If I remember right, I believe he quit the Spectre training because the Spectres were still too much under the Council's thumb with bureaucratic crap. Or at least, he says something along those lines.

Personally, I suspect he may have been rejected/fired from C-Sec because he wouldn't shut up about the Reaper threat.

I'd say more but I gotta run now. XD

not necessarily. there are a lot of rabid Kaidan fangirls.

.... i like Kaidan though, so either way.

I didnt romance anyone in ME1 to the fullest. I started on Kaiden didnt like him. Was very much into Garrus the entire game, felt like I was cheating on Garrus when there was no relationship.

Then I made a maleshep and tried Ashley. I couldnt do that either, she was far worse. I could rant for hours on how much I hate anything Ashley related.

Liara was the only one tolerable. So glad they gave me the option to romance Tali and Garrus in ME2, those were who I wanted in the first place.

My hope for ME3: That Kaiden realizes he loves my Shep and fights over me with Garrus, then I pick Garrus in the end anyway. I felt strange coming on to guys first, I kinda want someone to take the iniative and have it be outside of my power for once. --kinda like kaiden/liara or ash/liara-- ( I feel like a cynical ****)

You think that's bad? I dumped him on accident once.  I thought I'd be telling him, "No matter what happens, you're still my best friend."  What actually came out of Shep's mouth was, "Maybe we're better off as just friends."

Keener sounded like I shot his dog.

Image IPB

That's probably just as bad as Zev calling you "my love" when you dump him...

Still, I don't think anything can be worse than dumping Jack during the O4 sequence...That's gotta be the worst breakup of ME2.

But yeah, putting the "just friends" option as a top-right choice is a sneaky, sneaky move. I'm sure lots of people have broken up with their LIs by accident like that.

There is a list of things I won't do in Bioware games, period, and that I also won't watch YouTubes for because I just can't take it. :crying: They are, in no particular order:

* Hand Alistair over to be executed
* Return Fenris to Danarius
* Refuse to forgive Fenris
* Turn Garrus down @ the Pre-Omega 4 scene

I'm just happier not knowing. :(

Edit: Hmm, I'm close to ToP, so I'll post something. :) I haven't seen this one yet. Courtesy of Feena-C on dA.

Well, it's true... :innocent:

Still, I'm very interested what kind of outcome that may lead to. Would be fun to see him in DA3 where he wants to avenge Hawke or something.

Ah. Sorry for lecturing. And, come on, people; somebody's gotta remember what he said about reapplication. He must have said something. Tried to find it on youtube and failed.

He sez: "I trained to become a Spectre after the Normandy was destroyed, but it didn't work out. Too much politicking at the Citadel. Nobody was willing to take risks."

It's interesting that regardless of Garrus' decision of either reapplying for Spectres or going back to C-sec, his first choice is to stay with Shepard's crew. It's only after her death that he gets to realizing his earlier plan. I like to think that he did try to argue for preparing for the Reapers at the Citadel, until he realized that he just didn't have enough influence and power to change their minds.

True, but I'm not willing to go through with it until there's some very good reason to do so. The descriptions of that scene are bad enough.

Someone in the Fenris thread (Reisilver) posted a good point:

Reisilver wrote....
What is it with the DA (I say Bioware) male LIs and having such hurts that you just want to reach out and comfort them?

Kelly took me completely by surprise when she said that about Garrus, although the thought had (of course) occurred to me and was driven home by the scene right before the Normandy briefing room where it's not clear whether he'll even make it. She's right, of course, but I was a little surprised by it. :) I can also see how Thane would provoke the urge to comfort.

I think Jacob may be the only male Bioware LI that hasn't provoked that urge in me, at least in recent (DA, ME) memory.  I haven't romanced all of them, but still...I see the point.

(Edit for grammar fail. Clearly I need coffee. :whistle:)

i won't do them in game, but i will admit that i'm curious enough to watch them on youTube.  no power in the verse can stop my curiousity...
i always feel bad after watching them though, and then will 1. go check my game to make sure its ok, and 2.  watch a happy video regarding the person in question.

also. i want to throw this out there.  Sia, i just got to chapter 20 of "Loved"  I was reading it on my phone, so i couldn't comment...  but damn girl. that story is amazing. i literally read it all in one sitting... i just couldn't stop. i can't wait to read more.

Same. Can't actually bring myself to do those things in game, but will definitely watch them on you tube and then feel bad about it after.

One thing I always find myself doing is looking in the men's washroom and saying "BOYEEEZ?" out loud. There's never anyone in there, and I know there will never be... but just once... just ONCE, I want to find the male crew in there showering. I'm Commander Mother F*cking Shepard and I'm going to stand in the door and WATCH.... and you're ALL GOING TO LIKE IT.

The only creepy thing being the toilets. I'd shoot myself in the face if I ever opened that door and saw Grunt sitting on the can.

Totally OT but I just read about a poll that said Canadians were voted the 4th least coolest nationality. Makes me feel a little bad about myself.:?

You get a thrill from that? Hm, fair enough, however, I'm curious, what do you do if there's is someone in there?

OH OH! Have you ever had a buddy comedy moment when someone walked out of the rest room as soon as you peered in, and then it looks as if your lips are about to meet but you just narrowly miss and then the crowd goes WOOOOO-awww...

Sorry, my girlfriend just made me watch 2 episodes of friends and I feel like placing people I know into situation comedy sketches. I should really stop making posts after watching popular genre pieces, first lady olivia's army of pickpocket goblins and now this...

Really? You'd shoot yourself in the face? Have you ever considered how hard that would be? Why not just go for the temple? Hm, I suppose if I ever "saw grunt on the loo" (code for "if I ever had a reason to kill myself") I would get some cheese or fibre wire, tie it into a noose, get a stool and place it in front of the noose, then I'd glue my hands to the sides of my head and take a running jump at the noose using the stool to propel myself foward.

That way, once my body is recovered, it will look as though I have ripped my own head off!!

*Slaps Self*

Damn it bubble stop being weird, no one wants to hear about your suicide proposal!

Well now, see that depends on what they are doing (see below section about Grunt on the can).

Does it count if it's at work, and I stand really really close to the door of the washroom so that when the person inside opens the door I scare the holy hell out of them? Because that I do - often. And it never gets old. Though I was punched in the stomach once. Still worth it.

I also have a history of taping down the receiver button on the phones, opening porn on other employees computers with remote desktop, stuff like that.

That's... pretty fantastic... My feelings about shooting myself in the face are feeling lacking and a little under-developed. You're right to call me on my very lazy and poorly thought out idea. If I were really going to kill myself I'd make sure I implicated someone I hate. Like the prime minister or maybe Beyonce.

Hmm death by grand piano would be good, or perhaps being strapped to the end of a rocket. Who hasn't wanted to explosively decompress in the vacuum of space?

Not really sure how I'd convince people that Beyonce killed me in space... I'll get back to you on that.

Is there canned laughter? Or a token gay guy? Because if not then no, it doesn't count.

Has that ever blown up in your face? As in, do you now have an entire office of scheming, conniving nemisises just waiting for that one day when you'll trip a fibre cord and a photo copier will fall on you? Because that's what I'd be doing, years in the scouts has lead to me being very adept to setting up traps using the local enviornment, unfortunately I couldn't find a log in my office, and two tons worth of plastic and scanning equipment is significantly harder to work with.

Oh, like you wouldn't believe! I didn't even know that goblin culture could produce what are known as "big booty b*tches," but apparantly I was wrong! By the end there were many synthetic goblins, some headless red birds, a washed up british glam rock star and various vibrating pencil shaped devices littered all over the floor! It was truely a night to rememeber...

Also if you haven't gotten this referance by now, hit yourself over the head with a brick, Ok? Thanks...

K8ee wrote...

Well the correct assumpstion would be that you wouldn't, considering that by the time you learned how she managed it, you would be dead... in space... with beyonce...

God, that's really something to put on your tombstone!

Ah, I see canada is leashed with another pompous, conservative bastard as well? I hear you, believe me david cameron is very high up on the list list of people I want to fire into the centre of mars.

It's Stephen Harper for Canada isn't it?

I'm going to say he's conservative because google said that he's the leader of the conservative party, I really don't know all that much about canadian politics! :P

Yay, voted. Offically ME fangirl.

@Bubblesauce

Unfortunately the canned laughter is only in my head. Co-workers are all dead inside, so as much as I WISH they were scheming against me, I know they just go home and cry to themselves as they load their dishwashers and go to sleep looking forward to touching themselves, alone in the shower the morning.

I like to think I keep their lives just a little more interesting than they would have been. That or I've totally misjudged the situation and you'll never hear from me again because I will have been killed and plastered into the wall of a low income ontario housing complex.

But anyway, tiny, unsatisfying vibrators and synthetic goblins aside, Canadian politics isn't all that interesting - every once and a while someone gets a pie in the face or covered in chocolate milk. I won't get into discussing the crazy, conservative, vampire on the soul that is canada, prime minister that harper because this is for Garrus chat... WEEEEEE!!! pictures:

If you did draw it, then you deserve a pat on the back and a grant from the government...

It's from the meme, thus no link. You'll recognize the artist when you see the post, Obsy. :)
