...does the turian counselor count? 

Saren is male....  there is no way that Saren is not male. ....I would not believe that for a second.

I do love the manly male alpha male Saren for his manliness so I prefer him as a male obviously. That said a female Saren is a very pleasing thought....

For some reason, the female turian head at the top reminds me of the desire demon from DA:O...

Saren is referred to as a 'he' through ME1 and the books, so I think you just have some wishful thinking Hellbound .
