam leaders and i wanted to be greedy and finally have him with me! i missed him. he ws always on the other team. In the end im like "NO! Youre with me now! u did ur job and u did it well" 8P Besides i think garrus would be mad if he missed out on the final battle XD

miranda? .....i thought it wouldve been important - story wise- to have her there. I thought tim might do something or say something. And guess what - He DID! im not a huge miranda fan, but ill admit - I LOVED how miranda quit cerberus XD I caught garrus but miranda pulled me up onto the normandy. I REALLY had hoped garrus wouldve pulled me up >.> But oh well.....
Normally as my 2nd squaddie i would have Thane, Tali, or Mordin.

Imma leave this here for you guysPosted Image i just LOVE this art so much. Plus id thought id share.

I took Jack with me everywhere on my first/canon run except when I had to take someone else (Garrus always had the first spot, obviously). I don't even know how it happened, I didn't think I'd like her at all but I just kept bringing her along. By the end of the game she was one of my favorites. My canon!Shep doesn't trust Cerberus, but my canon characters are always zen jedi goodie-goodies, so she gave Jacob and Miranda the benefit of the doubt.
I brought Jack at the end because I wanted her to be a part of it and not just a peripheral member of the team.

If we get squad banter in ME3, I think I'll be most interested to hear Jack's conversations. I have a feeling we'll hear some antagonism and disdain from her rivalling the likes of HK-47 and Shale. xD

I know this has nothing to do with what y'all are talking about but...what would we say are those Turian erogenous zones, Mordin mentions.

It's near impossible to guess considering the fact that we have no idea how much plating there is or where it is. :<

I've seen lots of comments over the months about the area at the back of the neck/behind the fringe, but I don't know if that's a theory on erogenous zones so much as the fangirls wanting to get their hands on dat fringe. :P

So...it was first working on the mako, then calibrations. What will be Garrus's excuse for not talking to us this time?

Hello there, fellow fans of Garrus...
I had a question that's been poking at me for quite some time, so I decided to drop by and ask it here (it's the most obvious place to get a clear answer)...

This is the question: Has it ever been stated (at any point in the games or through the devs, it doesn't matter) what's Garrus' colony of origin?
We know all Turians (aside form the "barefaced") have colonial markings painted on their faces as a sign of belonging and allegiance, this applies to Garrus too, but do they actually ever said what colony the Vakarian family comes from? I personally don't remember it ever being mentioned... :(

I hope they'll mention it at least in passing in ME3, if I have to chose, I really hope he is from Taetrus *crosses fingers*, since the Facinus incident mentioned in CDN makes for some interesting further character development...
Who's with me? :D

Garrus was born on Palaven, not a colony planet. Thus, his markings are presumably the Palaven markings. :)

@Mr.BlazenGlazen: Well, we know at least it won't be calibrations. Didn't they say that in twitter, less calibrations?

Thanks for the quick answer! I hoped he might have been from Taetrus, still being from the actual Turian Homeworld is probably even more awesome... :)

BTW, Just remembered we actually know the Vakarians are on Palaven since Solana is there when Garrus calls her... Sorry, I had forgotten about that... :P

EDIT: It also suddently occurred to me that if you bring Garrus on Therum he says "And I thought Palaven was hot...", guess this nails down the fact he has at least been there for some time, so I guess it's feasible he was born there...

True, but since their dad worked at C-Sec they could have just moved there when he retired. I'm fairly sure he was raised or at least born on Palaven though.

Still, it would be nice to hear about Taetrus. I thought that was one of the more interesting CDN stories. But I think the turians will have too much on their plate to mention it. :( Maybe an easter egg or something?

I shouldn't think every turian who lives on Palaven has the same markings, I assume the tradition of clan markings comes from before the turains entered the space age, so there would be many different clans on Palaven with different markings.

From the Codex: "Since the Unification War, turians normally wear elaborate facial tattoos marking their colony of origin, though it is not known which markings distinguish which colony."

Since it was referring to the colonized planets, it sounds like the tradition originated after they had discovered space travel. Because of this I would assume Palaven itself wouldn't even have facial markings, but the fact that being 'barefaced' is some sort of stigma would indicate Palaven adopted their own as well.

If we see a large number of Palaven turians in ME3, I doubt they'll all have the same markings, though I think it would be interesting if they did (since it would show the whole relation to planet of origin in action). At the very least I doubt every single turian you run across on Palaven was born there.

EDIT:  Rather, that quote was from the Mass Effect wiki. I believe it's a direct codex quote, but I'm not sure.

Interesting that a tradition like that should have begun so recently in their culture.

I haven't been on in a looong time. BUT. Allow me to say:

I never got the Kinect. But now, as I've been telling my husband to "not get me anything" for Christmas or birthdays since ME2 came out (so I could ask for ANYTHING I want for my next b-day, namely ME3 and a couple days of uninterrupted play) I have added the Kinect to my wish list. I get a girlish squee thinking about ordering Garrus around on the battlefield.

.........and speaking the 'cue lines' for the romance. Awwwww riiiight.

Childish? Immature? Maybe. Awesome? YES. Thank all that is good for an understanding husband.

Anyway, hi again!

If there's no "Garrus, take off your shirt" line then the kinect just isn't for me (not that I want to feel obligated to buy an XBOX 360 anyway but yeah).

Welcome back to the thread!

^I think PC will have voice command too.

Unless Bioware said something otherwise.
Also is there any real use of Kinect for ME3?

leonia, I have to agree. That would be so great. "Garrus, why are you still wearing pants?"
Although, I could forsee me confusing the hell out of the game. Yelling "Yes! Garrus, I love you!" when he does something awesome is not exactly a tactical command he can obey.

Heh, given how often I actually do yell at my monitor while playing..

"Garrus stop stealing my kills!"
"Hey don't take credit for that headshot, that was mine!"
"Why can't I hug you."
"Why are you not using your sniper rifle.. oh"
"Stop wasting my medi-gel!"
"Niiice shot."

Hm, if the voice-recognition can be done on the PC then what's the point of making it a kinect feature at all?

Just had my chance at the Garrus litho. Clicked buy. Was all happy... until my bank card denied it! Please excuse me while I find a dark corner to wail in. DX

Anyone else get lucky?
