I was extremely lucky with my overnight shipping from Gamestop. I had my copy by 3pm today, and I live in podunk Texass. My copy came from Louisville, KY and flew to Dallas DFW by 6am and then was on its way to me. I tracked it's status on the UPS site like a hawk. lol. That's how I've been all day. I'm on spring break, and I would love nothing more than to play me3 for 12 hours straight... I had to buy mine from Kmart, since Gamestop was all sold out by the time I was paid. I really regret not putting the money away sooner. <_< And I've just checked again and it says 'processing' -- it seems to not want to ship. I ordered it last week though.

That's really good to hear. I would have thought it was awesome either way, but clipping issues might have made screenshots look like Zombie Garrus. xD And I probably won't even notice the backgrounds. I'll be too busy celebrating for my FemShep!

I really like what I am hearing about the romance so far.

On a side note, my god has BSN died or what? I wish I were at home to play my game. The gameplay is extremely fun and the cooldown times for my adept are hella better than when I played the demo (probably because I maxed out my cooldown stats when I leveled my actual char and carry only 2 light arms vs what the demo gave us-shotgun, assault rifle, and two light arms=too much weight penalty :-/)

I added a bunch of the Talons to my friendlist so if any of you see an invite from Tuxedo Rannin that's me. :-D

Most people are probably playing ME3. I can't play anymore today, so all I've been able to do is examine the guide sparingly and try to plan out my Shepards across three games without having played much of the third one yet. Did I mention I'm really bored? xD

Oh, here's an interesting bit of info that you guys might find interesting:

SPOILER WARNING!

The guide says Shepard can talk about the genophage decisions with Garrus afterwards, and that if Shepard chose to sabotage the cure, "Garrus is the one person Shepard can come clean with." It makes me want to play a Shepard who did this to see the conversation in my game, but unfortunately, you can't play this out with Wrex being alive. If he's alive in ME3, he'll find out and confront Shepard, and you're forced to kill him. >.>;

I have a renegade Shep who is all for the genophage so I can see her doing this. All of my Sheps: Samantha (forever saved herself for Garrus), Valla (romanced Kaidan-dumped his arse on Horizon and is Garrus's girl ever since), and Ananya (romanced Liara, got with Garrus-can't get enough of him-and thinks Liara should be with Feron) all of them romance Garrus so I can't wait for their convos together. Wrex isn't one of my fav characters so I am somewhat ambivalent when it comes to the possibility of having to kill him off in a game. Mordin, on the other hand, I love, so I would hate to lose him.

Both Samantha and Valla are inspired by Stargate SG1. Sam after Sam Carter (one of my fav female heroines of all time) and Valla after Vala Mal Doran whom I think has a wonderful voice and is drop dead gorgeous. Ananya is an Indian/Sanskrit name for Unique. I thought it sounded nice.

Wrex is actually one of my favorites, but I think these bad news endings are making me somewhat numb to Mass Effect character death. o_o Well, for everyone who's not Saren and Garrus. This is not necessarily a good thing...

My Shepards aren't really inspired by characters from other universes, unless you count stories of my own creation. Although, my Carson Shepard does like to imitate action movie stars. My Garrusmance Shepard does have a name from The Lion King (Kiara), but that's not why I chose it. xD It is kind of fitting now that I think about it.

I play a paragade Shep who killed Wrex, but I think I'll have my Shep cure the genophage.
My Shep is named Vea, which means "sight" -- since the galaxy depends on her to see the best thing to do. She also romanced Garrus.

My game still isn't here yet... At least I have youtube.

I just recruited Garrus and played through the first romance conversation. It was awesome, and so adorable! There was a Paragon interrupt, and I was almost afraid to click it because I didn't like the Paragon interrupt in his final romance scene of ME2, but I did it anyway. I was not disappointed. It was perfect. So, to everyone who has not reached this point yet and didn't watch the vids, take the interrupt!

I also met the Primarch. Great guy.

Oh, I haven't tried out his alternate outfits yet! I did see pictures in the guide, but it looked like a slight color change to the armor. Does he have more than two armors (not counting the DLC one), and does he have a casual outfit? He's still wearing his original armor in my game, but he just joined the Normandy.

Edit: Forgot to add, the lighting in Garrus' room is just perfect for my FemShep, and that makes their scenes together even better. It really brings out her golden colors (hair/skin/eyes). Too bad I can't take screenshots.

And omg guys in the scene where they're saying "goodbye" and Garrus mentions kids and if Shepard responds that she wants kids he says there's going to be lots of "little Korgan" running around!  So he would adopt a Korgan!!!!! SO CUTE!!!!!! 

I really wish the endings were better though.  I mean the "journey" is so amazing...why have the "destination" suck so much?  Time for major headcanoning.

...There's more than one? That's awesome! And those other spoiler dialogues sound adorable too. I didn't even see one of those comments in the leaked script. I'll have to watch them later.

When the time comes that I can afford a gaming PC, I'll be going overboard with the screenshots. Unfortunately, if I tried to take them now, I know from experience that SDTV + non-digital camera = pictures that don't show up.

That sounds really cool. I'll change Garrus into his alternate armor for my next mission and see how it looks in action. I wouldn't have guessed it was that color on the squad selection screen.

Unfortunately, I heard that the two squadmates get "magically" teleported onto the Normandy regardless of what you do.  Either that or they die if you don't have a strong enough score   I do think that Normandy isn't really stranded because it's never said "oh they're stuck here forever" so I'm going to headcanon that a surviving Shepard finds them within a few months so they can all be together <3

Yes, I really don't understand what's going on with these endings but as long as I can headcanon happily it should all be good!   And there might be some great DLC that will add to it, you never know!  I'm just so excited with what I've seen of Garrus' romance so far...it's just...oh, all the feelings!  I AM SO HAPPY.

Hello my fellow Garrus lovers! I am not that far into the game but I like what I've seen so far with him! And all your comments are giving me so much hope and happiness in regards to the progress of the relationship. I am so excited to see how the date plays out....but I think I have a while before that happens.

And sadly that is true about the squad mates teleporting to the Normandy. There are just so many plotholes toward the end.....but at least that can be erased/fixed with headcanon!!! And I believe there is a way to leave Garrus behind some where - maybe Earth or Palaven (I don't think you have the option of leaving him on Palaven's moon when you first meet) - and if he is left behind and Shep lives (also some how on Earth I think), I just assume they meet up and the relationship continues from there and they try to rebuild Earth. Honestly if Jacob, Miranda and Jack can be on Earth, so can Garrus! I haven't looked in the guide yet for the endings....but I think I will soon. Though it doesn't make sense for the guide not to mention the Normandy situation....

I just continue to hope for a Broken Steel type DLC. I am just not sure Bioware would do it because they love the endings.... BUT they will make money off of it and the fans will be happy!! Win-Win! And for those of you that don't know, Broken Steel is for Fallout 3. The main character dies at the end (or you can force someone else to do the task and die) but with the addition of the Broken Steel DLC your character is still alive and you can continue missions from there. It was so well done. Bethesda did it because a lot of players didn't like the ending, didn't think it made sense and they wanted to play more - as it is an open world/sand box RPG like Skyrim.

I am seriously hoping for this. I will pay money for this and I, along with many other players, will finally have a semi happy ending (something hopefully)! At least let me be with my LI and crew. Plus like others mentioned, it doesn't make sense for the Normandy to fly off....so I think I am going to headcanon the Normandy coming back to pick Shep up. Trying to stay as vague as possible. I honestly feel like sh!t and I haven't even finished the game. But putting my happy cap back on! I think I will stop after the final Garrus romance scene and headcanon it from there!! It will work! :wub:My Shep dating Garrus is NOT going to die (or stranded some where?)...I won't allow it. As for my Shep dating Thane....I am all for it. Yes!  I really hope they do something like Broken Steel.  I've been a Bioware fan since 1999 and I've never been so disappointed by an ending of theirs before.  NEVER.  I kind of had a feeling they wanted Shepard to die regardless because they wanted this story done...but you don't need to kill her off or have her crew apparently stranded somewhere to die if you want to end the story!  Honestly, I would be able to accept these endings in a movie, maybe, but not in a game where you are supposed to be making your own choices.

I just really wanted an ending where the Normandy finds Shepard still alive (I know she can survive in that Destroy ending) and there's an epic hug moment between her and Garrus like in that Appleseed gif and it ends with hope because Shepard and her friends survived and can rebuilt the galaxy together even though so many lives have been lost.  That would've been perfect for me <3  Also, I really enjoyed the wide variety of endings that Dragon Age: Origins offered because it really let you be in charge of your path.  And it was great talking with everyone at the end and finding out what would happen next 

Regardless...I saw all the Shakarian vids and I almost melted from happiness.  I'm going to get the game, if only for this perfect perfect relationship.  And to Mr. Weekes if he ever reads this:  YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB AND I LOVE YOU AND YOU ARE THE GOD OF ROMANCE.  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU <3<3<3

HA! Same here! I value the relationship so much that I just couldn't and still can't spoil the whole progression of it all! After someone on here (not the Garrus thread, but another BSN thread) spoiled the ending for me, I said screw it and read more about the endings. So even though I know everything (I think?) about the endings, there is no way I want to ruin the surprise with Garrus! I am so tempted to see the romance scene but again, I want it to be a surprise, I want it to see it for the first time with my Shep and I want to feel my intial reaction/emotion to the scene when I am the one playing it instead of watching someone else's. I hope that makes sense. lol.

Anyway, Garrus is now my guiding light throughout this game....which is totally fine by me!! <3

The guide is very low on spoilers, actually. The ending descriptions are about as detailed as you would find on the forums, except it tells you how many war assets are needed to achieve them, and the numbers are different depending on whether you saved or destroyed the Collector base in ME2.

I wouldn't be happy at all if they came out with an ending DLC. ): I can deal with missing missions and extra characters, but a happy ending? Normally, I'd be okay with just headcanon. I wouldn't be thrilled about it, but I'm used to it. But really, if everyone else got a happy ending added to their games when people without DLC were stuck with just headcanon? No fair. Some things are just unacceptable to leave out of the main game and sell as DLC later.

Oh well, enough negativity for this post. I still think ME3 is awesome - the whole series is awesome - and I won't let the ending ruin anything for me, just like a bad ending to an otherwise perfect movie, book, or TV series. And Garrus' romance is the best I've ever seen in a game. Also, I'm only a few missions into the game, but I don't feel like anyone's trying to ninjamance my Shep yet, not even Liara. Well done on that part, so far.

Maybe they will do it as a patch? I will have hope until Bioware says different! Or....maybe...it will be FREE DLC!!! I know I know....very unlikely. Not like they need the extra cash anyway....I guess it would really show how much their care about their fans - their loyal fans. The ones who mainly play for the RPG aspects...for the characters. They are eventually going to respond to the backlash. They have it. Especially within the next couple of weeks as more and more players finish it. So....we'll see.....at least we all have each other and can share headcanon/fanart that will, to a certain extent, fix things!! And think of players that don't know about the forums and suffer alone....like I said, we have each other! :DB)


@ SuranaMage I completely agree. They wanted it like this. They should've taken a page from DA:O. You can die, if you want. You can have someone else take your place and die, if you want. Or you can live with your LI and friends, if you want! There were choices and I am really shocked ME3 didn't do this. I completely agree that it is, or at least should be, possible to end Shep's story without her dying or getting stranded or whatever the hell that ending is suppose to be. And what really makes it worse is how most of the characters, and certainly everyone on the Normandy gets screwed! Which is why I want to find a way to leave Garrus behind which truly kills me to do so...to even think of it! *sighs* Hell, even DA2 had a happy ending! I am still a little shocked but I am glad I know this now because if I found out via the game....I would flip out and definitely cry. And then rage and think of throwing my controller at the TV. lol. But overall, Bioware really forced players into an ending they wanted....an ending that has various plotholes at that. Which is why I am trying to avoid it as long as possible.

I like your ending!! There will be a serious epic, lover hug and kiss between Shep and Garrus when they reunite. Even though I would like to have seen it in the game, headcanon will have to do! For now at least. It would've been awesome and so fulfilling (not to mention hopeful) to have Shep, her friends, her crew/allies, and her LI try to rebuild the galaxy or at least Earth....while highlighting the losses. The ME team would've gotten their point across while still making some people happy.
