Hello all! I've FINALLY finished reading through this whole thread, and now I can post. XD Only recently got into the ME fandom after I got ME2 free 'cause I had DA2, so of course I had to get ME1 first... and now I've played through them both several times, aheh. In the middle of yet another ME2 playthrough - Garrus is always with me, of course. I adore that turian.

Haha yeah, read the whole thread. Partly winnowing through it for arts, maybe a touch of masochism, but mostly to see what's already been written and talked about regarding Garrus and turians in general. The conversations in here are enlightening. Took a coupla weeks on and off, between doing other things. I admit I did a lot of skimming too, especially whenever it looked like ME3 spoilers might be present. ^^;

One thing I've noticed that nobody's ever mentioned - has anyone else noticed that Garrus' fringe and crest (diamond-shaped plate on his forehead) are tipped with black? Has anyone seen any other turians with black-tipped fringes/crests? It kind of makes me wonder if those turians we've seen with darker plates that fade to a lighter face started off with just the darker colour on the tips, and it gradually spread over the rest of their fringe with age. If that makes sense.

And speaking of plate colours, has anyone seen any other turians with similar plate/skin colours to Garrus'? I don't remember seeing any others with his particular colours, but I'm easily distracted.

Good point. I was wondering about it myself. I don't think it has something to do with age though as we can see different turians in different age wearing similar colours. Never seen anyone like Garrus though but I think main characters are ment to stand out a bit when it comes to appearance. My guess would be that it maybe has something to do with the clan origin or it could just be as simple as say...different hair colour among humans

Hehe, yeah, game-design-wise I realise it's most likely to differentiate Garrus from all the other NPCs. I was just wondering about possible in-game reasons for it. It'd be interesting if it was caused by, say, something like tarnishing, given the metallic nature of their skin/plates. Though yeah, I figure it'd be more like a clan or genetic thing.

Makes me wonder what exactly the rest of his family look like, though. Would they all have a similar silver plate with black tips colouring? Or maybe one parent's got black plates and the other silver, and so Garrus and Solana have a mix... maybe Solana's the opposite to Garrus, black plates with silver tips. That'd look sweet.

In other news - today i had a bad morning, had procedures done on me due to doctor appointment T.T Feeling really fatigued. Get home to recover - WAS going to go out to buy a frame for the lithos [coming on monday i believe] but i need to recover  Started playing me2 abit [currently finished joker part -almost done with insanity ^_^ yay about to see garrus scene AGAIN] and GUESS WHAT SHOWS UP AT MY HOUSE!?.......
