Could just be an empty threat, don't you think someone would have tried for it already, there are plenty of fool-hardy bounty hunters out there just waiting for the big break that's going to put them on the map, like zaeed taking down that turian frigate. (Which was NOT cool Zaeed) Then again the fact that shepard is there may scare of some of the amatures, which also raises the fact that they may be waiting for garrus to be alone and then they'll abush him or something.

Could be a good idea for a recruitment mission, oh wait... no, what I meant to say was, an entirely boring and generic idea for a recruitment mission, and it's exactly the kind of thing bioware would do. What do you guys expect from the recruitment mission for garrus? I don't want another scene of shepard saving garrus' ass, I kind of want bioware to play around with the line in the shadow brooker's dossier. "Exceptional leadership and team-building skills. Leadership potential overshadowed by shepard"

I'm not saying that Garrus has to save shepard's behind for it to work, but something that isn't just another gross masturbation of the fact that shepard is an inherant badass and that no one whether they be human, turian, hyper intellegent dolphin, or otherwise, could ever come close to his/her never ending power.

In regards to the bounty I think the shadow broker would have found someone willing to pay. Considering how MANY people Garrus pissed off I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard.

As to the Shadow Broker/unclaimed bounty thing... wow, that could be very interesting if it's brought up again in ME3. Though I doubt it will be, really, since LotSB -is- a DLC and not everyone would've bought it. Not to mention you only get that line IF you take Garrus with you. Every other crew member also has their own little lines - if they followed up ALL of them (or at least all that concern chars that are still in ME3) it'd probably take up way too much game time. We're supposed to be focusing on the Reapers, after all. XD

Still, it would be interesting if they did happen to follow up on it one way or another. What I want to know is who put the bounty out in the first place? Was it just the Blue Suns? Was it Eclipse? Blood Pack? All three together? And who would PAY the bounty now that the leaders of all three merc groups at the time (and presumably the ones who were offering the bounty in the first place) are now DEAD?

Now -there- is something I'd like followed up on. What's the merc group situation like on Omega now that such a large chunk of the major players were taken out? Have the Blue Suns, Eclipse and Blood Pack recovered any? Are they still top dogs, or have other groups taken over? Especially since Blue Suns were hit hard by the plague as well.

Welcome, Enthalpy, and thank you! I'm flattered that you liked the story so much. 

Saren/Nihlus isn't the most popular pairing, but there are a few people around here who might be interested. Critique is very welcome, as usual.

@Arcana That speculation of yours with Garrus as Archangel is quite something to ponder about. Heck, I've played through LotSB 7 times and never even noticed it. Gotta love ME for this. Not to undermine it though, it is awesome that we'll finally get to see palaven, although I'm excited to see the moon also, mainly just because I want to see a world entirely consisting of turians. 
I really hope bioware puts some cool stuff on palaven though, I want to see turian architecture, maybe some of their art, stuff like that, I'm worried after seeing the footage from sur'kesh, because that really doesn't look very differant from the other architecture we've seen in the game previously.

speaking of architecture & designs - Darn, i cant seem to find a screenshot of that statue in Hock's vault X/
Oh well - we'll admire a turian cruiser!

Simple. Yet effective. Turians strike me as being more "functional" than "fashionable". They dont emphasize on paint jobs, fancy symbols and such. I mean, compare that to the normandy.

I prefer that over the Normandy, that looks like a frigate, the Normandy looks like it was built to transfer civilians through space, that looks like it could do damage, what can I say? I like big guns and straight lines! 

Put it this way, if the Normandy was concord, a turian frigate would be a fighter jet or something...

The Turians have my favourite ship design in the mass effect universe. (although I could name many from other sci-fi universes that are much better than that) Humans are second, I don't think we've seen a salarian ship as of yet and for me, anything is better than the asari's blasted ship design.

I swear to god the destiny ascension looks like a women's unmentionables...

But enough about ships that look like genitals, it's always striked me as weird that people think the turians would have the "functional" over "fashionable" ideology. Look at their markings, in fact since we're talking about him, look at lorik's markings, their rather elaborate, as far as I know, the turians drew those markings to differentiate themselves from, and show protest towards the hierarchy, they also show what colony their from and so on. So in essence, those are kind of like gang tattoos, to me that doesn't seem like something a race based around "functionality" would do. Especially not something as elaborate as that, and turians maintain their markings through generations, again, that seems kind of out of character for that ideology, especially if they were only drawn in the first place to show protest against the hierarchy.

Is it just me, or most depictions of Saren are monochromatic? (As in, he's monochromatic in most depictions?)

As far as I know, (and beleive me, that isn't a lot) monochrome is generally used when an artist wants to portray a darker side to a character or thing, a lot of people probably see fit to draw him in that fashion because he's.. well you know, evil...

Then there's also the emotional side to it which shows a differant kind of dark side, generally based of the death of Desolas or the idea that fans have built up in their heads that Saren felt remorse after killing Nihlus.

edit: Also I love Lorik Qu'in. When I got the email from him in ME2, I got all excited and wanted to visit him, but then I realized I couldn't. I was just so sad...

Saren's not evil. He's just misunderstood. He tried his best against an unfathomable threat, just like Shepard. And in all fairness, after the Alpha Relay incident, I'd say Saren's got nothing on Shep's body count.
