LOL

very true. To bad Archangel wasn't a Squadmate for Omega DLC. I don't understand, pay $15, and not one thing that I see would offer replay value.

No Omega Hub (LOSB at least you can go back to)
No new squadmates (I want WREX & Zaeed back!)
Aria or Nyreen aren't even Permanent Crew members

WTF... am I paying $15 for again?

Ok, so confirmation for no squadmates during the DLC (that was expected but... damn! Still hurts).

I'll stay off the forums until I'm able to play the DLC. See ya all!

Yep!  We're all hiding out here.  Please help spread the word to our fellow turian fans, if you know anyone who'd like a ping.

Um...purple asari butt?  I honestly have no idea.  Steam just had its Thanksgiving sale--I paid $10 for Dawnguard and so far feel it's reasonably worthwhile.  But Dawnguard is more along the lines of 10 hours of content instead of 2-4.  Even at its original price that's a better deal :?

Folks, are we good with discussing Omega spoilers? There are some I read in General Disc that kind of make me want to headdesk.

the original leak'd script had it where Zaeed sided with Cerberus & there's was a Showdown with him, Aria & Shepard. If you kept him alive, then He joins Shepard's Crew...................................MAN

That to me was Much better than..........well now we have more war assets...

I could have had zaeed back? DAMMIT. More people that should have been taking up rooms. The next DLC BETTER be about the ME2 squad or so help me.

Anyway I haven't bought omega and won't until I get details on the next DLC. It's amazing that I haven't though since I would have been all "OMERGERD FEMALE TURIAN!!!" and bought it instantly if things were different. Nyreen does look awesome but its just not enough.

Yeah. Those that know me on BSN know I"m the biggest Wrex & Zaeed fan out there. I was thoroughly pissed. I too didn't buy Omega, I just watched it on YT just to see if there's anything new, there wasn't...

in fact, I didn't see any of the Bloodpack, Mercs, Blue Suns, Eclipse do anything LOOL...
The potential......this Game could have had... I've stated long before back when the game came out: ME3 if given 3yrs if not 4yrs, could have the Potential of being Legendary like: Mario & Zelda.

Now, we have to pay Day 1 DLC (even know it should have been automatically included) as a reward to Loyal fans.Oh I could go on....

But yeah: I agree, the next DLC (which looks like Citadel) not sure what's that about, morre mission on the Citadel? okay..........................what about Wrex? Fans been asking for him since ME2 dayz...

Man could you picture it? Wrex & Archangel back together kicking **** or Jack & Wrex? The Korgan Battlemaster with the Pyschotic Biotic

or How about Zaeed & Wrex or Grunt & Wrex. Man.......I can only dream...too bad...just too bad Bioware is controlled by EA

Ok. I'm ridiculously late to the party but I just finished playing and I'm honestly unimpressed. And for me to say that...

Really? 12 euros/15 dollars for that? Definitely doesn't live up to the hype. (I did manage to screenshot the cutest smirk on Shep's face though.<3)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed myself. But to quote the Nostagia Chick from her Matilda review, it was... okay.

Nyreen is, as predicted, pretty awesome. I really love her. She reminded me a little of Garrus, actually. Noble, a little naive, badass. If I was to hook up with someone in this DLC, it would have been with her.

I actually cried at one point. There was a point in the story in which I almost made a terrible choice, but didn't. I don't really know what the consequences were. Apparently next to none; big surprise.
Aria had some cool lines and she impressed me at some points. Didn't make a pass at me, I guess because I was already locked in a romance or maybe because Lexane was too nice and kept siding with Nyreen all the time. Don't know, don't care.

Combat was... generic. I missed my squad (not to mention Garrus) A LOT. This DLC will probably have no replayability, at least for me. With Leviathan, which I enjoyed just fine, I wanted to play my other Shepards through it as soon as I finished it (ok, I admit, it was mainly because of the romance lines). After getting Lexane through Omega, I have no wish to play the others.

If you want any spoilers, you can PM me. Or maybe we can directly discuss it here. I have a few screenshots, although I assume there are a tons of them in the General forums.

But really, an okay DLC for 1200 points? No, I'm really disappointed. I'm moving on to Baldur's Gate EE, thank you very much.

*runs away crying*

(Plus, it took nine hours to download the damn thing!)

I don't mind spoilers and / or discussions about Omega, but since I am quite sure I'll never play it I am not the one to ask. Thank you, Karrie, for the review!

Extra content for the squadmates would have been an argument for Omega. And romantic content would have been an even bigger argument. I would have liked to see Nyreen, but all in all a few spoilers content-wise were enough to convince me to save my money. No big surprise in one regard, since a developer's comment regarding romance possibilities with the temporary squadmates hinted at it.

Forget romance, Nyreen's plot spoilers alone made me go WTF. And I'm also good with spoilers since I'm not playing it until the price drops to something more representative of what I'm paying for. I'm gonna finish Torchlight II, then hop on over to the Baldur's Gate EE as well :)

I think Omega would've been worth it the full $15 if it was a new hub world, you could bring your existing squaddies, and it actually impacted the Cerberus plotline (Horizon, Cronos Station, etc.) As it stands, I think even Arrival was money better spent ><

No problem. And yeah, wise move. Not worth 15 bucks.

!!!!!!BIG SPOILERS BECAUSE I SUCK WITH THIS COLOR CODE !!!!!!!

I knooooow.  :crying:I'm still depressed over it. Believe me when I say she was a solid, super interesting character. She grew on me so fast, and she went out just like that... damn it! She was like a female, nicer version of Garrus! Plus it's not everyday you meet a biotic turian! Scratch that, it's not everyday you meet a FEMALE turian! I honestly thought I'd be able to either put her or Aria on the Omega throne. So much for that! <_<

Yep. That's what I thought, too.

After reading through the longer spoilers available, the only thing I am not quite getting is the "terrible decision you nearly made", since I see no real difference for any  "choice" mentioned. But I suppose it doesn't really matter anyway.

Trying to remove the bitter taste:

Ok I guess spoilers are fine now. By "terrible decision", I meant almost killing civilians by shutting down the energy fields. Meh, turns out I did the right thing since it doesn't make any difference whatsoever. I was panicking because Nyreen got wounded, but I wasn't going to kill hundreds if not thousands of civilians just to save my latest turian crush.

So much for keeping Nyreen alive. <_<

Ok, two pics because no matter what, I love her and she is awesome and I'm THIS CLOSE to headcanoning her getting out of there alive:

Hello my fellow Garrus lovers, it's been ages since I've been here(ish) but I was too busy playing Dragon Age Origins and holding hands with Loghain (yes I love him).

Anyway I just finished the Omega DLC last night and feel very meh about it. I don't think it was worth $15 but I didn't hate it. I was disappointed that we couldn't bring Garrus (imagine the dialogue) and I really didn't like how it was more shooter oriented instead of story. I liked Nyreen but because she kept running off I wasn't able to gain any emotional attachment to her so her death really felt random to me. The most exciting part for was the life support part, in the end I hit the button but out of fear of losing Nyreen at that moment and wasn't sure if Oleg was manipulating me. The creepy Adjustment (or whatever they're called) scene was very creepy but I was really wishing one would pop out at me while I was still in the dark, would have had a much greater impact. All in all the DLC was anti-climatic.

Some more of these pictures, and I'll reconsider my decision regarding the DLC...

I was feeling a little bitter myself by imagining what Bioware could have done with Omega. Same with ME3 in general, but since there's a five-letter medicine for that ending, I couldn't help myself.

Okay, the civilians, that makes sense. When I am not mistaken, playing an Engineer Shepard is worth it for that scene alone ;) Probably the only class-dependend interrupt in the whole gene.

[Just noticed I "borrowed" from your sig. Apologies, it was not intended - I just needed a relatively short quote and that one came to mind first.]

Hey Deviant! Yep, "meh" is the word I'd use to describe the DLC! In fact that's almost exactly what I said when Shepard came back to the Normandy.
I'm not sure why Nyreen grew on me so quickly. She really reminded me of Garrus. The way I roleplayed Shepard, she's probably feeling really down after getting back to the Normandy. Time to get cheered up?

@Seleya: No. Don't. Seriously, wait until its price decreases. It's okay, but not for $15/12 euros.

Playing an Engineer... right, I heard about the Paragon interrupt. Not interested enough to play Gabriela through this though. It will have to wait until my interest for playing the game comes back. And with BG:EE coming up, that's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

You didn't "borrow" anything, it's doesn't belong to me!

Nyreen (and the Adjutants who are awesomely creepy enemies) are ATM the only reason I really see to get Omega.

Leviathan and Javik are probably more worthwhile, but on principle, I refuse to pay for story DLC with key plot elements which should've been in the freaking game to begin with.  Besides, Leviathan at least fits rather poorly story-wise with MEHEM since it excises the Catalyst with great prejudice.

Omega is different.  It's like Overlord or LoTSB.  It's not something that should've been in ME3 to begin with, and it adds some fun gameplay.  Just not $15 worth, no matter how awesome Nyreen is.

Honestly, she looks far far too human for me. The thing i really really really loved about the Turian design was that neck that kinda moulded into the facial "neck" if you get what i mean, kinda draconic.

What we have is a very obvious human neck/skull structure, and that completely killed it for me :/

DO NOT SPEAK ILL OF THE DEAD. :crying: (Kidding, kidding.)

I understand. It didn't bother me that much, personally. I simply liked that she looked both turian and feminine, and for once, she wasn't covered under a hood (at least not the entire time, she actually gets rid of it pretty fast).

Thanks, what does the mod do exactly? (PS3 player)

Also can anyone speculate why Nyreen has slit pupils instead of round like her male counterparts? I liked her look overall though her lack of pointy head seemed a little off balance at times.

Why oh why couldn't we bring Garrus? Imagine the conversations! She was like a less confident/cocky version of him.

MEHEM removes the Catalyst from the ending and the Crucible simply blows up the Reapers.  No casualties from EDI or the geth.  With high EMS, Shepard is rescued from the Citadel by the Normandy and some helpful Alliance ships.  No Gilligan's Planet, and the EC memorial scenes changes so Shep places Anderson's name plaque and is reunited with his/her LI.  My sig links to the Youtube videos of the mod in action.

LOL, I'm not sure it's helping me any.  I'd probably enjoy the game better with Javik (and possibly even Leviathan).  At very least, it's more replayability.  What's Jacob's line?  "Good deed's like pissing yourself in dark pants.  Warm feeling, but no one notices." :D

I will definitely get Omega if there's a price drop, though, if only for the bonus powers.  I'm watching Chimevera's playthrough right now and drooling over the biotic badassery.

I have no idea why Nyreen's eyes are that way. I really like how tall she looks compared to Shepard. Imagine how small Shepard must look to Garrus.

She really is Garrus' "softer" self. She focuses less on killing the bad guys and more on saving the innocents, but they basically have the same goal. They'd make a terrific duo. I think Shepard could be jealous.

@Sable: You know, I think I really like pre-ME3 Jacob. The more I talk to the guy, the more I like him.
I somehow wish I hadn't gotten Omega.

I like him too.  He's a solid, reliable, non-crazy bro.  It's why I make a policy of killing him and Thane on the suicide mission now, so they can go out in a blaze of epic glory rather than making it to their ME3 incarnations <_<
