i could work with just changing the hair style. thats kinda cool. i was kinda wondering what reason they'd give this time for it.

i can picture it now.  Shepard runs from court and has to change her face to go into protective custody.

@Arcana: I hadn't actually read that story! Just found it and read it now, I saw the scene you're talking about. XD Different time/location, but yeah, I can see what y'mean, hehe. If my pics can remind people of well-written scenes like that, it's all good! :D

And of course Garrus is a badass gentleman! Though he doesn't kick down doors (unless it's a bad guy's door), he just kicks to knock when his hands are otherwise occupied. ;)

Re. swearing: I don't think Garrus has used "hell" as an actual swearword in-game, as far as I can remember. He only said it after Shepard did, and was echoing her choice of words. I'm trying to remember specifically where he's said damn - I know he has, just can't exactly recall when. I think Jack's loyalty mission on Pragia was one place? Hm.

I dunno if Garrus would use the f-word, myself, or at least not the specifically human version of it. XD It seemed kind of out of place to me when Sidonis used it during Garrus' LM, though the sentiment was appropriate, hehe. I agree that Garrus would probably only really let loose with the swearwords when the excrement REALLY hit the ventilation system. ;)

But yeah, damn, for marines/soldiers the ME crew are for the most part bloody clean-speaking. XD Bioware can't have been -too- worried about language in the game, otherwise Joker's little "shi--" rants and the f-bombs probably wouldn't have made it in.

Re. hairstyles/appearance in ME3: Haha I was thinking the whole "must hide identity after court case" reason myself. Great minds, eh? ;)  But yeh, since I'll be importing my custom Sheps, I'm not particularly worried about what the default Shep looks like. As long as they make all those hairstyles available for custom Sheps, I'm happy!

Well... in the US, there's a number quota of "f-bombs" and the like you can say without upping the rating. Possible that Jack maxed those.

Ah, really? Didn't know that, but then again I don't pay much attention to game rating stuff. And if that's the case, Jack didn't get ALL of them. ;) Sidonis can lay claim to one!

LOL, true. But yes... a certain number of cuss words and you can kiss that M rating goodbye and get the death-knell MA rating.

With that in mind, then yeah, censorship/rating issues aside... the ME crew would most likely be a fair bit more mouthy than they are currently, hehehe. Though I still can't see Garrus being much of a potty-mouth unless the situation really warrants it - he's just too polite for the most part! IMO, anyway.

I've said before, the ME crew is the cleanest spoken bunch of Marines in fiction.  They really should be cussing a hell of a lot more than they do.  And i figure Garrus picked up human epithets just from hanging out with so many.

Well to be fair, not all of them were marines. Most of them weren't in ME2. ;)

I would suggest maybe colloquialisms and curse words are less widely used among space-faring humans in ME because of translators making them sound like idiots, but then they have some aliens using human curses, so it's probably not that.

He's used it a lot, actually.

"Don't make me laugh, damn it. My face is barely holding together as it is."
"Damn it, Shepard. If he moves, I'm taking the shot!"
"Let me take the shot, Shepard. He's a damn coward."

In ME1 I think he says damn when on Noveria at some point... But he has more dialogue in ME1 than ME2, so probably!

I've never seen an M title get threatened with AO categorization due to language.  Gore, sexual content, extreme levels/types of violence, violence against children, yes, but never for language.  Got any sources I could study?  *fascinated by this idea*

Let's see.  There's this one:

Garrus: I've been hunting that little bastard for months.

He mentions you're "kicking ass" if you're doing really well during his recruitment mission.

References to using "damn" have already been mentioned. . .

Given the evidence, pretty sure he's a bit of potty mouth.  Not to mention, he's ex-military.  Not all soldiers/airmen/marines use "bad" langauge in every other sentence they utter, but they certainly do know how to use a well-placed f-bomb, if nothing else. ;)

Not really, but I deduced it from the fact that I know that movies have that restriction and the game restrictions are based on the movie categories.  I'm sure I could find it though.

But no, I don't think Garrus is above an F-bomb or three.

Human military, perhaps, we don't really know if it's a trend with turian military.

I never took him for a potty mouth. All of the curses he's used are generally less vulgar ones. I don't think Garrus is the sort to be commonly found dropping f-bombs or other more offensive curses, but that's just me.

I think there's also a projection of one's own personal tastes as well as to whether it's a case of his own choice of expression or simply media censorship.

Um, it's a video game made by humans.  Therefore, everything there is based off of human notions of military tactics, regulations, and behaviors, and/or subversions of them.

Also, there's evidence of the "f-word" being used by other turians, so it isn't out of the realm of possibility that every turian would be familiar with the word.  Naturally, it varies between personalities, but since all turians have to join the military to gain citizenship within the Hierarchy, it stands to reason that there's the chance that they'll get vulgar in some situations.

I think that it's lacking in creativity to make the assumption that the turian military works exactly like the human military in terms of culture, though. All I'm saying is we don't know how the turian military works. I didn't say for certain that they don't curse a lot, simply that there's no real evidence that they do just because humans do. We have a distinct lack of insight when it comes to turian culture in comparison to some of the other species, due to having never been to a turian world.

And we have heard one turian saying the f-word, but that's hardly conclusive of anything.

Red head Shep 5 by Razz8

Ok THAT i like. ALOT. If there was a way to make a darker redhead, then Im all for it! i wish the ingame shade of red hair couldve been somewhat darker like that. Actually wouldnt it be nice if we can change to shade of color from light to dark? We only have preset shades for hair colors. Wish we can choose something in between  Posted Image Like have some sort of meter of some sort where can use a slider to make it lighter/darker.  And, i noticed this back when i first saw the image but no one brought it up - whats with that beauty mark by her eye.....Blah. Too cliche. I wouldnt mind FemShep looking more.....[whats a word].....Battle torn? Add some scars, mild smile lines, etc. Shes a soldier. Show that shes been through alot. Years of experience and all. I miss some of her ME1 scars.

As far as I know, it has only been confirmed that we can change our hair style.

And apparently Casey hasnt forgotten the classic default Shep and customization too!

In addition to choosing the new default #femshep you can also choose the old one or create your own customized look. #ME3
-CaseyDHudsonCasey Hudson
Yes, you will be able to tweak your imported #ME2 character in #ME3.

Also yea - we can change our appearance at any given time throughout the game, whenever we feel like it then just having to do it once in the very beginning. Woo.

Also just curious - I want to see Garrus fight hand to hand in me3. All this talk about his dialog, got me thinking about the times he mentioned about hand-to-hand fighting. Even in ME3, he says it during combat. I want to see him take down some mercs with his own body than the use of weapons. Harkin didnt count, he didnt fight back. I want to see a REAL fight, not an interrogation. [although i DID find it hot to watch Garrus beat up Harkin Posted Image]

Oh man, yeah, I'd love to see Garrus rockin' it in close quarters combat. :o We've seen how strong he is - picking up Harkin with ONE arm with no apparent effort whatsoever omg - and he's said himself that he's damn good at hand to hand combat. Let's SEE that, Bioware!

Also! Livestreaming a new Garrus sketch now if anyone's interested. :D Rar!

EDIT: Livestream done for now!

I don't agree about the beauty marks... however, I do agree with Arc that yes.. Shep should be a bit more scarred up. She's been through too much not too. And scars are hot.

And Kai Leng v. Garrus ..... oh i'd TOTALLY watch that. There was a story that was being written that involved that.

Very nice, WardyLion! I really like the contrast on it, it highlights the sharpness of his features. Is that done in ink?

Thanks very much and, yes, it is indeed done with pens of varying thicknesses.  None of your fancy-schmancy, Photoshop and tablet drawing in my gallery...damn I'm such a Luddite!
