Aw. I don't have hugs. I have peanut butter cups I could mail you. We can see what peanut butter cups look like after being sent by post!

There's something about these forums, I think... An unusually high percentage of posters get a red ring of death or their video card combusts.

I'm so sorry, I'm sure Garrus would give you lots of hugs and calibrations if he were here.

Life is one of those rough roads, the one that is less traveled. You have to find your way out of the thatch, mud and barbed wire. Like a soldier plodding through the blood stained mud on the fields of Passchendale, you must endure, rifle in hand.

When I finally received my BA in English/Literature this Spring, I recalled a quote, a quote from three men and women who never came back from the abyss. It was the Apollo mission, the failed one. Right now, on the Florida launch pad, launch pad number 2 as I recall, there sits a memorial and a small plaque. It reads.

"Ad Astra Per Aspera" - A Hard Road Leads To The Stars.

Don't quit, don't give up, keep to your dreams and your dreams will keep you.

Oh well hugs from Garrus lovers in this thread and squashed peanut butter cups will have to suffice for now! Big Bughug back to all of you. Rob I especially like your sentiments, they ring so true.

This is my first ever RRD - We've had our Xbox for about 4 years now and its copped a hammering in that time.  Sad thing is can I save my ME games or will I have to start over????

Good morning everyone :)

as for mountain dew: I live in Germany, but have a lot of friends in the states, therefore travel there twice or three times a year, heck, actually, everytime I can afford it. Found Mountain Dew around where I live just recently, overpriced of course but hey, who am I to complain? xD And now thinking that this tastes just like Garrus.....or a Turian.......speak about ingesting....oh wait, dammit! I'm still at my first coffee, my day hasn't even really started yet and you guys fill  my mind with gutter thoughts.

I can see Turians liking boxing and wrestling though. Also, athletic sports. Oh and paintball, I think they would LOVE paintball. :P

If your HDD is removable you can, just as long as you buy a 360 that is NOT the slim model. However, if you go with the slim you will have to start over, being that it uses new HDDs in place of the older ones.

The video card just happened to me.

@Rob: your quotes are what I needed as a reminder of a bigger picture. Thanks!

Rob's post is so touching, but there's the space geek in me wanting to cry out how it's so wrong. Apollo 1. Three astronauts dead during launch simulation due to fire. In memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice so others may reach the stars.

I looked up the Apollo incident (dunno what it was) and from rereading that quote, it was very touching when I know the background behind it.

What if you transfer the save files to a pendrive using the HDD with another 360 and then from the pendrive to the slim? Would that work? My 360 rrod'd as well and I want a slim but I don't want to lose my sheps :-/

Losing our Sheps after such hard work would suck Liec. Especially if you had to work as hard as I did to make my Renegade Shep (I'm one of those soft individuals who finds it difficult to be bad..)

Yea, I had a harder time making my renegade shep, was pretty much telling myself, just click the bottom option and got through it. Though in the end, some of the renegade options were fun to see, so at least to me it was worth it.

Being evil is supposed to be fun right? And sure some were (my main Shep is a Paragade) but other than that I agonised over every decision!!

Some renegade options are fun, but l'm such a sissy when it comes to be really evil.

At least Mass Effect's renegade run is tolerable. I can't play evil in Dragon Age and Alpha Protocol...

And Alexine, I was the same in Fable - just couldn't do it... even though I wanted the devil horns, kicking chickens and scaring children just wasn't me....(although teaching your dog to pee on people was pretty funny..)

For those of you that are interested in Nuke's Lovecraft stories. Inspector Valkeran is in this one.

Also Yep been deep in the lands of dragon age, but not so deep that I don't pop in to check up on things now and again!

EDIT: http://social.biowar...66/9371#3133503 another post with story continued.

Well, I'm speaking generally here. There were MANY complaints about
Kaidan back in the day. I'm not bashing the guy. He's just not my cup
of tea.  And it is impossible to be "just friends" with him.  You're
only options are to not talk to him or to tell him off in a rather rude
way.  He's pretty pushy.

At least he's easier to tell off than Liara.  I didn't have to restart my game because of Kaidan. <_<

Kaidan never gave me any trouble. When he said that he thought he was getting signals, MainShep was able to politely tell him that they're just friends. I know it can be harder for other people to get the right turn-down options though. MaleShep got trapped in Liara's romance by doing the same thing as others who had no problems.

Yea, I liked turians in general I think Garrus, Nihlus, Saren, Gavorn, and some random NPCs all look really cool. Never got the Lorik thing though...

I like all of the turians you mentioned (I think almost everyone here knows Saren's my favorite by now), except for maybe Gavorn because I can't remember who he is. xD Which one is he?

About playing evil characters: It seems to be easier for me than most of you guys, but maybe that's because I create characters rather than playing out the decisions I would make. There are a few choices my Shepards will never make though - it's just not fun to kill off your favorite squadmates. But a lot of them side with Cerberus, don't care about anyone else as long as they get the job done, etc.

In Dragon Age... I won't spoil it, but let's just say my current Warden is a Blood Mage. Anyone who played through the game should understand. He also left behind/killed certain squadmates.

Kim, Gavorn is the turian on Omega who's paid by Aria to keep the Vorcha out of her sight.   Even if you never speak to Gavorn directly you can find this out as the Vorcha on the the lower levels refer to "Gavorn's tricks".

I can certainly see how "Playing the character" vs "your choices" would make playing evil characters easier.  I haven't yet learnt to let 'me'  go.  Even my Renegade character had too much paragon for my liking.

My EvilShep will probably have quite a bit of Paragon points when I play him. He's the type that puts on an act to make people trust him, and would save the rachni queen to get an army of mind-control creatures singing songs about him. xD The one with the most Renegade in comparison to Paragon will probably be my Cerberus loyalist who follows the mission description exactly and never considers saving anyone (Feros colonists, rachni queen, selling Legion to Cerberus). It's fun for me to play all these different Shepards. You know, unless they insult Saren. That's not fun, but at least it's only a few lines.

actually, while doing the entire Jacob stuff yesterday, and having to do a lot of missions to get to the love triangle dialogue for Garrus, I went all Renegade on my Lana save. It was fun! I mean, I can't screw it up anyway, since I am not planning to import those savefiles into ME3 so yeah, it was really fun to be all Renegade all of a sudden. *giggles* But in a serious game? hm, not sure about that yet....will try one day though.
