Darn job. I missed the whole poll conversation. Oh well - Imma throw in my 2 credits to the conversation anyways.

For me its hard because theres so much more the the situation than just the surface : "Oh decide now! - save ur lover or a species!" dilemma. Thats freaking vague if you ask me. We dont know the cicumstances.What if the other species is indoctrinated or mutated to something else like the husks or now revealed "Cannibals". I need more info than that. And honestly it wont happen. Why would a situation like that happen? I can understand choosing between races, but the LI involved is not very probable. BW already stated theres going to be more "Virmire" incidents but dealing with civilizations this time. [unless the LI just so happens to be on a receiving end x.X then gosh darn it.] Im not one to commit complete genocide on a species just over ONE person, even if the race so happens to have a bad rep. Geth, Batarian, Vorcha, Krogan, Turian, Elcor - the list goes on with the differ races that exist. EACH of them have a place in the galaxy, whether big, small, good or bad. Its not right to just wipe them out for the sake of our own personal attachments. And its also not our place to judge whether they should be sacrificed or not. Why would they pay the price? BUT with that being said - Shepard has given up majority of her life to the galaxy in one way or another. When she died, the alliance and council didnt cared. Heck they tried to cover up all the good she did with false information. They wanted her and all the trouble she stirred up gone. Like a bad dream, or a figment of the imagination. Whatever both sides say - the rest of the races will follow, making her seem that Shepards warnings are just ludicrous. And now that shes back, and has killed thousands of batarians to better protect everyone against the reapers NOW they want to do something about her & want to bring her in for her "crime". The galaxy is taking her for granted. Literally. What if she didnt try to do anything - THEN they'll come crying to her for help. 
Is it so wrong for her to try to hold onto that one something thats brought her so much happiness & trust in a galaxy that a good majority didnt return the same support or regard to her own sacrifices?

The LI would very much sacrifice themselves for the greater good - thats a certainty. Especially Garrus, who's ALWAYS trying to do good in [and I quote from Garrus himself] "this screwed up galaxy". On the contrary - he'd probably be upset if Shepard saved him in the long run. Garrus has enough issues and to add on top of the fact that he may be the blame of a species going extinct wont help. Sure its Shepards decision 100% - but we know Garrus, & he will find a way that he's to blame for it in some form. He blames himself for the deaths of his teammates when it clearly wasnt his fault.
Then at the same time, he could very well be steamed at first but calm down afterwards and realize Shepards reasoning behind her decision like usual. He supports her, its what he does. [I think it brings him some thing of stability] I doubt anyone in his life has done such a sacrifice for his own life. Took take him by shock. And if he died [Gosh I shudder when I say or think that everytime], he'd be remembered for his sacrifice and the good he did. Doing something that helped the galaxy beyond the simple job at C-Sec. He'd be proud, and honored. He's always been self-sacrificial. Its part of his personality. Look at all he's done for Shepard already. Also [plz dont hurt me for saying this XP *gets shields up*] but who says Garrus and Shepard will stay together forever? Or to be more precise - Shepard & the LI. They could breakup or go separate ways,etc. Like the saying goes - "Nothing lasts forever." We just made a HUGE sacrifice over this person......[And i LOVE GxS, and believe they WILL stay together - im just trying to prove a point here XD]

And Obsy brought up a good point. We see things for how horrible and just down right unacceptable they are, but at the same time - some just dont care when it doesnt really concern them. Take Arrival for example. We just killed tens of thousands of batarians. Seems like no one cares except [obviously] the batarians themselves. Admiral Hackett wouldve given Shepard a medal for crying out loud. He said so himself. And the human civilizations vanishing in the terminus systems was very much an act of genocide if not stopped. The Council chose not to get involved and leave it to our own accord. They didnt care for humanity. Imagine if Shepard was still dead - humanity would very well fueling some terminator-like reaper larva and become the new reaper slaves like the protheans. It goes down to it that everyones out for their own species.

Being concise - it depends EXTREMELY on what the hell is going on. Im neutral. Im willing to save the galaxy for the geater good and Im willing to sacrifice for it. [I wont be pleased, but ill do it. War is never easy.] At the same time, Love makes you do crazy things, and for that right person - it'll take more than a reaper armanda to tear that person away from my arms and kung-fu grip!

Yea thats right Harbinger. Just TRY to take Garrus away from my Shepard. *determined* 

whew...ok........ Im done.... XP I love you all. Only here can i actually have long deep discussions. BSN [particularly Turian Clan] And jeez!? I wrote alot. Did i say 2 credits? I think i meant 200 XDDD

Though I will have to shoot a fireball at your shield. I think I have deserved to be with my LI for eternity, after all I have been through. I romanced Ashley, expected to reunite with her in ME2, which went horribly wrong, and now my expectations are even higher in ME3. If it ends up being so that I rescue her and in the end won't stay together forever,
 I'll just do a frikkin barrell roll or something IDK.

Yea I mean - really. Everyone would say one option or the other in the spur of the moment. But honestly - What do we really know about the situation? Nothing. I brought up both sides to the dilemma because thats just how I see it. And agreed, I really am interested to see how Garrus would react to such things. Im still curious as heck to see his reaction to Shepards actions in Arrival. Not just about the whole "killing a star cluster of batarians" part, but she was gone without any word from her for 2 DAYS. If my lover went on a SOLO mission into batarian space, and didnt return or send any form of communication in 2 days - I'd be freaking out. I half expected Garrus to come kicking down doors to save me in that facility XD [unfortunately....none of that happened.]  And lol Ive been getting alot of love this pass week Love ya too! Helps me smile over my lame doctor appointments.

You're throwing fireballs at me? Im getting mixed signals here  See, I knew this would happen once i said that. heh. Reread my last sentence! XD Of ALL romances, I do truly believe that Garrus will stay with Shepard for a VERRRRRRYYYYY long time. Its just the way their relationship is always improving makes that seem certain. Theyre always so accepting of each other, flaws and all. And when the worse seems to happen, they still support each other. Garrus is really quite lonely in this galaxy, and just by the way he tries so hard in his romance scenes, always trying to make her seem proud of him, being there at any given moment if she needs it - speaks volumes of how much he really cares. And I believe in fate in a way. They were brought back together again in me2. It "just so happens" Garrus goes to the terminus systems, mainly Omega. It "just so happens" Shepard particularly starts there to recruit people. And it "just so happens" she's there to recruit Archangel because he's NEEDED on HER team. Call it destiny? Archangel couldve been ANYONE, but nope - its was Garrus. Soulmates anyone?

As for Ash - I loved her in me1 [not THAT way, but still]. Sure rough around the edges, but thats particularly why i liked her. But that scene she pulled on Horizon. Grr. I can understand where she's coming from, I'd be shocked too. BUT I wouldve listened to my lover. Heard everything that he needed to say, because you what? As hard as it is to believe, He was back.

And gah! That art is gorgeous! All the little details in there make it more incredible. The bullets being delfected off Garrus' shields, the fact Garrus' has his armor-piercing rounds activated on his rifle, Joker healing Kaiden], Liaras biotics. Blood coming off their armor. And NOOOOO TALI! The talimancers arent going to be happy about that.....
and derp? N7 strip going down sheps chest plate? Thats different. 
BTW - Yea Garrus' head is different. His fringe is going from short to long. Its suppposed to be the other way. Top "spike", whatever you want to call it, is supposed to be the longest, and they ge shorter going down the sides. Here is the reverse effect. And his mandibles kinda look somewhat odd, but thats the style that the artist wanted to portray. I love it! 5 stars from me!

Totally agree with you but I felt that the email Ash sends kinda makes up for it. It shows that she knew she overreacted but Bioware will have to really pull out all the stops in ME3 to make waiting for her worth it.

Heh why thank you sweetie XP I used to write many essays and such. Some scenarios for games just for kicks [ppl around here know about some of those whereas my Fanfic skills leak out]. I kinda keep in mind what I want to write about. Sometimes i feel like im rambling too, but apparently ppl say im not lol. I just keep typing and the thoughts just pour out. I dont really realize length til im donE. Im somewhat infamous on mulitple communities for my rather long posts, especially the "multi-quote posts". Only reason I do it is because I like to comment on many peoples opinions since they bring up interesting points and like to share my POV, or just quoting their silly comments. Thus creating the long posts heh.

Ah yes. MANY players felt that sting of betrayal from the VS in that particular scene. Which as a result, many ended up getting with a new LI in me2 because of it. Some ppl thought she moved on, others thought she just didnt care. She [or he cuz of kaiden] DID care. Just had a different reaction then what most people wouldve wanted. Yes - alot of what the VS said was uncalled for, but hey - that's life. Even in gaming. That email, was a step in the right direction but IF the VS really cared - I wouldve found time to mention in that email to meet up somewhere like the Citadel or Illium to chat IN PERSON and take a better efffort to sort things out. Sure they are soldiers will a job to do. But they can spare about an hour or 2 cant they? Unfortunately, they didnt. The VS would rather file a report then talk. Ok, it may sound like im bashing, but im not. I do love the VS. Im glad they are back in me3 from the start. YAY REUNIONS!  
That being said - and like you said - BW will have to pull out the stops in me3. The VS hurt Shepard in more ways than one. Trust can be easily broken and hard to get back. I trust Ash/Kai will do the right decisions for the galaxy, i dont doubt their judgement on that. But I want to know is if they trust ME. 

And thats where people like Tali and Garrus come in.
Ash/Kai dont trust cerberus and left Shepard alone to do her own thing. Tali DESPISES Cerberus, came on board eventually anyways because of Shepard. Garrus doesnt trust Cerberus either. He came on board almost dead from a rocket blast to his face and still was by her side. Being at Shepards side speaks volumes above all else to me in my book.

Blah - I was gonna get my older sis to vote [or rather force her too lol] XD
One issue - I dont really want the default femshep in the trailer to be blonde......LOVE the hairstyle. Not the color. I got NOTHING against blondes! Its just that ive seen how that hairstyle is edited in other colors and Raven haired version looks so much more prettier.
 
Hmmmm anyone guess if one of the supporting cast will comment on Shepards appearance? XP
Idk if anyone here has played the Ratchet & Clank series, but when it made the HD jump from ps2 to ps3, one of the characters commented to Ratchet & Clank saying "Oh its you two! Almost didnt recoginze you in high def."  And this character never had glasses til the ps3 games as a joke to the HD upgrade

Oh man THIS. I so want to know the reactions of Garrus AND the rest of the crew to the whole Arrival thing - both the exploding the relay/killing all those batarians and the whole "missing for 2-3 DAYS with no contact" thing. 

I dunno if Garrus would go so far as freaking out - he's been with Shepard for two trips into hell and back again, he knows she can take care of herself. But he would most definitely be worried, very worried. I could see him spending a lot of time with Tali, pacing around on the engineering deck as he and Tali try to keep each other reassured. 

This also makes me wonder how he and whoever else was with them during the Overlord thing reacted when they got seperated from Shepard when she got her head hacked. That couldn't have been a good time for anyone involved. XD
