Go watch Alien 4.  Cause that's exhibit "A" in no mutant babies.

oh come on....that comparison is super lame! they used clone technology for ripley's genes so they could finally keep the alien queen alive in ripley's body to extract her eventually.

I was talking about the alien the Queen birthed. ;)

which wouldn't have happened if the scientists hadn't used clone technology in the first place.

I'm not sure I see my Shep or Garrus as particularly wanting kids.

Buuuut... when I read something about turian children being adopted after the Vallum Blast, I had a total d'awwwww moment and could possibly see them adopting in the future.

Man. BioWare just put out a batch of posters, and there's no Garrus. No Tali, either.

Aren't the figurines coming out soon? *Do want*

Hah! It worked! The stupid forums developed a nasty habit of logging me out every time I tried to post starting back in May or so. Sucked. Been trying every week or two. No idea what the site had against me. :/

They could adopt a turian orphan from Vallum and a human orphan from Horizon.

The superlike button is marked "Garrus Vakarian". However you must be a turian sniper to be able to see it.

I'm more interested in seeing Shepard meet Garrus' father. What would he think about their relationship?

I imagine that might depend at least partially on whether your renegaded or paragoned him.

Welcome back, aynxalot!

I think Garrus' father would probably hate my Shepards, since most of them go Renegade with Garrus. Especially MainShep, who idolizes the guy Garrus' father doesn't want him to become - Saren.

EvilShep is willing to take possibly foolish risks when it comes to power. He's not foolish enough to mind-meld with her though. xD The guy does value his own life, despite all the risks.

What if she starts killing the other teammates? Shep might be on to her, but some of the other squaddies I can definitely see succumbing to her (is it wrong that Jacob is the first one that comes to mind? Posted Image) But I guess that qualifies as a possibly foolish risk.

Yeah, that's just a necessary risk to him. He feels pretty confident that the teammates he considers important wouldn't fall for it - Garrus (most loyal teammate), Mordin (the scientist), Grunt (the krogan wrecking machine who calls him "battlemaster"). There are others, those are just the main ones. He considers Jacob and most of the crew easy to replace though, and they're the ones who are most likely to fall for it.

As for the interrupts, I only remember one that I didn't like, and that was the Renegade interrupt to beat up Mouse on Thane's loyalty mission. It seemed unnecessary, and so... out in the open for anyone on the Citadel to see. Although, now that I think about it, there's a line in Earthborn-specific mission where Shepard basically says he/she could kill everyone in the bar and it wouldn't matter because of the Spectre status. Not all of my Shepards will keep their Spectre status in ME2 though, like my current MaleShep.

Yeah, I thought beating up Mouse was unnecessary too: the guy was already scared enough as it was. But then again, I also thought that punching Khalisah Al-Jilaani was unnecessary. Why even bother? So she's talking crap, but if you draw attention to her by brutalizing her, it'll actually help her case and work against you.

I thought that was just a Renegade option, or did they make it an interrupt in ME2? I have a couple short-tempered Shepards, but they don't care much about how they appear to the public. xD

I think sometimes the renegade interrupt ends up just being (hulk voice) "Shep hurt!" It works both ways. For example, the 'renegade' interrupt on Garrus' recruit where you shoot the mech - wth? That's not renegade. That's good sense!

We know Garrus has a dad, and it stand to reason he hasor had a mother, but what if there are Garrus siblings running around, somewhere? XD

I want to meet Garrus' older brother. Playing it the steriotypical older brother way. lol

I still stand by my 'Garrus' cousin tends bar in the darkstar and is pissed off about it' head cannon! lol

The only reason I can think of it being Renegade is that you're, uh... using another man's gun?  (hopes that didn't go somewhere horrible)

giggity

Anyways, I took that as renegade as shooting the mech means that Garrus and Shepard have less time to prepare and lose the chance to fully take advantage of the element of surprise.

Also, Renegade typically is associated with impatience and aggressiveness.

Well if I can't save my Sheps from my dead Xbox HDD I'll just have to replay the game again and make sure I get some tips from you!!

If you do that, you'll be in the company of me...I had to restart my last ME1 playthrough because I got irrevocably ninjamanced by Liara /headdesk
And I hope today is a little bit better for you than yesterday...but in case not, here's a kitty hug just for you. :)

Oh, and welcome back Xsause :)

So Xsause I guess you can see that things haven't changed too much since you left...we're still having some pretty weird discussions

kglaser: :( Sorry that happened to you. That's the whole reason I don't even talk to Liara in ME1 anymore (that and her wonky eye.....it bugs the bejeebers outta me.) My husband, on the other hand, was the total completionist who was intent to squeeze every last point of XP out of the game....

Also: Aaaagh! NO! I thought we had escaped the mutant babiez!

i don't see why people do call that mutant babies. I think, IF it was possible to have cross-species babies, that would be awesome. Don't see how that would be a mutation. But maybe I'm just weird!
After all, I don't any of my Sheps being the mother person anyway.

You've never seen Alien 4, have you.

The first 7 Ripleys = nightmare fuel. /shudder :pinched:
