I'm fairly into the whole Mayan religion...   and I really love a shirtless turian. Something about that picture though.. just wigs me out. lol.  i dunno.

now. that said...  OMG I WANT BABY TURIANS.  lol.  when Shepard and Garrus are all old n stuff. 
nah.. who am I kidding, most of my Shepards are never gonna settle down. Warriors to the end and all.   Though, I can imagine one or two that will want the pitter patter of tiny turian feet. (probably NEVER human feet though) 
i just dislike children, so by default my Shepard does too.

I'm undecided one way or another. I personally wouldn't write about them (as of this moment) but nor do I find them abominable and refuse to read any fan-fic that includes them, in fact two of my favourite stories feature them.

....yup. its very true. and i really don't apologize for it either. I am actually rediculously nice and sociable in the really real world too, honestly. i'm just a misanthrope who is agoraphobic. takes awhile for me to get used to and thus like most people.

Why would anyone want a hybrid baby? Sorry, but I do find that abominable. I talked about this with a friend on DA just some days ago, and she said the most humane, sensible thing: what kind of a selfish pair of parents would want their child to be a freak? I mean, come on.

Adoption, I could live with. A scenario which I can see happening: they find an abandoned child on some mission, and the child grows on them before they manage to leave it somewhere safe. Plus if the child is batarian, or some other species not very welcome in Citadel space - that way I could see them keeping it.

I believe The Spirit of Redemption handled hybrids quite well. Firs of all, it's not just Shep and Garrus, Mordin's (that brilliant Salarian strikes again!) work is used throughout the galaxy, allowing human/Turian couples the chance to have kids. Sure there's stigma, part of it deals with people who believe they ARE abominations. And it's not just the simple "Yeah, you can have kids now." Shepard has to go through a lot of hardship during the pregnancy, including cocktails of drugs, extended bed-rest, dietary alterations etc.

Can you give me some good reasons why anyone would want a hybrid human-turian child? Why would they be willing to subject themselves to hardship to get it when they can adopt? How would they answer this question: were you even thinking about the child when you made it, or were you thinking just about your own desires?

Bottom line, I couldn't really respect a Garrus who'd be ready to go along with something like that. Not to mention that no Shepard of mine would ever ask him to.

Yes, but you can only apply that logic to normal children if you completely forget the child's needs, a hybrid baby would have a ridiculous amount of health problems and there's a very large chance that it could die at birth. Not to mention the endless stream of bullying and torture that other children would subject it to, you don't have to think about these things when you're having a normal baby.

Adoption is the most humane way of having a child in an interspecies couple, it may not be the most interesting, but sometimes the child has to be put first, this is a sapient creature we're talking about here...

to be honest...  i DO ask that question all the time, every day.   I don't think that there is a proper answer to it. 

And regarding hybrids?  it goes against everything in science. its not biologically possible. it just isn't. not to mention, even if it did happen... Look at the Liger. it is a beautiful creature created from a tiger and a lion. It is also completely sterile.   
*shrug*  i'm not gonna tell anyone what to like, and like Olivia, i fully believe that a good author could pull it off rather well. (i haven't yet read Spirit of Redemption. its been a billion years since i've really had time to read a long fic, sadly)    ...it doesn't mean that everyone will like it. 

EDIT:  ninja'd by Bubble...    and i just want to say that he makes incredible points that I agree with completely and wholley. 

Now. back onto a topic from several pages ago....  I made a pretty.   Its Nihlus/Saren.   based off of Rain on Virmire, which i requested on the Masskink meme on lj.   Its a beautiful, heartbreaking story.  And since I have a soft spot for Saren/Nihlus... well. nuff said, really. 
This is very much a WIP. just wanted to share.

awww shucks , glad you liked it bugs  I finished the vid in a few days but the uploading part caused me so much grief  *gets memories of technical problems* what's quite funny is that the video that I put so much effort into gets 500 views but something I did in 20 mins for a laugh (garrus gets fired) gets 11,000  I'm glad people liked it though.

Got mild fever for now - its going away. My REAL medicine - playing Mass effect 2 & laughing at Garrus' constant glitchyness on my insanity run. Ive NEVER seen Garrus go THIS glitchy. He must know Im sick. He's constantly making me laugh XDDD Constant defial of gravity and random resurrections w/o medigels. Love him even more each day....if that was even possible for me to love him anymore!?

I love way too many turians. Garrus #1. ALWAYS will be.I havent fallen for a character this BAD in.....idk. Garrus got me good  Nihlus & Techno Turian battling at 2nd XP Nihlus is....so....gah. Those dam eyes get me EVERY time. I will melt if i see an image. Ironic cuz I read a VERY "smexy" Nihlus FF the other night. heh
And any turian that can dance like THAT has a place in my heart! Lorik, Turian Bartender, & Racist Turian are others in my top 5.
