I am actually one of the few weird people who was drawn to Garrus because I thought he looked awesome and not for his personality.

Well we are in the same boat, though for me it was Turians in general.

I'm one of the ones sitting in the boat hoping to see female Turians in ME3

Yea, I liked turians in general I think Garrus, Nihlus, Saren, Gavorn, and some random NPCs all look really cool. Never got the Lorik thing though...

Also I think turians in cargo pants are riotously funny for some reason.

I thought they were cool-looking. Didn't actually think "hawt" at Nihlus or any other turian. And now that we know more about turians, how ODD does Saren look?

Now that Garrus is Meg's guy, though... looking at them entirely differently.

Saren is not my type. He looks weird and his voice is weird too but Nihlus.....that voice, that "aura" RAWR!
I think, it's that animalistic instinct, isnt it?

I don't think of them as actually that animalistic.  And fics are starting to annoy me when they turn him into little better than a fully shifted werewolf.

He's an evolved species whose people have been a spacefaring race longer than we've believed the Earth was round.    I'm pretty sure they're over that crap by now.

Yea, don't even get me started on crappy fanfic. I actually am one of the ones who think turians are probably pretty animalistic in the uh...physiology department but not in the cultural department. That is just silly.

Don't tell Garrus, but I also realized recently that Sidonis has very lovely eyes.

I find Sidonis' face one of the prettiest in the game. After Garrus, of course :P

And welcome, delurker ;)

Exactly.  Physically, they're still "primitive" enough to need a gizzard, but that doesn't translate to territorial and aggressive.

I still don't see Garrus as a biter.  Posted Image

I never understood that weird "turian males are territorial" thing that you get in so much fanfic. If anything, I'd say  turians would be the opposite. What with military training for all turians and them tending to shelve their personal desires for the good of the group. I think turian males would probably be way less territorial than human males. They'd probably almost have some kind of pack instinct (not intending to shift back into werewolf territory here.) I mean that I don't think they would have this really powerful concept of personal space and dominance and whatnot. They would need to know how to shelve those impulses to work effectively in a military group. I think turians are probably pretty social at least in a "works very well on a team" sort of way.

I could see this given that aw, darn how do I put this....um, turian bone structure seems to make certain positions more feasible than others and in some carnivorous type creatures certain stances often involve biting.  I'll just leave it at that.  I don't necessarily think this IS the case just that I can kinda see where it MIGHT be the case.

Well in that case you are at the right place, we love female turians around here. Personaly I want more though: A romanceable female turian.

I agree.  I think they're closer to the "Good of the many outweighs the good of the one," ideal the Vulcans are so proud of.

I see what you're saying, and that's certainly a possibilty.

I've just read more than one fic where Shepard has multiple scars from it.  Which suggests to me that Garrus has this compulsion he can't control and it just strikes that "turians are primitive" nerve.

Um, here's my gutter mind at work again. If Garrus chafes what exactly would a turian female do to a male human? There's some really scary scenarios I can imagine.

That reminds me, there's a Kaidan/female turian story on the kinkmeme that I haven't read yet.  Posted Image

Oh boy. Also how would that "no boobs" thing factor in for guys? I have yet to meet a guy who didn't go for boobs.

Garrus thread has officially hit its "weird topic of the day award" time.

I would of thought no boobs would be a given since its a mammal thing.

I've seen some female turian fan art and all the pieces that included breasts have just really bug me, a lot. It just doesn't look right.

No boobs is what I'd expect.

I wrote an imaginary conversation between Kaidan, Garrus and Joker once.

K: So, really... why DO you find her attractive?

G: Are you telling me you don't?

K: Of course not, she gorgeous. But I'm the same species...

G: Well, her waist is very supportive and her hair is nice. *pause* I've also developed an appreciation for boobs.

J: ~wiping an imaginary tear~ Our little boy is all grown up!
