Prototype 2 game had my attention for awhile, all I'll say is it made me like ME3's Illusive Man more. Won't put spoilers. - Specifically the ending conversation-confrontations...

I toyed around with the idea of ME/Starcraft crossover.  Mostly because Zeratul's awesome and shares a VA with Saren

There is a Prototype/ME cross over specifically with a Fshep/Garrus romance in the works.

I'm liking it. A lot. Search for Darklight on ff.net

Funny mention StarCraft; I play that too. I like RTS games like C&C.

I think I might like to read that fanfic(s).

My own I'm working on that's crossover is crossed over with other things.

Just in case anybody looks into this thread without looking at the main page: The final SP and MP DLC for ME3 are announced. The SP one seems to be of the "must buy"-sort, and the MP DLC contains female turians - at least it's a nice goodbye.

I can't decide whether to be happy for more Garrus or sad on behalf of the Thane and Jacob fans.

Karrie, if you're still knocking around, would you terribly mind reviewing this DLC for us too?  :innocent:

Hi folks *wave* been away from Garrus related threads for a while, not that I still don't love the guy It's just I felt I had to be more grumpy on the behalf of others and lend my support to characters that need it. Speaking of which I have the above dilemma with this DLC. Before the "after the coup" thing was dropped it was the first time (in a long time)I felt happy for everybody.

Now my brain is split in two, on one side "wait...what does this mean for Thane/Jacob shepards if it's AFTER the coup??? Oh no I hope it's not another slap in the face" 

the other side...

"Yay more Garrus?! Wait, Shepard has an apartment...OMG does that mean we'll finally get a love scene that doesn't immediately fade to black? Come on, one last chance for Shirtless Garrus :wizard:"

I'm annoyed and...happy at the same time and now my head hurts It's nice there will be an inbetween moment/s after the date and before the final mission , if it's one thing ME3 did really well it was the Garrus romance.

This.  It also means I'm conflicted ethically.

I will happily pay $15 for more Garrus.  But if there's no parity regarding Thane or Jacob?  Does that mean I'm tacitly buying into the marginalization of those characters and their fanbase?  And what about the ME2 squaddies as a whole?  If this DLC gives them more content as a whole, that's good.  Paying for it supports them, and supports the developers who listened to feedback and brought the ME2 crew up to snuff.  But again, that's $15 for a degree of parity that should've been in the game from the start.

Bah.  I'm probably overthinking this.

I'm like Sable and Hyrule too. In one instant I'm like, "More Garrus? Sweet! Possibility of a non fade to black love scene? Awesome!"

Then I think about my fellow Thane and Jacob fans. "What about them? The DLC happens after the coup. Thane's dead at the point, and Jacob's with the scientists."

If they hadn't announced the DLC was post coup I would be cautiously optimisitc. Now I doubt they'll do anything for Thane and Jacob fans and that's the kick to the teeth.

I'm sure everyone else will get something, and some more than others (I'm looking at you Liara) but Thane and Jacob won't get anything.

I want to be proven wrong though. I really do, for my friends sake.

Wow, is this the new/old Garrus thread? I was a lurker there.
As for the new DLC, I'm looking forward to it. Twitter posts seem to imply that Thane gets something, even though he's dead, maybe a toast or an extended death scene.

This is indeed the new/old Garrus thread since the ME3 forums shut down.  Welcome back!

Twitter is IMO an unrealiable source.  We'll see on the 5th just what the DLC is about.

Well they had Garrus drop the L bomb , kiss shep in the most romantic way possible , talk about a future so hopefully some thing in this DLC will top the already awesome stuff we’ve seen so far. But what could possibly top all this?

 

I am hoping for

-A romance scene that looks more like one than “They touched hands! Quick! FADE TO BLACK!" The final scenes we've had so far (while sweet) have all been very short.

- More insight into turian relationships. Maybe Garrus does something for shep that is a turian equivalent of a proposal (squeeee!) I think that would be sweet since he's already asked if she wants to be a one turian kind of
woman .


- Another date, what they would do though I have no idea hopefully the DLC has something romantic planned.

-More squad opinions on Garrus/Femshep .It's something I can't get enough of  We've had some great comments already but the characters I want to make comments/poke fun are Joker, Wrex and Ashely (maybe Vega too actually). Wrex especially since I’m sure he’d have something hilarious to say about those too.

What about you guys? What could they do to top the Garrus romance?

Like you Hyrule_Gal I want a romance scene other than the fade to black. No one has to get naked, but anything would be better than what got pre stupid dream. I suggest Garrus and Shep sparring like he did with the scout.

Garrus doing the turrian equivilant of a proposal would be nice too. Or the headbump. Just like old times.

I don't think anything can top the original citadel date though. It's hard to think of stuff when the Garrus romance was so awesome to begin with. We're lucky in that regard.

Gawd, that L bomb made the EC for me - I cried like a baby.
I'd love to see the banter between Wrex, Garrus & F!Shep. My A team from ME1 back together again =) I felt their relationship wasn't hugely commented in the original, so any interjections would be great, specially from Ashley/Kaiden & more Tali.
I'd also like to see more of the under-pressure/stress shep/garrus reassurance. The checking she's alright, those never get old. IMO, it is a novelty to see a Bioware romance who is not just concerned about their problems.
I am also interested to see how Shep's apartment will pan out, like inviting up squaddies or throw a wild specter party =D

yeah. I'd like a full romance scene... and not just for the naughty bits, but i think they could make a tender, loving scene.... and it would be amazing. banter would be AWESOME. so awesome.... but i do agree that the romance until this point has been truly amazing, Garrus is by far the best romance in any game that i've played thus far.

and hi Sable! yes, its been about a year. heh, life got a bit hectic and terrible for awhile, and i got very into Borderlands for awhile... but i actually just started my new playthrough, all the way from ME1. so the new DLC should be pretty perfect timing for me.

*though i still need to pick up Leviathan, cause I'm a bad fangirl*

This.  So seconded.  I actually didn't mind the fade to blacks so this was literally the only thing I could nitpick about the Garrus romance.  Because you know Wrex would give him crap, and EDI would ask awkward questions, and Liara would say something Shadow Brokery and blithe.
